This place refused to serve me because I had a service animal. I do plan on reporting him and seeing for violating my rights as a disabled veteran. He claimed it was against health code & refused education

The service feels like you Have come home. Very nice man, probably the Owner, is so nice. The falafel plate was wonderful. Would have liked a bit more hummus. I loved the family atmosphere. Some people were smoking hookahs. I can’t wait to go back. They have internet. Too bad there were no English subtitles on the TV for the lonely man eating alone.

The guy was nice. But the food portions are kind of small which wasn’t that big of an issue. However I work down the street so I figured I would give them a try based off of previous reviews, so I called in ahead for pick got there before so I can pay and go. The food was cold so it was a disappointment. Definitely didn’t get my money’s worth.

Be careful, this place cheats on your credit card bills. I signed a charge for $ 8.69 and didnt bother to collect my customer receipt. Later found the guy charged $ 10.00 on my card without my authorization. You should be ashamed of yourselves. BTW your food sucked.

The falafel and hummus are amazing. Ali gives amazing service. I only had been here once and the next time I came for a to go order, he remembered my family and asked how everyone was doing. I have been back a few times and service and food have been so good.

Food is great both to go and delivered. The staff I met was very friendly and kept me company while waiting for my lunch. Food is great and never any questionable meat. Highly recommended if you can find parking or doordash it!

Worst place ever!!! DONOTCOMEHERE!!! We showed up really craving some gyro and wraps and came to do a to go order. We waited for just about 10 minutes for service and even had a guy who attempted to grab someone from the back room. No one showed up and we didn’t get any service. First and last time we make the attempt to come to this place. On a side note the restaurant had a very dirty appearance and there was food spread out that had been sitting there for a while. Not sure how a place like this passes their food quality inspections.

OMG this place is delicious! I had family in town, and it’s just not Christmas with family unless we get our lamb fix. We both had the lamb kebab plate and it was fabulous. The lamb was flavorful, fresh and tender. It was served with cumin flavored rice and their house made hummus. My sister had hers with salad that had a delicious, light herby vinaigrette dressing and we decided to go halvsies on our sides. Everything was perfect! I have to admit we were a bit hesitant as the restaurant layout and general ambience was basic(not that we need anything fancy schmansy). However, we are so happy we did not dismiss the restaurant because of this, as the food and owner, Ali are just delightful. I am already planning to have them cater my next dinner party or celebration — whatever that may be. Highly recommended, and the first of what I am sure will be a lifetime of visits. Oh, and I know the hummus has been mentioned in multiple posts. Yep, it is that good. A bit of a surprise it is not sold in a convenient«to go» vat size.

Came here on a Sunday night before the movies for a quick bite to eat. We had the beef sharwama wrap and the BBQ chicken wrap. They were delicious and fresh. We thought the wraps looked small but they were actually very filling. The service was quick and we were out with plenty of time to make it to our movie. We will definitely go back for the food and try the hookah next time!

This place really is a true hidden gem for downtown Redwood City. Their wraps are downright amazing and very inexpensive. Even the vegetarian plate my sister got was delicious and I usually scoff at vegetarian plates. We told the owner we never had lentils before so he hooked us up with a heaping portion of it so major kudos for that. I ordered one of every kabob to take back to the family and not one person had one bad thing to say about them. My cousin from Hong Kong said it was the best burrito she’s ever had. Haha. Anyways the décor is clean and quaint. For a quick bite or a decent sit down meal you really can’t go wrong with this place. Honestly the name really says it all.

We came here last night, right after watching the movie in the nearby theatre. It was one of the few places that was open late. I was a bit apprehensive regarding people smoking hookah in the restaurant, but luckily, there wasn’t much smell inside. THISPLACEIS A HIDDENGEM! If you crave for fresh, authentic mediterranean food, just drive/walk/fly here without a second thought. We ordered the lamb plate, chicken shawarma along with turkish coffee and the baklava. The turkish coffee here is amazing and was served to us in cute traditional teacups. The tiny restaurant has a cozy, relaxed feel to it and the owner who served us was very kind and courteous. Throughout our dinner, he was very attentive to us and proud of the meal he served us. What really left a lasting taste in the mouth were the Afghan bread and the baklava. The owner served us bread, FRESH out of the oven. Never have I tasted pita bread as soft that melted right in my mouth. I now have a new definition of pita bread, a baseline to compare all the pita breads in the world with. The bread along with the homemade hummus, is a super dangerous pair indeed. Dinner is never complete without a baklava at the end. We were lucky, because we got the first bite of the baklava stack pulled right out of the oven. The unbelievable melting baklava was just the right bit of warmth & sweetness and duly ended a perfect meal. P. S. I woke up this morning craving for the bread and will be running over there someday soon!

Perfect for that late night craving… called and when I went to pick it up, it was hot and ready with a kind old man near by who said, «here you are, you called in, no?» Gyro wrap and lentil soup. Fresh ingredients. Plus, I didn’t know there was hookah anywhere around me, so 2 extra points. And he’s not that old…

Late at night I’m not sure if more people come for the hookah or the food. I came for the latter, and it’s alright. If you have trouble finding the place, it’s adjacent to one of the open parking lots near the movie theatre. Its doors are not on the streets, but in the lot. My friend and I both shared 2 wraps — Beef and Lamb(gyro) and Chaplee(ground beef). For the cheap price, I’m pretty sure I got what I was expecting. They’re very liberal with the lettuce, because it takes up over half the filling. The beef and lamb was well seasoned, but the meat layer was no thicker than two thin strips — there was so little meat we had time to count. As I expected, the chaplee wrap had more meat but was relatively bland by comparison. As for the combo upgrade, it’s probably worth it. Your drink will probably be canned soda. The fries were shoe strings with some sort of spice that I liked but wasn’t very satisfying. I think this place offers good cheap eats. I’ll have it in the area but it probably won’t be a meal I’m craving.

