I happened to be driving through Reidsville when I saw this ‘little home the wall’ butcher shop. My main reason for checking it out was to find the ‘country’ kind of bacon. There was the thicker cut under glass and the market-style in bundles in the side case. The price was $ 3.99/lb and just ½ lb to try it out. Why just half a pound? Because I have had my feelings hurt getting a full pound of ‘tasteless cardboard’ and being pissed off! This way, the commitment isn’t so great. I got it home and made a test sandwich, and I just smiled and wiggled my toes as I munched. Richard, you did well. The bacon cooked up very nice, with a good smoked aroma. Not overly salty, which is good and the taste leaves you wanting more. I will be back for more and some other meats as well. Everyone was friendly and the young lady behind the counter, had THEBEST personality that I’ve seen in a long time-she may not know it, but she’s inspired me to be friendlier and happier in my life.
