Gladiators Boxing Gym

This review is WAY overdue! I have been going to Gladiators Boxing Gym for over a year now, and I am so happy that I found it. I am a woman who has never boxed before, and I was definitely nervous walking in to the gym my first day. Within MINUTES one of the gym owners (Eloy) was talking to me, making me feel comfortable, and teaching me techniques. There is a women’s/adult’s boxing and cardio class every weeknight. It is an AWESOME combination of boxing and cardio circuits. Tony, the coach, is amazing. He sets up great workouts, and every time I am there I get one-​on-​one coaching that is better than what I would get with a super expensive personal trainer at another gym. Tony makes everyone who comes into the gym feel like family, and he is a great motivator and friend! So, whether you are a kid or teen or an adult, man or woman, first timer or old timer, this gym has a place for you! All you have to do is walk in and you will automatically be part of the Gladiator’s family. Great price, great people, amazing coaches, and better workouts and training than anywhere else!

This was one of the first gyms I’ve ever been too, glad to see they’re still around after more then a decade. Its a huge gym and the workouts are intense.
They’re all about toning up. I got some pretty good punches here.
The location is cool, kinda hidden. I like the hours. Its a good respectable gym with quality training, I dig it. If you bike over bring your bike in the gym.

The short and sweet:
This was the first gym I ever went to and I was a complete newbie — I now get great workouts, awesome coaching, and get to punch things and people for fitness!
The long version:
The closest I’ve gone to a gym before Gladiators Boxing Gym was when I was 16 and tried out the treadmill on sale at Costco. I tripped and the machine sucked my fingers in and I got hurt. Not the most engaging of experiences. Ever since then I harbored a fear of gyms. Recently, I decided I wanted to learn a sport instead, and chose boxing after reading some manga about it.
When I found this place on Unilocal,most of the reviews seemed to come from guys who were already working out a lot and/​or had boxing experience, so I was a bit hesitant to try out this gym. I called them and asked if a complete newbie could join, and they were very welcoming.
It has a very grungy, real feel to it, lots of posters of boxing movies and boxing champions on the walls, a small forest of punching bags near the entrance, a boxing ring in the center. Tony had me join a small group of people who were learning boxing for hobby and fitness (versus the fighters who trained for matches). The class meets Monday through Friday after work at 7:30pm, which was perfect.
I got to wear gloves and have a go at the punching bag the very first day! After a varied cardio workout, of course. The next class, Tony taught me how to throw jabs and hooks along with the right footwork and I got to throw punches at a person wearing a guard. I never knew punching stuff was so much fun!
Every day it’s about an hour and a half of varied workout — cardio, abs, weights, obstacle courses, boxing lessons, punching! And I feel right at home — everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Tony is a great coach and will genuinely care about the quality of workout you are getting. Even though I feel sore the next morning, I look forward to going to the gym every day, and I sleep so much better every night.

1:1 attention, Great hours. This gym takes you to the next level!

Although its hard to find, this boxing gym has been my home from time to time. Started working out here to prepare for football because they get you into shape and ended up quitting football and slowly getting more serious towards boxing. Eloy is a great trainer and will help you achieve whatever goal your trying to accomplish, whether your a beginner or a professorial boxer.

I’ve been going here for about 4 years. I’ve tried a few boxing gyms closer to home, but once my coach took me to train at Gladiators, i never looked back. He had also trained here during his fighting days and told me that Eloy was the only person he really trusts in the boxing industry. The guys at the gym are kind, honest, and most importantly caring. There are some gyms that do it for the money, but at Gladiators, it is for the love of the sport. They really care and look out for all their fighters. Whether you wanna do it for keeping in shape for you are doing it to compete, they will give you the best work out of your life! It is also about half the price of other gyms, but make sure you look carefully because they are hidden in the lot of a towing company. All ages are welcome.

If you want to learn how to box, go here. Trainers are very dedicated to this sport and know what they are doing. You get in the best shape of your life and learn alot of skills. I have never been in such good shape from previous gyms or workout routines. I have done THE best work outs i have ever done in my life and seen the most incredible results ever. Even if you dont want to get into boxing, its a great workout gym in general. Many varities of workouts you could do and they will give everyone one on one attention which is hard to get other places and they help out because they love it not just because they are getting paid for it! Need to come here. 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Probly will never return to another gym again.

Let me start by saying that all gyms are useless if there is no motivation or will, to workout and eat right. Gladiators Boxing Gym is the perfect environment for a person to succeed in whatever fitness goals they may have. The people there are all positive and very friendly, which leads you to come back often. What will also make you want to come back is the simple fact that results will happen. It is a far better workout than just simply doing weights and also a lot of fun. It may not be the flashiest boxing gym but it will get you to where you want to be.

This is Redwood City’s best kept secret! It’s hidden away in a A-​1/​tow truck parkinglot but once if you make an effort to find it you’ll be in the BEST SHAPE OF YOUR LIFE! If you want to get in shape this is where you need to go! I’ve referred a few members and they continue to stress how much better Gladiators is than their old gyms like 24, crunch, or powerhouse.
You will not get this much individual attention anywhere else for such low rates! This has to be the best value for your money at any gym! (and i actually work at another local gym lol)
I thought boxing gyms would be intimidating but they do an amazing job of making you feel at home and make a great effort on bringing you up to speed on technique so that your get the most out of your boxing workouts!
it’s a great place for kids and adults! Enough equipment and space to get your workout done without waiting around.
After 6 months here I had my first amateur fight and won. It was by far the best feeling of my life and I’ll be forever grateful for all the time and effort Gladiators boxing has put into helping me.
Whether your looking to win Golden Gloves or simply just want to get healthy and fit, come in and you can try a workout! I’ll be willing to bet you’ll be addicted!
