Nice little old fashioned deli. Sandwiches are good and the service is grand. A great spot for a lunch here & there!

I always order a garden salad and a sandwich and it’s always very consistent — the staff is always professional and quick to get your food out– this is one of the cleanest restaurants in town — the place is always sparkling– the prices are very fair — lots of local business people that work nearby eat here– I highly recommend this place.

My office is up the street from Michael’s, and it used to be our go-to sandwich shop for office lunches. Their sandwiches are fantastic, don’t get me wrong. They have a large variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads, and they all taste amazing. My gripe with them is their delivery service. Not many places in Reno deliver, so I usually turned to Michael’s to deliver to my office. But they have messed up more times than I can count; missing orders, wrong orders, over charging, etc. I really can’t get past their mistakes, and so have turned to ordering out from other sandwich places across the street, and walking myself to get my order. They also don’t have any understanding of what«gluten-free» is, and were not able to tell me if their Ranch dressing was gluten-free or not.

Michael’s is one of my go-to lunch spots. On my last visit I ordered their meat loaf sandwich and potato salad to go. The sandwich was delicious, the meat was thickly sliced so it held up well and was moist and full of flavor. Potato salad was good with plenty of potatoes and not overly saturated with mayo which was nice. This place is always full and they do a huge delivery business but everyone is friendly and seems to love being there. I’ve yet to try any soups but someday I will.

Ok this is one of my go to client lunch spots. Great meeting place with a nice bright street view and inexpensive delicious food. Sandwiches are fantastic… big with lots of meat… Wonderful. They have many combinations but the pastrami is divine. What a shocker there… its pastrami right! My client had a turkey and avocado and he loved it. Solid on the Deli Sandwiches! I think the star of this deli are the salads. I’ve been trying to eat lighter during the day and have tried the salads the last 3 visits. Really fresh and great ingredients. I tried the Tuscany chop salad today which was really hearty and fresh. The last two times I had the Mediterranean and almost ordered it again today it was so good. Lots of interesting savory stuff packed in it. Solid on the Salads! They have some very tempting desserts… but I stay clear do to my love handle problem. The staff are really on top of it at lunch and get your stuff to you quick. Proper deli with fantastic food… give it a try.

A whole lot of praise for this place. Huge selection and if you’re not getting one of their hot sandwiches or paninies, you’re crazy. So far I’ve tried: — The Venetian(5 stars: If this is your first time, try this! Everything in it is delicious.) — Tri-tip Sandwich(3 stars: Tri-tip was a little flavorless, but the rest of the sandwich made up for it.) — Apple Chicken Salad(4 stars: the chicken was warm, the apples were crisp, and the dressing was delicious. I’m not a huge dressing person either.) — Ciabatta Club(5 stars: Had this yesterday and honestly, I trust Michael’s so much that I ate it without bothering to read what’s in it. Chicken, cheese, avocado, order.) Better get there before 12:30 or else you’re waiting in a long line. It’s also a good idea to call in if you’re in a rush. However, if you are stuck in the line, don’t worry, the service is fast. Be patient, your time will come. The prices are reasonable considering the portion size and the tastiness. Ever since my supervisor took me here, I’ve been taking all my friends I’ve met and they’ve likewise appreciated the food, service, and general atmosphere of this family-owned deli.

My new favorite spot in Midtown! Service is fast here. Ordered my food, got my water(put in two pieces of lemons because I like my water with flavor), and before I sat down in my table, my food was already ready and waiting for my attention. To top it all of, the food meticulously done. It also tasted delicious! I will definitely be back here in the near future. This was a great find for me! Side note: I especially like the whole atmosphere of this place. Very NYC with a liquor store next door and a strip club across the street. The local authorities along with the lawyers and just about anybody else are also present. Great vibe!

I have been a fan of Micheal’s for quite some time. Their falafel is so freaking tasty. It’s served more like a salad than a sandwich/pita and it’s a generous portion. I generally wind up with lunch for the next day as well. The veggie sandwich is also crazy good. The ran out of falafel one day and I was forced to order it. Forced? How dare I use such a word. It was all of the glorious veggies piled insanely high for my eating pleasure. Also left me with lunch for the next day. Did you know they deliver? I literally just found this out. I am not-so-patiently waiting for them to bring me all of the veggie sandwich yummies to my cube. Also a kale salad. Haven’t tried it yet. I’ll let you know ;)

Ate lunch here today and was reminded how much I love this place. My go-to menu item is the caprese sandwich. The dutch crunch bread is always soft and fresh, and the plentiful helping of mozzarella cheese is my favorite part. I also love the unique blend of pesto they add to the sandwich. The prices are great; my caprese sandwich coming in at $ 5.99; what a deal for a fresh deli made sandwich. Located in the newly renovated Midtown District this place is ideal for a delicious, affordable lunch, just note they are not open for dinner. The menu features countless hot and cold sandwiches, salads, and soups. Looking forward to returning soon.

