Love this shop, it is bright, colorful & cheerful. They always offer samples & the candy is very good. Large assortment including gift items/baskets make it easy to make your selections. The people who work there are friendly, professional & helpful.

I’ve never taken the tour but I gift shop is a dangerous place to pop into. Kimmie Candy Company did not just fill my sweet tooth but they helped with my #holiday #gifting. I’m always on the hunt for local products to send to my clients across the USA. I worked with Sonia Griffin, Retail/Wholesale Manager who was very kind with my inability to make a decision on what to order. I finally selected a Nevada shaped box filled with Salted Carmel ChocoRock(my personal fav). The order was placed and October 12 was my scheduled pick up date. On October 9, Sonia reached out to say the order was ready. Unfortunately, I was no avail for pick up. When I finally made it there, my order was waiting. I added few more treats and was out of there in 15 minutes. They also offer«#gift #bag» size options which I hope to use at my next #RNO #Event. #keepgiftslocal

Who can take a sunrise, Sprinkle it in dew, Cover it in chocolate and a miracle or two? The Candy Man of course! And we’re not talking about the wacky Wonka here. We’re talking about the team behind international sensations like Sunbursts, Chocorocks, and Kimmie Corn! The Biggest Little Candy Factory in the World… Reno’s very own, Kimmie Candy! Want to know where chocolate comes from? Joe Dutra and the team here should know! They have a tank that can hold about 40,000 gallons of the liquid form right on site. They use that chocolate to produce all of their products in a factory that seems pretty darn small for the kind of volume they crank out! Granted that’s in the form of tiny little chocolate covered gems like sunflower seeds, corn nuggets, almonds, pistachios and the infamous chocorocks! But to get the full story on chocolate, and the factory, arrange a tour for you, your friends, or your family! They’ll take you through a quick video about where chocolate comes from, how Kimmie came to be, and then give you a souvenir hairnet and take you through the whole factory to see where the magic happens! Give yourself about 30 minutes to an hour for the tour, and whether you eat any or not, be prepared to leave with a sugar high and smelling like chocolate for the rest of the day! It’s in the air! Oh yeah, not to be missed is the FREECANDY in the lobby! Try one or all of Kimmie’s great products and grab some to share with friends at home. The candy here is whimsical and wonderful, and worthy of Wonka himself. Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp eat your hearts out and make room for Joe Dutra and Kimmie Candy Company in the long legacy of Candy Men through history!

Visited their booth at the Buy Local Marketplace(in Reno). Very friendly and energetic staff giving out free samples, which were delish! I walked away with 3 of their tubes, mixture of the sunbursts(chocolate sunflower seeds) and chocorocks(chocolate covered candy that really does look like rocks). If I had known it was cheaper at the event, I would have stocked up! I think their product selection is limited to four types of candies, but they have a wide variety of colors you can choose from. Will be visiting their store soon to see what I can purchase and send home to Hawaii to spread the goodness!

I love their hard-shell chocolate covered nuts. It makes you realize what M&M’s should taste like. The staff is very friendly and they offer samples.

Kimmie Candy was a great experience, we had a tour of the factory them we were able to sample their great candies, Kimmie Corn was my favorite, They have a retail shop with lots of candies at great prices. Its a Reno hidden gem, they just started factory tours, but I think soon they will be the Jelly Belly of Reno. The owner Joe Dutra was from Sacramento and he gives the tours need to call to arrange a time to come in ., I can’t wait to see what new products they come up with . Lor
