The pizza should actually be rated 4 stars because it’s always pretty darn good. Better than your typical pizza chain for sure. I’ve been there several times in the last couple years and it’s always been consistent. The service is generally good with normal wait times as compared to most pizza places. The atmosphere is ok, clean, just not super exciting but that’s ok. My one beef would be the price, i know i know good pizza should be worth more right? Yes it should be but it’s still considerably more. I asked our server how big a large was and she told us but when the pizza came we discovered that she was apparently talking about the size of the pan and not the pizza that was on the pan. It was like a medium pizza on a large pan. Seems to me the pizza should be kinda sorta close to the pan size don’t cha think? Overall it’s good enough to go back.

I love the pizza from here! I highly recommend the pepperoni and chicken artichoke with white sauce pizzas. I can’t recommend anything else on the menu, because it’s always pizza that I get YUMMY

Great family owned Italian restaurant. The pizza is a good choice but the calzones are out of this world! They are big so bring your appetite, but so darn good!

Went here a couple of days ago, and I was a bit disappointed. I got the ravioli and the sauce was watered down. My date ordered the pizza and it didn’t look appealing visually. Overall, the food was okay. Although, the waitress was very sweet! A bit over priced for the quality.

Modest and tucked away, but the food was fantastic! As was the service! The food is cooked with care, and true to its Italian heritage. Everything is fresh and not processed or rushed! Worth the drive!

The food at this restaurant really deserves to be rated higher than three stars. Unfortunately the service is what brings this overall rating a three. My wife & I sat down to eat on a slow night. We weren’t given menus or drinks for over 20 mins. Others were sat & helped before they remembered us. The pizza was good & the cracker bread was awesome. It just took almost 1hr before we ate our dinner. I truely like the food, just might consider calling in my order next time, as I saw many others did.

My wife and I visit here often because of the fantastic service and food. The food is consistent, as is the service we have experienced. The take out is great! Typically we get the dinner for two. But I’ve been known to order the tortellini with Alfredo. The ranch here is home made and garlicky! A must for garlic lovers.(You can get it to go too!) The breads are great; cracker bread and cheesy garlic bread. They’ve got a medium sized selection of beer. Try the Birra Moretti La Rossa. It’s my favorite here. The desserts here are a great way to end your meal. You will be stuffed from the amount of pasta you order, so the intimate portions provide the perfect amount of sweet to end your meal. As you’re finishing your meal, the cook, Martin is likely to be walking around talking to customers! The atmosphere here is very small-town-like and won’t disappoint you!

I ate dinner at Valentino’s Pizzeria in Reedley, CA on 6÷2÷2014. It was my first time there. I was with a group of 38 with Great Western Tours. We all had pasta dishes. Some had Lasagna, some had Mostaccioli, some had Ravioli with Meat, while others(including me) had Ravioli with Cheese. I also had salad and an ice cream for desert. The food was good, the restaurant pleasant, and my server Tiffany did a fine job as well. Plus, I took photos.

I’ve been going to Valentino’s for years. Great food! However I’ve been greatly disappointed in the food lately. Mostly I get their pizza. But I don’t know what has changed but the pizzas don’t taste good at all anymore. I thought it was just me or maybe they were having an off day. But I kept coming back and trying it again and it was terrible. The pasta is good but the prices are high. It seems like they want to be an Italian place not a pizza place. I used to come there quite often from out of town but I don’t think I’ll go back anymore as the pizza is very disappointing. They have switched to those small cheep pepperoni’s that turn into little grease filled cups when they are cooked. That’s a difference you can see as well as taste. But the whole thing is different and not in a good way. Hope they read the reviews and realize how much people miss the old recipes.

Great service and food cooked exactly to order. what else? A live acoustic set by local band The Autumn Lo made rhe evening even better. Why 4 stars? I have never given a 5 star to any restaurant. Call my picky.

