I am visiting from Oregon. My friend booked two nights here but I wish it was longer. The people who run the b&b are so kind and pleasant. We had breakfast delivered to us both days and it was delicious both days. The view from our suite is incredible. I was also over excited to see lightning bugs for the first time! I loved just sitting on the porch swing taking in the beauty. We went for a little hike down. We didn’t make it to the end but very pretty.

This place is off the beaten path. Hooray! We loved it because after a day spent touring around town it was nice to go home at night to a place that was quiet and peaceful. Our cabin was very well appointed and cozy. Lots of little lamps for soft lighting, and pretty décor pieces everywhere so it felt more like a home than a motel room. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and the giant King size four poster bed took up most of the room and was very comfortable. From the moment we arrived Bob made sure to offer his help and assistance with anything at all. Breakfast on both days we stayed was over the top delicious! Eggs benedict one morning and a beautiful stuffed crepes platter the next. Breakfast is served at one big long table, so you will be eating the other guests. That can be a positive or a negative I suppose. It’s hard to feel social first thing in the morning if you aren’t a morning person! We might have preferred little two seater bistro tables and a little ambient music to make it feel more like a quiet little café, but we were lucky that the other guests staying while we were there were friendly and pleasant and not at all obnoxious. Still it had the cruise ship feel of «you will eat with these people at this time each day and you will like». ha! Perhaps I’m just romantic in my designs to get away to be with JUST my husband for a few days. We made a visit to the Sweet Shop and sampled a slice of chocolate cake one afternoon. Delicious! It was nice to also grab a few bottles of cold water for the road before we left. Nice idea having a little place like that set up for guests! Loved the cozy chairs on the deck and spent several hours one day just reading and listening to the birds. If we are back in the area we will gladly come back to stay here.

It has been a while since I posted a review, so I will start with a recent trip to Branson, MO a month ago. We stayed here after researching numerous hotels, motels, and resorts in the nearby area. Most, if not all, were overpriced or did not meet our standards. I happened to stumble upon this quaint bed and breakfast by accident. Admittedly, it is off the beaten path. It is about 8 to 10 minutes from Branson’s main strip. So if you like to be apart of the tourist action, this place probably is not for you. However, if you are like me and enjoy less crowds and more privacy this place will be your best bet! When you arrive, you are shown to your room by the concierge. The owner’s live directly across from the property so if you have any issues, they are only a few steps away. Each room has a theme. There are cabin suites and duplexes but both are private. We stayed in the train suite. It was awesome! It smelled awesome. It was very clean and had a jacuzzi bathtub. The king sized bed and flat screen were also pluses. CONS: The bathroom is definitely small and there is not a view of anything from the window, but the walking trail and serene landscapes make up for that. The parking is not very good at all. The owners had company over on our second night’s stay and we had to park by the office. That was not a big deal, but I felt like I was going to hit someone else’s car because of the tight space. I must mention the paddle boat… It is on the property, but it is a long… LONG walk. I guestimate about a mile and half maybe longer to get there. To me, it was not worth it. It was hot and humid and after paddling for a while, that long walk was pure torture. If you want to engage in that activity, go in the very early morning just after sunrise. We had the pleasure of having Bob as our chef for the morning. You go to the main dining hall where other couples gather and you eat together. You are served a full course breakfast and hot coffee. It was excellent! Overall, this is a great place to come and get quality R&R. Truthfully, I wish I could review Branson as a whole. I honestly was not impressed with it. I loved it as a young child, but maybe the whole fun factor has worn off for me. It did not help that we went during the Branson Classic Car Cruise, so this already busy place seemed ten times worse than normal. I would give it another shot in the future.

A great place to stay in Branson. The rooms are very nice with a wonderful cabin feel. Both the cabins and the beds were built by the owner and you can tell the craftsmanship. The mattress is a memory foam that I didn’t like since I just sunk into it and couldn’t move around. The jacuzzi was fun but the jets were not very strong. I would probably only rate the breakfasts as a 3 stars, but the lemon cake we had at the sweet shop was well over 5.
