This is a fun pumpkin patch to take the family to in the fall. They are open to the public on weekends. Go early in the season on be prepared for long lines for the train ride. You can bring your stroller, snacks, and camera, and they also have food vendors in sight.

So these people charge an entrance fee for 3 week old infants? Major airlines don’t charge that! Are they serious?!?

Came here yesterday after a friend’s suggestion and this place did not disappoint! It’s a huge property that has a pumpkin patch, train rides, hay rides, a cute little corn path, a couple rope swings, and vineyards. It’s easy to find and there are lots of parking! Everything from the rides to the food is cheap and everything is relatively clean(for a farm!) Anyway, this place is really not stroller friendly and the signage to get to the trains was not very clear. The particular worker we ran into directed us to go up sets of stairs when we could have gone up a path that allowed a stroller. My Dad, who has a bad knee, struggled getting up there. All in all, this place is a nice place to spend a few hours with your family! The 40 min wait was worth the train ride especially if you have some shave ice to snack on while you’re waiting!

I had a great time at Hillcrest today. I will agree that it’s not very stroller friendly. We went for a field trip and most all activities went smoothly. It’s a sweet little place that I hope to come back to. Why 4 stars? Well, I was standing with a few parents and didn’t even see a little boy fall into the small Koi pond. With all the distractions going on on a field trip, it’s scary to me that I was within feet of this pond and didn’t see him fall in. I would recommend that a secure mini fence be built around that pond. I doubt he would have drowned, but he did fall in. Maybe a sign too. Us parents need to take responsibility as well. I get that. As a business though I hope they accept my constructive criticism and protect themselves and their mini visitors. Again, great place. I’ll be coming back. BTW one child on the field trip did use a wheel chair and I saw the staff do everything within their power to accommodate her and help her feel like a part of the group. I was very impressed with that.

Great place to take the kids(though not stroller-friendly at all). My kids loved the trains, and everyone on staff was very friendly and in character. Why three stars, then? Again, not stroller-friendly. I can’t imagine how they would accommodate someone in a wheel-chair. Also, the concession trailer seriously needs to revamp their corn-dog recipe. What I got was a hot mess. WAY too much batter, undercooked and fell apart under it’s own weight. I had to eat it with a fork. The hot dog was obviously a chicken/pork/beef link, and was cold. Not expecting great food, and maybe I’m still feeling spoiled from the Fresno Fair, but for $ 5.00, it would have been nice to not have to throw it in the trash. I should have got the kettle corn… Aside from that, it is a fun place, and I wish I could give it a better rating. I’m halfway between 3 — 4 stars. I’ll go back, though.

We have been getting our tree here for years. Incredible grounds, great for family photos or general exploring. There is a train ride available, which goes around the perimeter of the uphill area. The people are warm and full of holiday spirit. There is a concession stand with beverages, sweets and gifts so you can really enjoy yourself while seeking out the perfect tree. Not to be missed!

So cute! The kids love the train ride. Cheap too! This year will be our 2nd time going. This is a must see if you have kids! Bring the camera and take lots of pictures! Not sure if they accept CC’s, so bring cash.
