Ramon was recommended by several people that said he does good work at a good price, but is totally unreliable. I took a chance and went with him, and wish I hadn’t. Totally unreliable is a huge understatement! His scheduled visits never happened the day he promised. The delivery dates never happened anywhere near the dates he promised. That’s actually not a big deal, we know that life happens, and things come up. Just tell me there’s a delay, and it’s OK. But that’s not his style. He won’t return a phone call — ever! You have to catch him at a time that he answers, or you’ll never get ahold of him. The folks I’ve spoken to that know him say you get him an average of 1 out of every 10 phone calls. My experience is more like 1 in 15.
One person at our marina said he was so upset with Ramon’s flakiness that he had to physically hunt him down in order to get ahold of him. He said he’d never use Ramon again.
It’s not all bad; he’s a nice guy, and does pretty good work, at a good price. However, from all the frustration you have to deal with, probably better off paying 20% more and getting somebody you can count on.
Ramon replaced the old clear vinyl on our flybridge with Strataglass. Looked great! For a few months. Then we saw milky patches starting to form. Called Ramon — 15 times over the course of a week — and finally got ahold of him. He said he’d come look at it in a few days. No show. Still in the process of calling him, no answer, no return call. ARGH!

Fair prices and high quality canvas work. This husband and wife team put life back into two yacht hatch-​cover dodgers that are very expensive to replace. Carefully repaired and beautifully cleaned! Ramon has sewn several canvas-​awning projects for me with very good results. He also does custom out door upholstery, marine upholstery as well as auto upholstery.
I highly recommend him. He’s honest and dependable… and stands behind his work.
