McDonald’s

This place is near a gas station. That is the only good point. It is disgusting in here. The bathroom smelled like a barn. They said the ketchup has not been working since yesterday. The manager was super unfriendly. She told a truck driver in front of us that he couldn’t fill his water jug. He ordered food, but that was not allowed. He got a refund and went to KFC. Avoid at all cost

Avoid. Horrible dirty bathrooms, indifferent staff. It’s right at the Remington exit off of I-​65

I’m giving 2 stars because the fries were fresh. Everything else was not. The bathrooms were dirty, the garbage was overflowing, the wait for food was 10 minutes (and we didn’t order anything special… chicken nuggets, French fries & double cheeseburgers and the staff was rude. They also charge you for extra sauce and you have to ask for napkins. Next time we drive through Remington we’ll be stopping at the KFC instead!

Just had me some mc-​D breakfast it was very fresh good and hot. steak egg bagel. this is one of the best ones with big truck parking staff was very good and fast thank you

It’s McDonald’s and it’s bad for me. This McDonald’s gets a 1 star rating because they have blue print drawings from Lew Wallace High School in Gary, IN on the bathroom wall of the men’s room. That is literally it’s only redeeming value. The blue prints are cool, but the bathroom smelled like an outhouse.
The floors in this restaurant are dirty, no make that filthy! They need swept and mopped.
The manager is a slug, or is at the very least as slow as one. It took a few minutes for someone to even take out order and then that order sat behind the counter waiting for the fish filet sandwich.
Avoid this place at all cost. Go to the KFC down the road, starve, it just eat the lint ball from your belly button. Any of those choices would be better than this disgusting place.

EXTRA big lot for TRUCK, BUSES & «???» !! Dining AREA is quite large, & the place was reasonably clean. Since the rest room I used was AWFUL, I couldn’t eat here. I took my food to my vehicle. I mean, «come on»!!! The odor was that of an old outhouse !!! HELLO, owner & management, It takes more than a «kid, spray & a paper towel» to clean.

I walked in with my 5 yr old and went to the restroom and all he could say is «this is disgusting and smells like a dirty diaper!»
We then order our food and they put 3 napkins with our order. If you want more, you have to ask. I’m with small kids, yes I’m going to need more then 3. Are they so cheap that they are concerned having them out for guests?!?

Ok — I don’t typically review McDonald’s, but I couldn’t believe this one! The food was prepared quickly and the staff was nice, but the best part were the bathrooms! They had real décor like a home or nicer spot. The bathroom had paintings and was well kept.
Everything was very clean and well decorated and while it was a general McDonald’s in terms of food, the sprucing up of the space really made it stand a bit above a typical McDonald’s.

This McDonald’s isn’t too bad. It has been remodeled so it looks pretty nice inside and out. Food is typical McDonald’s. It’s fast food so nothing amazing, but the beauty of multi-​national corporate restaurants is consistency. Your burger should taste the same whether you got in Remington, Indiana, or Remington, Virginia.
If you’re driving a motorhome or an 18-​wheeler (or just pulling a trailer) there is a nice parking area just for you.

As others have posted, it’s usually not a good use of my time to write a review about a fast food joint like McDonalds. Most I have been to have been relatively clean, but honestly the food is processed crap. We go there for convenience.
My husband and I visited this McD’s on our way north from Indianapolis. The positive is that there is place to park if you’re pulling a trailer, boat, etc. That’s where the good review ends.
The unenthused teen behind the counter took our order. Nothing special, just a BLT ranch chicken sandwich meal and some chicken nuggets. We waited 10 minutes for our food. Is that still considered ‘fast food’?
I take a bite out of my sandwich and it’s jiggling. I’m like ‘what in the hell is this? Gross is what it is. So I take my sandwich up to the counter to the same unenthused teen and I tell him this sandwich is disgusting and I would like my money back. He starts yelling for the manager… KIM, KIM, KIM. Finally, Kim comes over and says, what’s the problem? I tell her that my sandwich is disgusting and I’d like my money back as I wiggle the gross jiggling thing on my chicken. She says, oh, that’s just some fat. I tell her that it’s gross and unappetizing and I would like my money back. She proceeds to give me a refund. Not one… I’m sorry about that; can I get you something else; go screw yourself… nothing.
The bathrooms were dirty, the drink area was all slopped over with pop, the floor was filthy and sticky. The list goes on. In retrospect, I’m not sure why we even stayed. Should have taken the bathrooms as a sign to just leave and drive another 10 or so miles to the McD’s in Rensselaer. We’ve visited that one in the past and it’s been pretty decent.

McDonalds never gets five stars from me (I feel incredibly guilty every time I walk into one of these fast «food» places), but this building itself wasn’t bad for a little Indiana stop. Therefore, I’m rewarding it three out of four stars on my mental fast food rating scale.
Nicely decorated (they had… curtains!), friendly and smiley employees (a good thing early in the morning), quick service, and very clean bathrooms. My husband even had a pleasant conversation with the cleaner while he was in the bathroom!
«How you doing today, sir?» (The cleaner.)
«Very well. How are you?» (My husband.)
«Good!»
“It’s nice out, but a bit too cold.”
«Hey. Could be worse. You could be in Florida.»
«That’s actually where we’re going,» my husband said with a chuckle.
Cue awkward pause.
«Oh, man! It’s all hot and muggy down there!»
«Yeah. Oh, man!»
The conversation ended on a cheerful note.
It’s the little things that make our day.
The «food» was the usual processed stuff. It is what it is.

I’m not one to review a fast food joint… lets be real, they are typically spotty on the cleanliness scale and they all serve disgusting greasy food that you just deal with when on a road trip. But this McDonalds was a particularly annoying and frustrating experience.
Me: Can I get a quarter pounder with only one slice of cheese?
Disgruntled Teen: It only has one slice

Me: Can I have a utensil?
Disgruntled Teen: Here is a cup
Me: I’m looking for more of a fork or a knife… things that scrape off cheese
Disgruntled Teen: Do you still want the cup?
I guess we aren’t at Burger King where you can «have it your way.» Ordinarily even a small fast food joint would offer to make the sandwich the way you wanted it. Disgustingly annoying.
Also they won’t give you your cups until your order is ready. So I wait 7 minutes while I could at least pour drinks and, instead, waste time.
Yes, there were also fruit flies. DRIVE PAST THIS EXIT.

This McDonalds has upscale décor, but it has been neglected and is fly infested, the bathrooms are dirty, and the advertised free video games are out of order. Both sweet and unsweet Ice tea were out during peak dinner hours, and despite about four customers in a row telling them this, they did not refill them. McDonals, your quality control is lacking.
