Silly goofs, calm down. First of all, the food is better than the«food» at Starbucks. Second, why would you expect gourmet steak at a café? Go to a steak shop. And third, we all have the right to self determination. If you pick a healthy option from the menu, you will get one. I enjoy the breakfast burritos in the morning. I pair it with a banana. I am a very happy camper after my appointments.

ZEROSTARS!!! Not gourmet, not worth it. Been here a couple of times after therapy & won’t be back. Advertised a «Cowboy STEW», but it was really a SOUP… not what I wanted. Also, I ordered a «TRI-TIPTERIYAKIBOWL» for $ 9.25. You need a CHAINSAW to cut through this meat. It was ALLCARTILAGEANDBEYONDINEDIBLE!!! Only 1 other tiny piece of meat that was also dry & like shoe-leather. This place should be EMBARRASSED!!! Definitely WILLNOT be back… EVER! Wish I could give less than zero.

Everyone complained about the last place to operate here because the food sucked but it was cheap. It featured wonderfully crappy boring sandwiches on junky cheap bread using off-the CISCO truck ingredients or probably direct from Sysco. At a health services place designed to keep people healthy? No thanks. It’s now called Café Vie(Café Life). Now the food is great — nearly gourmet and not cheap and everyone is complaining because you get what you pay for and this is good food made by food people who obviously enjoy food. Also– good food takes a little thing called TIME to prepare and even to eat, and I had to chuckle at all the medical staff who should know better than to eat and run– when the café first opened they made everything to order and this caused quite a stir in the Stanford med community who was used to grabbing a junky sandwhich and heading back to work. Slow down. Enjoy the wait. Turn around while you’re in llne and smile at the pretty girl or boy next to you, or feel some sympathy for a fellow person who may be there because they’re dying. Then, enjoy the wonderful food that was prepared for you by human hands, intended to be enjoyed slowly. I think it’s great and priced fairly and the design of the space and peaceful setting is the best in RWC I enjoyed an delicious beef briskit today for $ 8.00 and I also enjoyed the cute nurse at the back of the room.

Are you kidding me with these prices. This isn’t a gourmet restaurant, so not sure why they are charging these ridiculous prices.

As mentioned by others — unreasonably and seriously overpriced. The menu is rather boring including the pre-made stuff in the chiller(grab and go). A tuna sandwich and a bag of chips cost me over $ 9.00. Usurious. The previous management/company was reasonable and had a flexible menu with more variety.

Unhealthy overpriced food at a hospital is simply unacceptable. The one healthy option for breakfast is oatmeal, but this was sold out. Obviously larger quantities need to be made. The«manager» sold me a instant oatmeal kit but charged me the same as their oatmeal. Suggestions: — more healthy food options. — nutritional information about each item. — limit empty carb type foods.
