I have to admit that small places like this are a personal favorite of mine. This place kinda became a «Date night» staple for me and my girlfriend during the summer. The burgers are amazing, the fries are great, and the service is always nice to us. They are a cash only business — so leave the debit card behind. Our favorite thing to do is to get a burger and fries from the boardwalk window and sit near the beach. Can’t beat the experience.

A boardwalk staple! They’ve been in business for over 50 years– my dad ate there when he was a kid back in the 60s. really good fries and a fantastic fried egg sandwich. It’s a cash only place but the food is fast and cheap. The bathrooms leave much to be desired, but that’s the only downside.

Great place to pick up greasy«vintage oil» fries and, perhaps, salmonella. Why anybody would eat in this filthy, unfriendly place twice is completely beyond my comprehension.

Cheap eats. Food are great! Cash only. I love momma & pops place. I still see the original owner there working.

Forget the chain that is Thrashers. This is the place for authentic mom-and-pop boardwalk fries. Also, cheesesteaks. I’ve been going to Rehoboth Beach since the early 1970s, and the trip always includes a steak-and-cheese sub and fries from Gus & Gus.

Best«boardwalk food» around. If ya worried about germs well make ur food at home with gloves and masks. Here we use our hands and cook on high heat any germs will be killed on grill. Best food, very quick, always fresh. Been eating gus for decades always solid.

Went in with the family, tried the Gyro Platter and the Cheese Steak. I would not recommend either of those dishes or this place. I felt the food lacked taste of any type.

It was alright. I had the cheeseburger which was insipid, along the lines of quality as McDonald’s. Fries were decent and you get large portions, small was enough for four of us. My wife says hotdog was good and cousin says best darn hotdog ever.

My wife and I stopped in to Gus and Gus on a whim. The service was prompt and friendly. Our food was out quick. We decided to sit inside but were told, in a friendly way, that you can only sit at the tables if a server is waiting on you. This is understandable and no big deal. We sat at the counter instead, this was a mistake. My wife has spent some time in the food service industry and she was disgusted with what she saw. Raw meat sitting out on the counters uncovered. Servers handling food with no gloves and wiping their hands off on their clothes or on dirty dish rags and no hand washing in between. And an older gentleman(Gus?) taking swigs out of a bottle of vodka under the counter. The food was good, but after that I wouldn’t risk eating there again.

The most delicious fried chicken in Rehoboth. Great place on the boardwalk to stop for fries and a soda. The sandwiches are messy but delicious. They only take cash so be prepared.

This is a good place on the boardwalk for grill type items. They have a nice variety and the food is good. They are located in a great spot to get a quick lunch and get back to the beach. You can get food at the window on the boardwalk and they also offer tables in the back. We were there a couple times, first at the window and later with table service. The waitress was friendly and the food arrived fairly promptly. We will be back to Gus and Gus on a future trip.

We have been here numerous times and it is always a pleasure to return. You can see them cooking as you order and everything I’ve seen looks so good. The fries are wonderful and cut when you order. The Greek salad is fantastic also. Their chicken is good and so are there breakfasts. Truly a Rehoboth beach landmark. Did I mention the birch beer?

Absolutely delicious fried chicken. If you like fried chicken, this is the place for you. Has indoor seating. Nice to be able to sit out of the sun for awhile!

The mecca of all burgers to ever live on the shore. I mean it. The MECCA. Ever see this place at noon? Rain or shine, you will see hopelessly devotees waiting to see the magic happen; I myself included. My significant other was only slightly alarmed when I returned with our delightful burgers just under an hour later; don’t give up your place in line, unless it’s for money. The simplicity of the burgers that Gus & Gus makes, and the grill that is caked with burger cooking residue is what makes this place so damn delicious. Yes, they do clean it, but the juices and the seasoning are embedded; you can see it. They take their time too, which makes it worth the wait when you get to have that first bite. Caramelized onions, pickle, mustard, toasted bun = our burgers What a simple and amazing combo! You can get whatever you want on them, but after several trials, this was our winning combo. It’s great to go for lunch or dinner — definitely have to try this while you’re visiting. Don’t want to bake in the sun and eat your burger? Do go inside and order from their wait staff! You can’t order from the take-out line and then sit inside; you need to order with the wait staff from the start to score a bench.

This place serves great«beach comfort food». I had a taste for fried clams and I remembered seeing them on the menu at this place during my last visit. I got a small order before I walked the very short distance to the beach. By the time I got my beach mat down and got settled, they were gone! Crispy, deep fried tender morsels of deliciousness. The boyfriend and I would end up with two more orders before we left that day(and seriously considered one more order to go!).

What? How a chain fry place is surviving next door with this place making french fries is beyond me. They are a Rehoboth staple and any local would know that they beat that OC chain any day and everyday…

As far as crawling just far enough off of the beach to feed your face this works well. It is in no way cuisine and I’m sorry to say an insult to the gyro. What I discovered about Rehoboth Beach, DE is that a large number of good quality restaurants are a literal 5 minute walk from the beach on several streets in several directions. For example, on our second day in town for lunch we went just less than a block past this establishment and had a sit down meal for just about the same price. But if you’re intent on crawling right back to your beach blanket and the waves this will work. The fries are fresh cut, but have to be with a Thrashers on every corner. I would argue that those, at least, were on par with their competition. I will maintain, however, that this is junk beach food, and knowing what I know now I won’t bother going forward. The staff was nice enough and the food came out quickly, albeit greasy as all hell. It has the feel of a place that’s been in business since the inception of the boardwalk, so maybe it’s a staple up there, but who’s to say. Quick meal, gyro and small fry, $ 12.

SLOWESTLINEEVER! If there’s more than 1 person on line, do NOT wait… There was only a few people in front of us & we waited 30 minutes! They’re very disorganized & slow! Food was fine, but definitely NOTWORTHTHEWAIT!

This is a very tiny little boardwalk fast food joint that is CASHONLY. The place is a total relic from the inside out, a real greasy spoon, where you practically order and pay right over the hot griddle. If that’s not a greasy spoon I don’t know what is. The items are made simply and are a good reminder of old greasy fast food homely character. Cheeseburgers, are griddled, and small, with minimal toppings. They come off fresh and served well. However, this place has one thing going for it that is very unexpected. You can get fantastic fried chicken here. Buckets, piece meals, you can even order just a piece of chicken, AND a certain part(s) if you want also, and it’s a good solid crispy crackling bird, perfect for beach food in the sand. Speaking of relics, check out that cash register, yup… they USE that thing! I am talking dime store ancient here. This is a real special place worth a simple stop, but more so for the bird, awesome fried chicken make sure you get some.
