Matt Outman was extremely helpful with our dry rot issues at a newly purchased home. We contacted him largely because he had done the pest inspection for the seller (and partly because of his good Unilocal reviews), and were very glad we did. Matt’s expertise and professionalism were obvious as soon as he arrived on site, and I appreciated his advice as to which areas we could address ourselves and which could be safely ignored. Matt gave us a very reasonable estimate for the dry rot that needed to be professionally removed, and he was extremely accommodating with regard to schedule. The work was all done quickly and looks good.

Matt did an inspection for us in Montara awhile back. He seemed to do an okay job, and was conscientious about not marking the carpet during his inspection. But what I remember most is the lack of customer service
1) He showed up 30 minutes late for the scheduled time
2) He talked more to the real estate agents than us (or maybe he realizes he gets more business from referrals)
3) Although we paid for the inspection before we left the property, it still took a full week for the report to arrive electronically. And when it did, all it said was «report attached». No greeting, no ‘thanks for your business’

I called Matt with 3 day notice to have my mother in laws house fumigated. I don’t know how he did it but the organization was great and the team he works with was efficient. Did everything by phone and email. He is incredibly honest and trustworthy and as said before, won’t sell you something you don’t need. Even on short notice he insisted on confirming we needed tenting. Pricing was good and not necessarily to haggle or shop around. Even still, its worth it to pay a premium for this level of service. Thanks Matt!

Matt Outman came by today to investigate some drywood termite droppings we had noticed. After extensive investigation, he told us they were left over from before the house was fumigated a little over two years ago, so no need to spend money to re-​fumigate. In other words, he could have told us we needed an expensive fumigation job and made some money off us, but instead was honest and told us we didn’t need anything. Total cost for this investigation and advice — zero.
Matt is also pleasant and easy to deal with, turned up exactly when he said he would, and gave us a full explanation of everything he did and why he reached his conclusion.
