A great dentist. My wife and I both see him, as well as our young daughters. I don’t need to say anything more than that.

Been searching for a new dentist in Redwood City and I think I have FINALLY found the one. I’ve been to the office two times now and each time was a very good experience. What I liked most about Dr. Killen was that he was honest. He didn’t try to upsell me on things that I obviously didn’t need and before he recommended any work he not only told me why I needed it but also showed me why as well. Like another poster wrote he even filmed my mouth and played it back on the TV going through exactly what he saw in my mouth. Furthermore his work was very thorough but prompt as I was in and out in no time. Additionally his hygienist gave me what felt like a really good cleaning but was more gentle than any other hygienist that I can remember. And to top it off at the end of my first visit I got a free Oral-B electric toothbrush! Overall it was a great experience. Dr. Killen was«killen’ it» and I will be coming back for years to come.

Warm friendly office, update but not over the top on dental gadgets, very honest. It’s hard to find an office this great…don’t take your chances anywhere else.

Easily the best dentist I’ve ever had, and so far a solid choice for my entire family. I began to suspect this on my new patient visit last year. Dr. Killen gave me an extremely thorough examination and captured it all on videotape, later replaying portions to show me particular issues that he saw. Never had that before. He made measurements of my gum recession for future tracking. Never had that before. Then he told me stuff I never knew about my teeth and my bite pattern, gave me a free rotary electric toothbrush, and sent me on my way. Repeat visits to replace some fillings have been a breeze(for what it is). They give you a walkman to listen to music, or you can feel free to listen to your ipod like I did. I also don’t get treated like a «number» here. Dr. Killen comes across as an unassuming, friendly neighbor. His receptionist, Cathey, is the acme of organization and very personable. The rest of the staff are also friendly and seem to enjoy their work. On a recent visit, I had a painful toothache on a Saturday morning. I ended up calling Dr. Killen on his personal number and he met me in the office in 30 minutes, diagnosed the problem, had me pain-free for the weekend, and then got me into a specialist for Monday morning. My family is sticking with Dr. Killen for as long as we can.
