I don’t even know where to start. After wandering around the store a bit, I was greeted and offered a fitting, and I gladly accepted. A friend had recently said she found a few great bras at this store. They measured me at a band size 2 sizes too big, and a cup size 2 too small. But, I figured I would give it a shot… maybe I’ve been measured wrong in the past… they’re professionals, right? I will admit that I voiced my skepticism, and the lady was not friendly about it. Tried on the bra size suggested, and as I figured, it was too big around the band, and too small in the cup. The lady was acting like I offended her greatly when I told her the size suggested did not fit. Tried to find something not old-ladyish, not Madonna-ish, and not a push-up in my normal size, but nothing fit right, and everything was super uncomfortable. I will not be back here.

I’d never noticed this shop before, but I was at the outlets this morning killing time til the lingerie shop on Rehoboth Ave opened, and happened to pass it on my way from one Anne Taylor to the other, so I figured I’d drop in. They didn’t have my size, which was not unexpected, but they seemed to think they had a size that would be close enough to work, so I agreed to try it on. As soon as I walked into the fitting room, they two women staffing the store launched into a half whispered conversation about how so and so had a friend that wore a blah blah blah size and you’d never guess. Ladies, if you were skeptical about my size, you could have offered me a fitting! Sure enough, it didn’t fit. When I walked out, they asked how it worked, and I reported that it didn’t come anywhere near to fitting. «Oh, too big?» «No, way too small.» «Oh, in the band?» «No, in the cup.» Consternation and awkward silence. Possibly they were debating whether to ask me to prove it? I don’t know. It was weird. On the positive side, the store was clean and well lit, and they did have a vast selection in more standard sizes. And they open an hour before the shop on Rehoboth Ave.
