Great samosa white chick peas. Loved he sexy fries and absolutely reccomend the chaat burrito. Try the chicken and lamb … They are both amazing.

1) they ran out of tortillas 2) service was slow 3) the Kathi roll was messy, hard to eat, and poorly wrapped– there was foil and paper inside my roll. And they didn’t provide any napkins! The flavors were alright but this place could stand to hold their food to a higher standard!

So, you know when you’re driving, and there’s two turn lanes going in the same direction? And you know how you’re supposed to stay in your own lane so as not to drift and hit any cars turning in the other lane? The Curry Up truck was making a right turn in the inner lane, and then swung out into my outer turn lane abruptly, in the middle of the turn. I had to slam on the brakes so the back of the truck wouldn’t hit me. I’m definitely never patronizing them again. It’s not like I had a great experience the first time around anyways, but now I know they fail all-around. Update: one week later, the Curry Up Truck makes a left turn where there’s a posted«no turn on red» sign. Where’s the damn«How’s my driving?» sign when you need it?

Curry Up Now trucks seem to be everywhere these days plus their chain of restaurants sprouting up in San Mateo, Palo Alto. Usually, these are signs their quality might suffer with all that growth. Fortunately, after one bite of the Chicken Tikka Masala Burrito, that fear proved unfounded. What’s good about it? Let’s see, inside the tortilla are chicken chunks, garbanzo beans, basmati rice and onions mixed in a tikka masala curry. There were plenty of large chunks of chicken that were a bit dry but the curry made up for the lack of moisture. Just the right amount of curry so as not to soak the tortilla to mush. They got the mix right. Garbanzo beans and the basmati rice cooked nicely to add texture since they don’t have much flavor on their own. The curry is rich in the curry spices but not overwhelmingly so. Heat levels are very mild if any at all. I seem to be salt averse these days so they could reduce the salt levels. At $ 8, it’s a bit pricey for food truck food though one that’s filling and satisfying.

Great food, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. I was especially impressed with the staff. They provided us with quality service and care. Food was definitely above average compared to the rest of the Nor-cal Indian restaurant scene. Their indian-burrito concepts are definitely worth a visit. Look forward to visiting a lot more often.

The paneer burrito is the shit. I could go vegetarian if everything tasted as good as this.

I love burritos and I love Indian food. Both come together at the Curry Up Now food truck. The truck often appears in my neighborhood on Monday nights at the Willows Market in Menlo Park. There are usually several other food trucks but more often than not I place an order at the Curry Up Now truck. The Chicken Tikka Masala(CTM) burrito is my favorite. At $ 8.50 it is a little more expensive that a good Mexican burrito but where else can you get an Indian food burrito? It is a large size burrito with excellent filling. It is very spicy, not hot, but spicy. My wife, who dumps Tabasco sauce on everything, says they are too spicy for her. On the other hand I can’t tolerate more than a couple drops of Tabasco sauce but love this burrito.

i had been craving indian food, and this was the only indian food truck present, so i came here in hopes of fulfilling my cravings. i ordered the chicken deconstructed samosa($ 6), which was a medley of chicken tikka masala, veggies, potatoes, and mini samosas. i asked how spicy this item was and was told that it was medium. i then asked if it could be made mild or non-spicy and was told that it could be, so i took their word for it. unfortunately, as soon as i took a bite, i felt a pinch of spice, and the more i chewed, the more spice i felt, and it just continued to spread all over my mouth. this might have been mild for them, but for me, it was pretty darn spicy. after eating about half of this portion, i could not continue as it was just too spicy for me. aside from the excessive spice, i also felt that there were not enough chicken, in proportion to the veggies. the next time i see this truck, i will have to ask if they can give me something with absolutely no spice. stay tuned for an update…

Heard great things, didn’t disappoint, tasty chicken burrito, but… You made me stand there for 15mins waiting. Noticed you guys putting food in the display case when you make a mistake. Mistakes just sits there. I was passed over. 112, 113, 114, 115, 117, 118,.124. Oh! 116! I need a chicken! Oh! I’ll get it from the mistake pile. Dude this is cold. You could of gave this to me 15min ago and I could of been back to work by now. Yes, make me another. Never again. Lots of other options here in south park for lunch.

You gave me a meat burrito instead of the paneer burrito I ordered. This is the second time this has happened to me! The first time it happened(a year or two ago at Sunnyvale Ford), you said you would reimburse me in some way, but you never did and I let it go. I figured«hey, it happened once, it probably won’t happen again.» … I really thought that being an Indian food truck, you would be a little more careful about the food you serve. I’ve been a vegetarian for about 10 years now and I don’t appreciate spending $ 8 on food that I can’t eat, especially when I’m hungry. I get that the guy taking the orders was a little frazzled, but I still feel there is no excuse for this. I’ve gotten Curry Up Now only a handful of times since I started working in S. SF(Brisbane), maybe about 7 times? Which makes me believe that your total success rate in serving people the food they order 71%. Pretty low IMO. I hope I’m the exception, not the norm; how do expect to run a successful business when you can’t even get your orders right 72% of the time?

