My friend and I go to the Tuesday night Bingo. We have a blast at this place. Tammy and her band are wonderful. They play quite the variety of music which really impressed me when we first came. Tammy was providing hilarious commentary during the bingo game. We come to this Wine bar because of the fun environment. In fact we have been going now for a couple of months. Well this past time we went was not that fun at all. Apparently someone complained that the Bingo got to rowdy. Well here is what I have to say to that, Bingo night was fun, and the place was packed! This last week we went to play bingo and the bar was pretty much empty and bingo went to fast and it wasn’t as fun as it was… Just my personal thought, things seemed to be funnier when the game took time to do and people got to laugh… Ordering from the surround restaurants is a nice touch.

OHMYGOSH this place is AWESOME! I don’t go anywhere else! My best friend and I have a standing date at this fabulous place! The owners and workers are so sweet and personable. They know us by name and treat us like family! Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else!

This was my first trip to this wine bar. Although I didn’t catch their names, the two female bartenders were super nice and atentative. The band the night I was there was a beachy kind of band and everyone loved the drummer haha. I took a picture of a drunk patron who was tooting her own horn while the band was playing because I hope she sees this and is embarrassed. It was soo disrespectful to the band on stage playing really good music. Also, to the group that was with her encouring the behavior-shame on you, all of you are wayyy to old to be acting like that. After the drunken horn blower left everyone let out a deep sigh of relief and enjoyed the bands last set. My wine flight was delicious.

Fun wine bar. Live music was good and had a very lively atmosphere. Wine selection was solid and staff was attentive. Didn’t try the cheese plate but they do offer one. I’ll be back here for bingo night for sure.

$ 46 for a bottle of Butter Chardonnay! $ 12 for(almost) half poured glass of wine? Then I get home to reconcile my check book. The $ 46.00 receipt that I logged in then turned in to a $ 53.00 charge on line. I didn’t authorize the 15% add on, as I totaled my bill out @ $ 46.00. NOTCOOLATALL for your staff to add a tip that I did not authorize.

This is a very pleasant wine bar tucked back in a strip center. The ambiance is very pleasant and the owner is often behind the bar. She is quite wine knowledgeable. My brother and I asked her to pick white flights for us. She asked our preferences and did a great job with the choices which were different for each of us. After our first flight we decided we wanted a second(red) flight so we ordered a cheese plate which was very well done. Nice assortment of cheeses, crackers, nice fresh grapes and yummy mixed nuts. The second flight was even better. I found a new wine love: HobNob red blend. Yum. A literally crazy lady came into the place while we were there, telling the owner that she(crazy lady) was the owner of the entire town of Napa and had 200 personal vehicles(«sssshhhh, they are all the cars in Hot August Nights.»), but could she have a free glass of wine. The owner was so patient and kind and gave the CL a little taste of wine. What patience and what a good heart! Prices by glass and bottle were very reasonable. If I were a Renoite I would definitely be a regular here.

What a fin little place! My girlfriends and I were looking for a nice bar to sit and catch up! So we wondered into the Midtown Wine Bar. They happened to be setting up for bingo night! Never tried bingo, so, let’s do it! The staff was super friendly! The wine selection was great! The bingo was hilarious! We each for 2 boards, and played all four games, it came out to 14 bucks a person… I’m assuming not bad, but since I was a bingo virgin, I had no reference. The games moved pretty fast, and the ladies running the bingo were sooo much fun! We were getting kinda hungry so we asked if they served food… They do not… but… The 2 restaurants in the shopping center will deliver… Ok, cool! The bartender even had menus for the other restaurants. We order from Marios(an Italian place) the waiters was quick and efficient, she brought over a tray with real plates(I was expecting Togo boxes) real silverware and the check(they clearly have done this many times before!!) the food was good! We had a blast! I would defiantly come back!

Worst place to go if you ever want a drink. Stopped by tonight for bingo and wine the blind bimbo that was more interested in catering to a DILF that wait on anyone that had money to spend, was a complete airhead. Waited 20 min at the bar for a drink that was after our party had waited so long at the table of 9 and couldn’t seem to capture her attention so I stood up and tried at the bar… Final after not being able to get a drink I politely excused myself from the group and left … What a trashy place that has become… Hire some quality help for god sakes.

Quickly becoming to go to place in Reno for great wine and live music. There is no food on site however you can order for out from a variety of restaurants in the area for delivery to you at Midtown. Thanks for supporting a variety of local music.

We came here on the suggestion of our server Stephanie at Mario’s Portafino and we were pleasantly surprised at our experience. Before we even walked in we noticed they have outside seating which is awesome because for a good chunk of the year that’s a great thing to do in Reno and I feel like not enough establishments take advantage of this — for us this can be the reason we patronize one place over another. Once we walked I was really surprised how large this place is — you could easily have a party here. They also have plenty of seating including couches so you can also sit down and enjoy a intimate conversation with someone as well. Once seated our ‘bartender’ came over quickly and took our drink order. We were impressed by the very reasonable pricing and ordered a bottle of wine. We were able to sit back on the couches, relax — listen to some music and just take in the moment — it was a great experience. A couple cool things about this place: — They are dog friendly! Someone had their big lovable lab in here and he was a sweetheart walking around getting petted and having a great time — Marios will deliver here! You can order food from Marios and they’ll bring it over for you to enjoy next door. — Live music! We were a little early but they do have live music which is pretty cool. These guys have done a great job with this place — looking forward to many more trips here.

