PAT-te-KAK Daycare

Ms. Pat cared for our daughter from 3 months to 2 years, and our son will be starting at Pat-​Te-​Kak daycare as soon as he turns 3 months old. We all love Ms. Pat – she’s become like family to us. I’ve heard of other parents having to drop off crying kids at other daycares because they don’t want to go, but I never once heard a whine or complaint from our daughter during 2 years of drop-​offs. She was always excited to get there and eat (second) breakfast or play with the other children. Even on days when she was tired or cranky, a big hug from Ms. Pat was enough to coax her out of Daddy’s arms.
Our daughter always left Ms. Pat’s clean and happy with a full tummy, an empty diaper, and either a written report of her activities (up to 12 months) or a new piece of artwork. Pat provides top-​notch care: it’s a clean and safe environment with skillfully enforced rules. She’s a veteran caretaker – sometimes she seems like super-​woman when keeping several kids of different ages content at the same time all day long. Honestly I don’t know how she does it, but it’s clear that her heart is really in this work.

As a nervous new mom, I was worried about trusting my 3 month old to a stranger – that was until I met Miss Pat. From the moment I walked into her home, I was relaxed and had total confidence in her ability to care for my son. She cared for my son until he was 3, and my daughter from 3 months until she was 2 and started pre-​school. The child-​to-​adult ratio in her daycare is small, so the children get the one-​on-​one attention they need and are able to socialize with other little ones. I was 100% confident that the care they received was by far more outstanding than the care they would have received in a large center.
Miss Pat is warm, caring, tender and intuitive. She anticipates the needs of both the children and their parents. Her home is warm, safe, clean, and child-​oriented. On top of all of the other wonderful-​ness, she potty trained both of my kids, which any parent will tell you is amazing and no easy task!
We love her dearly, and whenever we run into her around town it is like no time has passed. We consider her a member of our family.

Miss Pat has taken care of our daughter since she was 4 months old, she is 3+ now, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. She has always been wonderful, caring, loving and understanding. We highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a loving home to take care of your child.

We let Miss Pat take care of both of our children and she was wonderful – we couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She is sweet with the children and listened to us when we had special instructions (i.e., the kids needed medicine at a certain time of day). She is like a member of our family and if we were to have more children, we wouldn’t hesitate to have her care for them.
