Endless Ink

My very first tattoo. I waited a long time in life to do this and researched tattoo artists. I came across Nes at Endless Ink. I’ve heard all good things. I live 500 miles away from Reno so while visiting my family there I booked my appointment. The shop is clean and you can tell Nes takes pride in every detail of the shop. So here it am, 1 month later and just finished getting my ink. Nes is a true professional and did exactly what I wanted. He is very kind and easy going. I love my tattoo. It means so much to me. I’m so happy I came 500 miles to have this done here. Totally worth it.

Background story, I went in on Pi day and wanted to get a Pi tattoo. Like the clueless person that I am, I didn’t realize how popular Nes is and how you have to book waaay in advance. The guy in the counter found the earliest availability Nes has and I left a $ 40 deposit. I couldn’t get a clear estimate cause Nes wasn’t there so I asked around how much cash to bring when I came back. All I’m gonna say is the total is quite reasonable.
I came in with a print copy of what I wanted and Nes transferred the outline on where I wanted it. I guess I lucked out because it was the right size and he didn’t have to tinker with it. Kinda wishing now that I asked him to add his own touch but I know I’d be back for more anyway. It wasn’t as painful as I expected and now that I think back, I don’t know what I got all anxious about.

My praise for the guys at this shop goes beyond words. From the first day I walked in with my friend to get her memorial tattoo the guys have treated me like family. I’ve been inked by Siva, Able, Freddy, and I have one in the works with Nes. These guys are phenomenal. I love going in, even just to visit. My most recent piece is a very emotional tribute to a very close, long-​time friend who was killed in an accident last month. I went in to speak with Freddy who was so sensitive and sympathetic to my request and he did such an amazing job. I’m always open to seeing different shops and artists but Endless will forever be my immediate go-​to for my future tattoos.

To give this 5 stars seems to low.
Tattoos are not to be entered into lightly. Tattoos are serious. They are quite serious to me.
This is not my first tattoo, but it is my first tattoo here in Reno. The relationship and trust you build in an artist is a tricky one. You entrust them with something important, precious, to you. I have had the rest of my work done by one artist but that artist is now in New York. As I can’t run off to NY every time my heart tugs me to a tattoo, I wanted to develop trust in someone locally.
Nes came quite highly recommended from a coworker who has black and grey tattoos also. I am not a person who seeks a colorful tattoo. I want clean lines and black and grey.
This tattoo was important as it is a memorial piece. I sought Nes out and dropped by the shop on a random saturday afternoon. He and I spoke briefly, I explained my idea and he agreed. I booked an appt for a little over 1 month later. A few days previous to the appointment I dropped the bow tie off (the real one) that the tattoo would be based on.
The day I arrived I was quite anxious. The emotional weight of the tattoo and the concern over the trust in an artist I haven’t used before both raging inside me.
Nes immediately set me at ease. He smiled. Welcomed me over to his section. Asked me a few questions and then set to work sketching it out. He laid the stencil and I was overjoyed. He asked me the story behind the tattoo and I explained as I fought back the tears.
He set the needle to my skin and we both never looked back. He worked meticulously for 2 hours on a piece that is about 5/​6″ x 3″. His touch is light handed and made the tattoo experience easy. The pain was quite minimal and the conversation excellent.
At the end I stood up, took a look in the mirror and cried. I glanced back to see tears streaming from my wives face as well.
The lines are clean and perfect. The shading is gorgeous.
Overall, thanks go to Nes for his impeccable talent and care. He knew what this meant to me and he made every detail perfect.
I will return to Nes and I will trust him with the things that matter most to me.

Best tattoo spot in town. will not hesitate to go back for all the rest of my tattoos I want to get! Highly recommend this spot, very down to earth and friendly folks there.