We got Wraps, Hookah, and a big pot of tea for $ 65 for 4 people. Amazing price and even better service. All our stuff came out pretty quickly and the food was quite delicious. I will definitely be back for more of this awesome place. Oh and did I mention they had arabic music playing in the background?

Pretty good. Service was really awesome and the food was good. We got the chicken shwarama and the beef shawarma wraps. We asked for spicy but the jalapeños weren’t spicy, but that’s ok, still funny and healthy. The outside wrapper is like a burrito wrapper not lavash. The falafels appetizer was also good. Good crisp to it and spices. I noticed you can also hookah here but I’m pregnant so maybe another time ;-)

I got the chicken kabob plate here and it was DELICIOUS! You can choose 2 side out of the three choices, and I got the hummus and rice.(other option was salad). The hummus was deliciously smooth and paired extremely well with the chicken and rice! So why am I giving it 3 stars? I got my meal to go, and when I opened it, I was underwhelemd. There were only 4 pieces of chicken. I definitely thought there would be more, especially for the price I paid. Don’t get me wrong, the chicken was DELICIOUS! But I really felt like 4 pieces was just not enough… I wish there was more.

This review for order through , so not the most comprehensive. However, the Chicken Salad( , $ 6.99) that I got was not good at all, so I wanted to make sure I remembered not to order it again. The chicken was super dry and didn’t have much flavor, and the dressing was way too tart/lemony, so I barely used any of it. At least the lettuce and tomatoes were really fresh– that was much appreciated. Although the salad wasn’t a favorite and I wouldn’t order it again, I may have to give their Afghan Bread and Hummus a try in the future.

The food is great here, but the extra star goes to the service. The owner goes out of his way to be as accommodating as possible and he is super nice and personable. I came here on a late lunch break around 3PM on a weekday and was the only person in the whole restaurant. It’s a small place in a little alley, the very definition of «hole-in-the-wall». I asked if the combo plate came with 2 sides out of the rice, hummus, and salad. He said I can give you all 3 if you want! Of course I happily obliged, but the kitchen forgot to put hummus on my plate. This actually turned out to be a blessing because he ran to the kitchen and got a huge plate of hummus just for me! And when I finished every last bite of the stuff(which by the way was SCRUMMMMPTIOUS), he asked if I wanted more. I have never received such awesome service. Both the beef and chicken kabob were delicious, but I would have to say my clear favorite is the beef. The owner tells me that they buy only the most premium meat for their dishes and I can tell because the beef tasted like fat chunks of quality steak. Very moist and flavorful. I have no complaints about the rice and salad either. When I went up to pay, he told me about a catering order that was placed mistakenly which left $ 89 worth of food in his car and asked me if I wanted to take some plates home. Such a cool dude. If you haven’t already realized from reading my review, the owner of this business really left a lasting impression on me and will definitely be back to try the wraps and the hookah and everything else this place has to offer.

This little shop is located on a side street between Jefferson St and Main St. If you see Suisha House or Arthur Murray on Broadway St, go down that small alleyway. Loved the painting on the wall of Sharbat Gula(«Afghan Girl») who was featured on the June 1985 issue of National Geographic Magazine. Each table also has a beautiful landscape painting on them, so definitely look around! Lots of tables but the shop was empty at 1:30PM on a Tues. They’re on OrderAhead so they are probably geared for to-go orders during lunch. One TV over the ordering counter. No outdoor seating. Open late w/hookah available. I was out late last night and didn’t have time to prep lunch for work. I’ve had this place bookmarked for awhile so I thought this would be a great opportunity to try them out. Very nice gesture. I was already starving coming in(I have a late lunch) so it was nice having something to munch on in the meantime. It was a good size, about the size of a golf ball but the actual order was bigger than what he let me sample(way bigger than Falafel Stop and bigger still than Falafel Drive-in). Fantastic crunch, yet still moist on the inside. The hummus was creamy and well seasoned, however, the bread was a bit hard to tear and eat. Never had Afghan bread so not sure how it’s supposed to taste like though. I may just get some pita bread elsewhere to eat w/the hummus next time. Several of my co-workers tried some of the hummus and they all it. So much so that all of them are planning on coming here themselves within the week(some are even going later today). I loved how the wrap was grilled a bit so that it wasn’t too soft to hold everything together. The meat was tender and juicy. I should’ve asked for extra yogurt sauce on the side though because I needed just a little bit more(but that’s totally personal preference). The gentleman assisting me(possibly the owner) was very nice and had the food come out fairly quickly. Their baklava sits in a glass display next to the cashier and was so tempting, I added it to my order last minute. When he went to put it into a to-go container, he added an extra Baklava for me! How sweet! :D Definitely coming back to try more of the menu since it’s nearby the office. Plus, with such a pleasant experience I highly suggest supporting this local business instead of the other major chain establishments in the area.
