The Belvedere has been an excellent rental experience hands down. Coming in from a larger city, I was blown away by value for such incredible views of the Sierras, modern amenities, and a central downtown location! The owner, on-site property management, and security personally have always been both friendly and capable of meeting resident needs. I really couldn’t ask for more in a rental situation and would certainly come back to the Belvedere whenever in Reno.

They recently required all tenants to pay an additional fee for a new garage door installation that we did not authorize or we wouldn’t be able to park in the garage. This was not included in the lease and tenants already had to pay an additional fee for the previous garage door openers. Also, they aren’t liable for anything that happens to your car in the parking garage.

I would not recommend the Belvedere to anyone, I have never written a review about a complex, however I felt inclined to do so after my treatment here. The staff was very rude in particular Annita the manager and they violated their lease agreement. For the past 3 months there has been construction everyday from 7am– 5pm, they drilled so hard they caused a leak in my ceiling and denied that it was because of construction, the noise is unbearably loud and they refuse to give me a break on my rent, and threatened my credit when I asked to be let out of the lease early. I had an attorney call and they finally cooperated especially when they found out I had been documenting everything via video. The only thing I gained from the Belvedere was knowledge of how I never want to be treated as a tenant.

I came to a friends pre-party for the Santa Pub Crawl a few weeks ago… it was my first time in the Belvedere Towers. My first impressions were positive and I was impressed with the improvements they made to what was once a dated hotel tower. If I was looking to rent or lease and I worked downtown or at the University, this would be a great option. Prices are reasonable, it has a secured entry and it’s within walking distance of everything. I get the sense that this place is only going to get better as Reno’s economy slowly crawls out of the recession.
