My advice to you as the shopper is to stay far away from this place in the morning unless you fancy having your head bitten off! My girlfriend and I browsed by as they were opening in the morning and did not yet have their clothing racks out on the street. It was getting hot and my friend wanted to check out their racks to see if they had tank tops. We were told(not so politely) just to wait for her to put them out, and when my friend asked if she had any tank tops she responded very bluntly, «This is a gay bookstore hun». We were floored, to say the least. We just wanted to check out her items and were basically turned away in not so many words. Guess my girlfriend and I were simply not dyke enough for her!!! Lol. We did not even get the chance to set foot in the door, so I can’t speak for their book selection OR rainbow themed tank tops. Will not return! Rather give my money to a business owner who chooses not to judge who walks through the door :)

This place is GREAT! I bought rings, cards, books, etc. I was amazed at the variety of the inventory. I will visit everytime I return to Rehoboth. One of the best shops in Rehoboth

This was my first visit to Proud Book Store. What a great store! They have a large selection of books, CDs DVDs, greeting cards, jewelry and the only place in Rehoboth that carried LGBT rainbow pride clothing, and memorabilia. The store was beautifully set up and the staff was friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back next year. (Address has changed to: 149 Rehoboth Ave Suite 7, Rehoboth Beach, DE19971)

This cute little shop is meant for Rehoboth Beach’s gay and lesbian visitors. The shop has a friendly staff that is happy to answer questions about the area. The store sells GLBT books, DVDs, glassware, knickknacks, greeting cards, t-shirts, Christmas ornaments, magnets, magazines, and original artworks by local gay artists. All GLBT visitors, as well as their friends and supporters, should browse this store and see their wonderful selection of products. We were very happy that we did and found some very unique items, including a full selection of December Diamonds mermen ornaments.
