99 Cents and Up

If I can give this store negative 5 stars maybe I would… I walked into the store and decided to buy a few items, the lady who’s always in a real bitchy mood decides to charge me a different price that was lifted. It was not a big deal it was only $ 2 more, but that’s not the point is the principle when I asked her for the money back she starts to get loud with me and start to say things in her language which is so not professional. I guess I would rather walk over to the next discount store which is a block and a half away that is so much more nicer and has a wide variety of things vs this one

Rego Park has many 99 cents/​discount stores. this one is clean and has a billion things somehow neatly arranged, so I often hit it up if I need something like a tablecloth, cleaning supplies, etc.
there’s a lot more of electronics, cleaning, and kitchen/​cooking stuff here as opposed to larger items. I notice some of the other discount stores around here (such as Randi’s) focus more on selling luggage, storage cabinets, and other (relatively) large items.
I’m fairly sure they have every type of glassware you could ever need to drink a beverage out of, too.
a lot of the name brand products sold here at cheap prices are re-​packaged Indonesian imports. so that means they are legit Dove soap, Colgate toothpaste, and so on, just with bilingual packaging. I told Julia B about this and she said her people take hygiene very seriously. true story.
