Husband and I visited Sunshine Octopus a few days ago, and the staff were incredibly patient and kind with us as we spent at least 30 minutes trying on various tie-​dye options, even when Husband got confused and forgot which tie-​dye he’d tried on already… They were really helpful, and we walked out with a new party wardrobe for the foreseeable future!
The more I visit other shops in the area, the more I appreciate what a unique place Sunshine Octopus is. Definitely a 5-​star experience, and an oasis in a desert of pastel beach dresses and aggressive t-​shirts.

Very cool story that’s been a staple of the DE beaches for many years. The main reason I’m writing this review is because Sunshine Octopus is the first store we’ve EVER seen carrying Sure Design shirts and dresses. Sure Design is an awesome company and a sponsor of the Duncan Trussell Family Hour. I gave the employees at Sunshine Octopus one of my DTFH stickers, so I hope the owner will be OK with displaying it in the store. I also gave them the URL of the DTFH podcast (
), so I hope they will give it a listen, as I know it would be right up their alley.
