It’s hard for me to write a negative review for this dentist because she is a really nice little old lady and I feel bad for writing this. But everything else about her work and facility seems suspicious that I have to raise a warning flag. Let me first start off by explaining my situation. It’s extremely hard to find a reliable dentist in my neighborhood with my insurance plan. Every dentist my insurance mentioned had terrible reviews with many reviewers using capital letters to spell out: DONOTCOMEHEREEVENIFYOUHAVEANEMERGENCY. However, there was one facility which had no reviews and it was called Queens Smile Dental. My insurance did not mention the name Olga Zavulunova, only Queens Smile Dental so I was not able to do any prior research before setting up an appointment. My choices were to either visit a dentist whom have terrible reviews or visit a dentist whom have no reviews. So I decided to take the chance and visit the dentist with no reviews. When I went inside the office, I felt as if I was in someone’s home and that’s not a good sign. I suspect that it was originally a residential home and was turned into an office. So I kept reminding myself that just because this office doesn’t look professional doesn’t mean that the dentist is unprofessional. Then I was led into the waiting room. The waiting room had wooden walls and a very gloomy atmosphere. For a moment I thought I was in a basement that was soon to be a torture chamber. I’m exaggerating a bit, but I just have never seen a professional dental facility that ever looked like this. When I proceeded into the dental room, I noticed that there were hardly any equipment in the room. All the cabinets were empty. On the table, there was a pile of tissue material that dentists use to hang around the patient’s chest. When the dentist came in, I had a conversation with her(Note: her english was not perfect): Dentist: Did you have exam before? Me: Yes Dentist: You did X-ray? Cavities? Me: Yeah, I did an x ray, and had cavities at the time. But my previous dentist filled them in already. Dentist: Okay. So she proceeds to inspect my mouth. Dentist: No cavities, I only clean for you. I became skeptical because she did not even bother using the x-ray machine to check. To add onto that, she neither had nor used a suction tube to remove the water and saliva in my mouth. So every 8 seconds, she would tell me to spit and rinse in the sink. I want to give more than two stars because the receptionist and the dentist were very polite and did not rush me at all unlike other dentists I’ve been to. I don’t think I will be coming back here again.

I came to this Dentist last year for my 2 young kids. She was very kind and patient to both my 6 year old and 3 year old. The office is very clean and instruments and dental room looked sanitary which is of the utmost importance.

I came to this wicked witch doctor in 2007 for an emergency as my assigned dentist in Forest Hills were on vacation. She did the routine X-Rays only to discover there were no cavities and no real emergency despite of the discolor in my lower tooth. To my dismal, she was abrupt to usher me out of her office as she abrasively bitched and moaned for not being monetary compensated by the insurance company. Money, money… MONEY! Such a pity money is far more important than one’s health! How can one put a price tag on healthy teeth?