I can’t say much about Michael’s at the moment, since I’ve been there just once and had their LJ’s wrap to go. The wrap was good. It was filled with turkey, avocado, ranch, bacon, cheese and veggies. It didn’t seem big at first but it was filling. Not a fan of the green-colored tortilla, though, plainly for the color itself and not the taste. They have a huge selection of food, including salads, hot and cold sandwiches and panini; so you’ll definitely find something you crave. I’ll have to come back to try their sandwiches sometime soon.

Food: 4⁄5 Price: $$ Portion: 5⁄5 Service: 4.5÷5 Appearance: 2.5÷5 Presentation of food: 3⁄5 OVERALL: 4⁄5 Definitely a mom and pops deli, the family running it are very friendly and sweet. I had their pesto chicken panini. Warm and crunchy outside, cheesy pesto inside with sun dried tomatoes. Everything was good I just felt like something was missing, like maybe a spicy mayo? I’m not sure, something with a kick was missing, it just felt like one straight taste. I also got to try their cold pasta salad which was a little spicy and it was really good! It consisted of onions, pasta, their sauce, sweet corn, and black beans. Really tasty! My daughter(4) had their grilled cheese panini, it was super cheesy, she loved it, and it was pretty good! She loved it.

Being stuck at a new job, super busy and not able to leave for lunch, makes a very long day. Yes, I brought lunch to work, but I didn’t feel like eating it. That’s when a co-worker recommended that we get Michael’s Deli and that they deliver! Yipee! I ordered a Cobb Salad with Balsamic dressing. This was the first time I’ve ever had a salad that had more toppings than lettuce. It was amazing. It filled me up and was only $ 7! I wish that they would have included a bit more lettuce though. But, I can’t complain. Delivery took about 30 – 45 minutes though and my office is walking distance from them. But, that’s ok… that’s what I get for being lazy. I will definitely order out from them again!

It is 12:36 and I just ordered(for delivery) a Mile High corned beef sandwich(no lettuce), potato salad(large side), and a meat & cheese knish. The guy who took the call was obviously very busy since it is smack dab in the middle of the lunch rush and was unable to give me a total. According to my calculator it should be $ 14.25.(which is under the posted $ 15 delivery minimum) According to Google Earth the distance from Michael’s to my house is .3 miles(4 ½ blocks). The call was so quick I was not able to tell him what kind of cheese or bread(Swiss & rye) I wanted before he hung up. Let’s see how this works out.(Insert Jeopardy music here.) 13:16 and the food is here. Total with tax was«Fifteen even» according to the young man who delivered it. I gave him a $ 20. When I got the grub inside the tag actually showed $ 15.35 so he gave me a break. I pulled out the food and took a picture. The first thing I noticed was there was lettuce on the sandwich. Also no dill pickle? Who serves a corned beef on whatever this bread is since I wasn’t able to ask for rye, without a pickle? Taste time! The knish was tasty. Are they supposed to be oily on the outside? If so they nailed it! Next is the potato salad. Good sized container. The potatoes are firm and the mayo is real. It gets a passing grade. Now for the Mile High corned beef sandwich. I almost want to cry. Soggy roll of some kind, WAY too many onions and yes LETTUCE! I specifically said NOLETTUCE. Let’s move on. Where is the mustard and mayo? Corned beef without mustard and mayo? It says right on the menu it comes with both. I mean if you are going to include lettuce because it says so on the menu then slather on the mustard and mayo too! This is just not very good. My in store visits were WAY better. So much for adding Michael’s to my very limited list of Midtown delivery businesses.

Whenever I go to Reno I eventually feel the need to eat something that is fresh and not too heavy which is when I end up at Michael’s Deli. It’s an unassuming place but inside there is a menu board loaded with fresh delicious salads and sandwiches. This time around I had the Asian chicken salad, absolutely delicious, plenty of greens to make me feel virtuous and lots of tender moist chicken on top. My hubby had the chicken cesar, also excellent. In the past I had the turkey sandwich and veggie sandwich, both loaded with fillings and so very tasty. Staff here is very friendly, service is incredibly fast so you won’t be hungry for long and portions are large and filling. Clean and plenty of seating, Michael’s is my go to when I’m in Reno.
