Tourine and Trevor shot an engagement session and wedding for my husband and I. We chose them because of their ability to capture candid moments in the portfolios we were shown. The engagement photos have great depth and creativity, and we cannot wait to see what the wedding photos have in store. They were with us for 8 hours that day, and were pleasant and helpful from start to finish. The sneak-​peeks they gave us during the wedding were artistic and beautiful. Prior to the wedding, we met several times in their MidTown studio to prepare and create a timeline for the day, which they were very helpful with. Definitely one of the best in Reno and we look forward to working with them in the future.

Local mag was doing a small expose on our family, including our dogs, who are clearly family members. Photographer and her associate were very congenial and professional. Great experience, but, we didn’t really give it much thought until we saw the results. All we could say was «Wow»! Reviewing the images at their downtown studio was a very pleasant, very professional experience. We were so impressed that we ordered some holiday cards, for next year and some pic copies for family. This was not something we intended to do and were not «sold»; we are very resistant to that and make car dealers cry when shopping for a new vehicle. :) I would recommend this studio to anyone looking for professional work of a business or personal nature. I can’t imagine you could find a better quality photography group. Save yourself some time and see these people.

We used Johnstone Studios to shoot our wedding in Squaw Valley. I am so happy with them and with how our pictures turned out. Tourine and Trevor are extremely friendly and professional. They took the time to look at all of the shots I wanted from a pinterest board I had made and to make sure those were taken. My husband and I are definitely awkward photo posers, but Tourine and Trevor made us feel comfortable and managed to make us look good. They also blended in really well during the ceremony and reception, so that they were not at all distracting during our events. They did a great job with the photo editing, and the results were fantastic.
I would DEFINITELY recommend Johnstone studios for any wedding in the Tahoe/​Reno area. Thanks Tourine and Trevor! Your guys are the best!

I love these people! Johnstone studios has been a huge icon in my life. As a fellow photographer I’m very picky about my needs and quality of work. I couldn’t think of anyone else suited to photograph my wedding. Trevor and Tourine exceeded everything I had even imagined, they went above and beyond. .. and then some!!! My guests raved about their friendly manner, their attention to detail, and the amazing photographs of our day! It was documented extremely well!!! I seriously can not say enough about these two, if you want the goods and you want it done right go see these two.

We had a wonderful photo sitting with a great photographer! Photos turned out great… We got them on metal and they are stunning. DVD of the sitting accompanied with music was a nice touch as well. We will be back for our family portrait!

Absolutely LOVED our session and our photos. They were able to get some great shots with our dog (which I am sure is the the easiest thing to get on film). Thank you everyone for you care and attention. Your love for what you do reflects in your work. Now we have the difficult task of narrowing down what we want!

My husband and I absolutely love Johnstone Studios! They have been capturing our little man’s first year in photos and they have gotten absolutely amazing shots! We have both been blown away by the patience and care that Tourine has when dealing with your little one! The images that she has been able to capture are unreal. Literally, every detail and change as my child grows up is caught in the pictures.
They may be more expensive than some photographers but they are worth EVERY penny! They are friendly, caring people and very experienced in what they are doing. I also very much appreciate good customer service and I get great service here!
We will continue to do business with Johnstone for all of our photos from here on out! They are fabulous!

We did the baby program, but I don’t know if it is available anymore. We paid one price for four different sittings (one newborn, one at four months, one at eight months, and one at one year). This was the best program because we have beautiful pictures of our son at every important stage during the first year. It is amazing how much he has changed and we have pictures to show these changes. Tourine is very good with little kids. Even if you have a child that won’t sit still, she seems to get great pictures. I don’t know how she does it.
Everyone at this studio is very friendly. I would recommend Johnstone Studios to anyone.

I can’t say enough good things Johnstone Studios and the pictures they took for me. I wanted to do a boudoir photo shoot for my honey for our anniversary, and spent hours combing the internet for a studio that offered the kind of photographs that I was looking for. It’s so easy these kinds of photographs to veer into the cheesy and/​or trashy arena, but the photographs Tourine took are classic and beautiful. She made me look stunning!
A huge part of that is due to Tourine’s ability to make you feel completely comfortable throughout the shoot. She showed me pics on her camera in between set-​ups, which allowed me to see how good her lighting and composition made me look, and thus boosted confidence.
I was also thrilled with the picture selection/​ordering process. You sit in a lovely room and watch a slide-​show of the photos she’s chosen for you. I had a hard time narrowing it down to only 20 pictures for the book I chose to have made, which was very professionally done. They were even able to rush the order for me a bit to accommodate my anniversary date.
My guy absolutely loves the photographs… and so do I! I may even come back to get a canvas printed for my dressing room.
Bottom line, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this studio to anyone who is considering doing a boudoir photo shoot.

I love Johnstone Studios! My brother first found them through Groupon, then recommended them for my wedding photographers. I couldn’t have been happier with them. We debated on doing engagement photos in addition to the wedding, but are glad we did because we got very comfortable working with Trevor and Tourine. They have such a creative eye that makes you look your best in the photos. Our wedding day they were everywhere I looked snapping pictures. The few they showed us while doing our wedding shots were incredible. One of my bridesmaids from Texas even asked if they would travel to Texas to do her wedding because the pictures were just that good. What a pleasure it has been to work with them. They know what they are doing and I can’t wait to see all our wedding photos! I would HIGHLY recommend Johnstone Studios.

First time ever having professional portraits taken with the family. Tourine is simply the best and made the boys feel so at ease. The weather was less than cooperative but somehow, Tourine managed to still capture the essence of each of us and bring that out in our amazing photos. Having trouble deciding which ones to choose! I ‘found’ Johnstone Studios via a Groupon offer & at first thought «well, I’ve gotten a good deal via Groupon but who knows how good these guys will be».
Photoshoot is done & yesterday I had a viewing of my photos & I cannot emphasize HOW incredibly pleased I am with the photos! I cannot stop thinking about them & how beautiful they are– I’m on pins & needles waiting to get the prints back that we ordered.
I, personally, love photography & spend a lot of time taking pictures. I had initially wondered if I should/​should not have a professional session done since I take a lot of photos myself, but Tourine’s work made me SO happy I did! She captured the perfect moment, perfect smiles– & even if, for example, my two year-​old son wasn’t totally cooperating with her efforts the final images don’t give any hint of this.
I know the pictures Tourine/​Johnstone took will be ones I’ll cherish for a lifetime & will adorn our walls always.
Also, the way in which Johnstone has clients «view» their photos is awesome too. Complete with music, a comfortable viewing area and dedicated time that is spent exclusively with the client.

The best photographers in Reno!!! We have done 2 family photo shoots with Johnstone Photography and they were both amazing. So professional and the best quality photography around. I have people in my house always asking who did my photos and have referred many with complete satisfaction. My work refers Johnstone Photography for all of our brides as well. Wedding done (yay for being married!) and pictures AWESOME!!! I constantly am told that my wedding pictures are the most beautiful and creative people have ever seen! (and I know it’s not just that our wedding was beautiful:) even though it was!) I would HIGHLY recommend Tourine and Trevor for photography of weddings, but also anything else!
