American Arborists

We had American Arborists out to trim the trees and clear some defensible space around our home. The job wasn’t small, but they completed it professionally and for a fair price. We would recommend anyone who needs a tree service to consider using them.

Very professional, willing and helpful. Completed the work on time and cleaned up everything after they finished. A nice group of guys we highly recommend them.

The best Arborists in all the area. Second time they have worked on my 60+ yr old trees. Everything done as they said in their proposal. showed up at the exact time, completed their work on the trees, and left the ground around the area, same as before they arrived.

Called AATS after the last big storm. I had lost several branches on multiple trees and was concerned about one falling over. Josh scheduled me for the following week and came by when scheduled. We discussed my issues and he made some suggestions. He was very knowledgeable and didn’t try to upsell me on anything. He was up front about the work that would be done and said he would e-​mail me an estimate after he got back to the office. I received the estimate later that day and it was lower than I had expected. He let me know that due to the volume of calls it would be about 4 weeks before he could get to me. I had no problem with that and scheduled the work.
The work was done exactly as promised and in the time-​frame estimated. These guys do a great job and I will use them again in the future.

Had a big storm in Reno recently, and there was some damage on a couple of my large trees — one of which I was hoping could be saved. Called this service, and they indicated they were really swamped but would call me back and let me know if or when they could come. Felt like I was using an answering service when I called, so I wondered if this was a local company (?). 24 hours later, no call back, and I make another call. I tell the woman I need to know if someone is going to be able to come. Her response? «They are very busy and if they didn’t call you back, then its because they don’t have the time». My response? «I’ll find someone else.» Customer service at its ultimate worst with a tinge of arrogance or being too big to give a crap. They could be the best damn tree people in my area, but if they can’t provide the decent courtesy of letting me know they won’t be able to do the service by simply making a phone call back, I wouldn’t use them even if their service was free. Ever.
Called Greater Nevada Tree Service, who was swamped as well, and surprisingly they answered the call, and the young man indicated he would try to come that later noon. He showed up 4 hours later at my house — not prepared to work, since they were so behind, but at least to give me an idea of what I had on my hands, and what he recommended going forward.
Now THAT is customer service at it’s best. And guess what? The information he gave me was free. Now that is PRICELESS customer service. And apparently, it’s reflected in their online ratings.

American Arborists Tree Service is fantastic! I worked with Sky Edge, who is very knowledgeable. They are prompt in scheduling both their estimates and service, very fair with their fees and they KNOW TREES! All of my trees are younger due to new construction, but after 3 – 4 years I wanted to ensure they were healthy and growing as I would prefer. Don’t hesitate to call this team as they are great! And tree maintenance costs a lot less than tree replacement!

Love these guys! I’ve been using American Arborists for several years and I highly recommend them. In my opinion, they are the finest Reno tree service in town. I’ve got dozens of trees on my property and they’ve done a fantastic job of maintaining them. They are Certified Arborists which is important. Their knowledge and commitment to customer service is unsurpassed.

I have lived in Reno all my life and in this house for 26 years. Over the years I have used many different tree trimmers and American Arborists is by far the best. They are on time, look very professional and are easily identifiable, their work is excellent and they clean up after themselves so well that yard looks better when they leave than when they arrived. And I spent significantly less than with any other company. This last visit they accidentally cut my drip system line while stumping one of the trees, came and told me about it immediately and said someone would be out within a day or so to repair it. There was someone here within an hour to do the repair. I highly recommend this company.

Saw a neighbor having their trees trimmed and called the person on the flyer (they came over and warned me they were going to be making some noise next door). Had a call back in about 20 min. and rec’d a quote shortly after that. Decided to have our trees trimmed and they had time that day! I trees look great! And what a great clean-​up job! Would call them again in a heartbeat! And reasonably priced too!