My first visit here was in 2007 while I was working in nearby Sanger. I travel back to the area every year and this has become one of my regular places to eat. The New York steak is my favourite, and if you ask for some fresh garlic on top the chef will chop some up and put it on. Don’t get the Calzone at lunch time unless you don’t have to go back to work — it’s fairly big and warrants a nap after eating it. A better lunch time option is the Italian Sausage Sandwich — the chef makes the sausage himself — excellent. The place also bakes their own bread which is a nice touch.

The pizza is horrible here I ordered a large pepperoni with olives and mushrooms and it was bad, just very greasy and bland taste, went to me-n-eds instead and tossed out The pizza from this place.

As a former Reedley native I looked forward to having pizza here after being told by the owners that they used the same recipe for the pizza as the former family did… NOPE… I didn’t recognize the pizza… and yeah, the new owner just wants to schmooze and make himself seen. Very sad, because there isn’t anything here in Fresno that even comes close to the old Valentino’s pizza.

I happen to know the place well and I think Francis says it best. Check it out! If you’ve traveled anywhere outside the valley or the state, you know a little more about quality and quantity. They do great stuff! Pasta Al Forno– GETIT!

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Definitely not worth the price. The night started out great, and I was immediately satisfied with this place because they had my favorite beer(Anchor Steam). We had waited 15 – 20 minutes to order after being seated, because we wanted to wait for the rest of our party to arrive before ordering. Once all of our party had arrived and we had agreed on what pizzas to order we waved down who we thought was our server. With a snooty attitude she told us she would get our server. We ordered two pizzas, Garlic Chicken and the works, 4 salads, some garlic bread, and a bunch of extra ranch(based on the other review who raved out about the ranch). After 20 minutes or so they brought out the salads. After giving salads to each person that ordered one the server still had 1 in her hand. We told her we only ordered 4, but then she started TELLING us what we ordered as if we had made the mistake. So to make things easier one the people in our party said they would take the salad. The salads, by the way, are $ 7 and consists of 1 ½ cups of salad and some olives, such a rip off. As we continued waiting for our pizzas and bread we were never once approached to see if we needed anything. Every time we needed something we had to wave someone down. After about an hour we started wondering when our pizzas were going to be ready. At about the 1 ½ hour mark we asked the first person that walked by when our food would be ready. We told her(the manager) that we had been waiting an 1 ½ hours for our food. And instead of being apologetic, sympathetic, or even just nice, this woman starts blaming us! She tells us that because we waited for our party to arrive before ordering we were now at the bottom of the list of orders! We didn’t get our pizzas until almost 2 hours after we ordered them! I understand they were busy, but 2 hours!?! AND when we asked for our ranch that we had ordered(2 hours prior) they brought out two small dishes and said that’s all they had left! We asked our server if they could make more and she said she would ask the manager. When she asked the manager(whom I was told is named Don) she rudely shook her head and said NO. We told them we had ordered A BUNCH of ranch 2 hours ago and they just brushed it off like oh well. As we ate I looked over at the cooks who were obviously talking about us. I understand customer service, and I know people can be rude! But I believe we were totally justified in our complaints! We were very nice to them, and even put up with their attitudes, but after 2 hours we got cranky, and rightfully so! It’s Friday night and your blaming your guests for not being able to provide prompt service!?! They need to hire more people if they can’t handle it and get mad at their customers. Our bill was shockingly expensive! The food wasn’t even worth the price. You’d think they might have comped us for something, anything, even the bread! But they didn’t. Oh and my favorite part, THEYACTUALLYCHARGEDUSFORTHEEXTRASALAD that we didn’t even order! Horrible horrible horrible customer service! The food couldn’t even make up for it! And the price was like the rotten cherry on top of a shit sunday.

What the hell happened to this place? Since the original owners sold out to a relative, this local favorite has been sliding into an abyss. The food has changed.(For instance, they replaced hand tossed/rolled crust with some cheesy machine to roll out the crust that leaves little holes in it, not an improvement) The worst thing is the service. The new owner is a total ass. This is not an isolated incident I’ve experienced, or only by myself either. What part of being in a service oriented industry does this guy not get? If you don’t want to deal with people, get the hell out of the kitchen! MEH!!!