TIKKAMASALAMOTHERLOVINBURRITO! I swear every time I go to Off The Grid this is the truck I almost always have to get, hands down! I don’t think I’ve tried anything else at this truck except the TMB. I might one day venture off my norm and try other things as well. Even when I’m already full from trying other trucks I still get the TMB to go and eat it for later. I swear this burrito is to die for! Fan for life! This burrito packs soo much flavor and has the perfect heat. You don’t sweat hardcore like other spicy food, this gives you the tingle of breaking a sweat with the sensation of an orgasm… in your mouth of course! Now I just want to hunt this truck down!

Tuesdays and Fridays are always good days when the Curry Up Now truck shows up. Luckily for me, the truck parks itself right across from where I work so it’s within walking distance even though I usually end up being lazy and drive. It’s pretty popular so there’s usually a good amount of people waiting to order or for their orders but they get through customers relatively quickly. Only cash though so make sure to stop by the ATM if your wallet is empty. I’ve gotten to eat quite a few items on their menu like the samosas, chicken tikka masala burrito, kathy rolls, sexy fries, and a few other things I don’t remember. Out of everything I’ve eaten though the chicken tikka masala is hands down my favorite thing they offer. I feel like every time I order something other than the burrito it just ends up being something with similar taste and ingredients as the burrito and in a different form. That’s not really a bad thing since the burrito is so good but it’s kind of disappointing since there isn’t much of a variety in flavors. Disclosure: the chicken tikka masala packs some heat so if you’re not so keen on spicy food you might want to get something else.

I used to be a fan; the kathi rolls are solid and the food has consistently been delicious when they swung by my workplace. What really pissed me off this past Monday was that I stood in line for half an hour only to be told that they were all out of kathi rolls. AWHILEAGO. Look around. The other trucks update their menu when things run out. Customer service is key here and not updating the customers is borderline rude. I’m done wasting my time standing in your lines when there are plenty of other great trucks around.

I’ve had Curry Up Now 4 times at Edgewood Eats. Their chicken tikka masala buritto kicks ass. Even when the BF is on a diet, he will starve himself to have one of these. My personal fave is the tikka masala fries, which is like an Indian version of poutine. The paneer they use is just the perfect texture as to be firm, yet not hard. YUM!!! Their samosas are also great, albeit a little greasy sometimes. I put the paper bag with the samosas in it on top of a stack of napkins and the oil soaked through the entire stack. If these things weren’t so damn heavenly, I’d be grossed out, but you know I ate them anyways… LOL

I went to the SJ Movable Feast this Saturday for the first time. I have never braved Indian food, but have been meaning to try it for quite some time. I’d heard great things about the Chicken Tiki Masala Burrito from«Curry Up Now.» So I decided to make it my first stop. Our number was called, my friend and I shared so that we can experiment with several trucks without shooting our wad at one spot. No benches or tables, so we stood and passed the thing back and forth, huge rip after huge rip(like a giant Cheech Y Chong doob) — letting out orgasmic groans after each bite… The curry spices, fresh chicken, and new flavors overloaded my taste buds. I was BLOWNAWAY! Easily the best item I tried from the different trucks. So good, I got a second burrito to take home for lunch the next day! Mmmmmm! 4.5 stars!

Tried this truck several times when they came to China Basin. I’m a fan of the deconstructed samosa(chicken or beef, both were good). The mango lassi(which tends to go fast) was really good. If you like Indian food and can handle heat… Curry Up Now is MUSTTRY!

Conveniently located with ample parking space and nearby benches to enjoy the awesome ready to-go burritos! Though there was a line we got our food in less than 5 minutes. Yumm-O!

I’ve never been a huge fan of burritos but if you combine Indian food and a flour tortilla(yes — I only like this kind)…well then, I’ll be coming after you :) My coworker and I hit up this place since they were located at Oracle during our lunch break. I ordered the chicken tikka masala burrito and it was already wrapped and ready to go! I couldn’t wait to get back to the office. I unwrapped foil skin layer #1 — oh, another one? And then I unwrapped foil skin layer #2 — oooooh flour tortilla!!! :) The heat/steam from within the packaging moistened the tortilla skin a bit but it was still good! Now, I ordered the regular spicy(or «the lowest possible» — doesn’t matter when they ask you«how spicy?», they only have 2 options and pretend to nod when you ask for the least spicy possible haha). I took my first bite — it was a bunch of textures: onions, chick peas, soft rice, stringy chicken. It was also a mouthful of delicious flavor. First bite I was like: oh, this isn’t spicy at all! Pschhh! Second bite was like: hmm, yes, a little kick just like tikka masala should have, still doable! Third bite: woooboy… my tongue is itchy…(no this isn’t an allergic reaction) but it’s soooo good… keep eating and panting and fanning your tongue! I wouldn’t recommend the mango lassi though. It had a bit of citrusy aftertaste. I’ve been used to the sweet delicious yogurt flavor with the spices from previous Indian places, but this mango lassi was lacking in the yogurt flavor(no spices!) and I didn’t like that citric acid sensation. The consistency was amazing though. Too bad! :( My lunch was $ 10 for the burrito and lassi. And I only ate half. I’d probably go for it again but I am a faithful lover of naan. :D
