i had a veneer put on my front tooth today and by the end of the day it already fell off. I was told it would be «permanent.» This is the final straw for me at this dentist after he fixes my tooth. I feel rushed and he does not do as thorough a job as previous dentists I have had. I am very disappointed.

Dr. Joseph J Eberle has been my dentist for about 15 years and I’m satisfied with his service. I usually don’t have to have my teeth worked on by him directly — maybe it’s because I brush and floss twice daily, I don’t know. Every 6 months I visit his office and his hygienist, Kim is always there to clean my teeth and tell me about her travels around the world. There is usually a new intern helping Kim and they are always well behaved, but definitely new to the trade. They are flexible with insurance carriers — mine has changed about 4 times in the last 5 years and his office accepted all of the carriers.

Let me start off by saying that I’m not one of those people who loves going to the dentist.(Yes, they do exist, and I don’t get it!). However, after a misguided year of going to Absolute Dental(I’ll save you all my review of those crooks as they already have a 2 star rating), I switched to Dr. Eberle about 4 years ago, and I have been very pleased. First, they are so efficient. They all wear headsets to communicate with each other to make sure that whoever is supposed to see you next is on their way. I check in at the desk, where I’m always greeted by name, she radios to someone to come get me. My x-rays are taken, then the hygenist is radioed that it’s her turn, and once she’s done, she radios the dentist to take a final look. I’ve shown up early, and they take me early. Once I had the first appointment after their lunch hour and I showed up about 30 minutes early(just the way my schedule worked out). I anticipated playing on my iPhone for 30 minutes, but the hygenist was there and offered to go ahead and take me then! Once, I went in for a filling and I swear I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. This is a huge bonus for super-busy people like myself. Dental emergency? They will get you in! Had to schedule out farther than you wanted? If someone cancels, they’ll call you and offer you that appointment time. Love it! As for the wallet — I always know how much I will be spending. The receptionist Lilly always has a print-out of what Dr. Eberle is recommending and the cost after insurance. I have never paid more than the estimate, and in fact one time I came out after a filling and was told that one step was not needed and therefore my bill was less than my quote. So if you’re looking for a dentist, I would definitely recommend Dr. Eberle and his crew.

I hate going to the dentist, but I always have a good experience at Dr. Eberle’s office. His staff is friendly, I have great talks with the hygienist who always lets me know about the best fashion finds in Reno, and the wait is always minimal. Yesterday I had a dental emergency after biting on a piece of metal that was in my turkey burger at 775 Gastropub and called Dr. Eberle’s office immediately. He was working in his Sun Valley location for the day, but took a special trip back to his Reno office and fit me in that day. I appreciate their service and making trips to the dentist tolerable.

The Dr has no personality. He did a ton of work on my mouth and then I had weeks of pain. I went back in after calling to see if he could help and he blew me off and sent me on my way. Wouldn’t give me any pain meds, wouldn’t do xrays-nothing. I ended up having an infected tooth and my face swelled up into my eye. I ended up in the E.R. and got IV meds and then after 3 more rounds of antibiotics, a physician’s visit and seeing a new dentist, I had to have a root canal on one of the teeth Eberle«fixed».
