this park is situated in one of the nicer neighborhoods in rwc, about a half a mile north of the downtown area. the amenities include: +playground area for kids with swings and a play structure +tennis courts +basketball court +restrooms +water fountain +picnic tables and benches +walking/running paths circumferencing the park +free street parking one unique aspect of this park is the world war ii tank that sits in the southwest corner of the park. this is not something that i’ve ever seen at another park in rwc(let alone the bay area) and i think it’s a great tribute to this significant period in u.s. history.

A beautiful park with lots of running around space. The playground is really nice and has structures for both big and little kids. I also love that they have a picnic table that’s really low to the ground for the little ones. There are also 2 tennis courts that looks really nice, as well as a basketball court. Big plus for having«real» bathrooms.

There’s a WWII tank at the park. Great way to teach history. Older kids love to climb on it. Journal of Local History had a long piece on the tank.

My toddler loves the imaginative play structures. They have more little kid play things than I have seen at any other park. They’ve got a house, mushrooms, drum, maze, wall with a tube and crawl space, small slide, rocking toy, and swings. The main play structure is very brightly colored orange. It is very eye-catching. The tanbark is very clean and the streets surrounding the park are quiet. The park is also convenient walking distance to many other things such as restaurants and the library. Unfortunately, the play area is not fenced in.

This park’s renovation was completed in July 2013. Design map: In the older kid area, gone is the horizontal zip line(replaced with a group swing shown here: ). New trees have been planted, and the restroom facilities were replaced. Some fencing was added, but it’s not a fully-enclosed park. Swings are pretty much the same, the see-saw is new but in the same place, spiral slide/tunnel structure & rock wall are still there. Toddlers have several new structures(slide, huts/stations, toadstool steppers, springy-chair) in a well-shaded area. These additions are much more comfortable and entertaining for the preschooler set than the stuff at the ever-popular Maddux Park. There is quite a lot of litter in the tanbark: orange peels, popsicle sticks, candy wrappers, etc. C’mon people, the city provided a park upgrade! Please respect it, pick up after yourself and your kids, and«leave no trace».

Sweet find in the neighborhood. A small park that provides just about everything you might need, all contained within one small block. Tennis courts, basketball courts, playground equipment, picnic tables, play areas to toss a ball around and restrooms. The play equipment was relatively new. The tennis court surfaces were in good condition and the nets were intact. We didn’t stay long enough to explore the restrooms but it’s not a port-a-john, star for that!