I’m young and can stand loud as hell music for long periods of time but when the three clueless bartenders can’t hear anyone’s order, it’s a problem. Besides, being out of glassware during a band isn’t a good thing either. Will try again when there isn’t a Viagra dispenser in the bathroom. Cheers

While I’m a big fan of breweries, wine bars also have a special place in my heart. I’ve been here a couple times, and its convenient location next to my gym makes it an easy place to get to(because that’s what you should do – workout and then go have a glass of wine). They have a pretty decent happy hour, $ 2 off a glass, so that’s my favorite time to head over. The selection of wine is nice and the servers have always been quick to recommend a glass that they think will match my tastes. So far, they’ve been spot on with their recommendations – definitely appreciated. As far as the inside and ambiance goes – it’s low-key. Not really a fancy wine bar place, but not really a dive either. Just kind of… there. There’s a rockin’ patio outside, but at the moment it doesn’t have any tables/chairs besides the railing that goes around the edge. My one complaint is that, while they have live music there fairly regularly, it seems like the music is too loud for the size of the restaurant. While I like to listen to music, I also like to be able to hear the friends I’m at the bar with. Overall it’s a nice place to visit, and it will probably be my go-to unless I find a place I like better.

This is a great little place in Midtown. It has a fun and eclectic atmosphere… and they have free bingo on Tuesdays. You can win wine, champagne, beer and even money(if you play in the dollar bingo game) while sipping on your favorite libation. They don’t serve food, however they have the menus of several restaurants near them that you can order from(all delicious places!) which means everyone in your party can have something different. It’s great! And…there’s always a few little dogs running around in there to greet you… I just love that!

Last night was my first visit to Midtown Wine Bar. Crazy, because I definitely love a nice glass of wine! The menu is up on the wall, and I’m told it changes regularly. They sell wine by the glass or flight, beer, and a limited selection of liquor. I had a glass of Sauv Blanc that was exactly what I was after. I LOVE that they have partnered up with some local restaurants to have food delivered, or made to be picked up for the closer restaurants. Everyone at the table can order something different — Thai, Mexican, sushi… A really great concept. There was live music when I was there. I really like live music, but it’s a pretty small place, and the loudish music it made it difficult for our large group to chat. Not a bad thing, just something to keep in mind — some nights I probably wouldn’t be in the mood for that.

Midtown Wine Bar is under new ownership, and they’re taking it in a great direction! Rocking a solid selection of wines and a great draft beer lineup, as well as a full bar, there’s something for everyone here. There are big tables for group settings, and small ones for intimate conversation, and a beautiful bar which, rumor has it, the owners want your help staining with your wines! T Tuesday nights are BINGO nights, and man is that a lot of fun! First round, get bingo, win a bottle. Second is blackout, win another bottle, and the final round is for the whole kit and kaboodle! But what makes bingo night the best is the 2−4−1 drinks before and during the games! I had two drafts and my total was $ 5! Midtown Wine Bar regularly hosts live music, and there’s even rumors of a patio coming their way for the summer. I’ve also heard a few other mumbles that will make this spot a serious contender for my evening outings in the very near future. Check them out and stay tuned because I’m betting this place is about to go off!

Nice quiet place to enjoy a glass of wine. You can bring in food or have it delivered so you can enjoy bingo on Tuesday nights or various music on other nights

2nd time trying this place. I wanted to wait until I had been here twice before rating it. I’ve tried all of the wine bars in town and I have to say that it is nothing special. Steve T. is correct that the wines are not amazing and industrial. I went with a flight that consisted of a Pinot, Barbera, and a Tempranillo. The Pinot was sharp and undrinkable, the Barbera and Tempranillo were just ok. The vibe and noise level are more like a restaurant than a wine lounge.(they were having some sort of business meeting when we were there) When I go out, I enjoy wines I cannot find at the local supermarket and am willing to pay for that pleasure. Guess i’ll stick with West Street and Whispering Vines.

This little bar tucked away in a corner of a strip mall in midtown might not seem like much, but there is a lot going on here. They have a wide selection of tasting flights, and you can also buy wines by the glass. On Tuesday nights they have Bingo, which is a total hoot! They often have live acoustic music. It’s a fun, friendly place. They don’t serve food, but they have menus from the surrounding restaurants, so you can have delivered sushi from Sushi Pier, italian food from Mario’s Portofino, etc. What a fabulous idea! My only complaint is that the wine is often not served at the proper temperature. Yeah, I know, that’s typical for Reno, but this is a wine bar, so it would be nice to have an emphasis put on serving the wine properly. That said, I’m still a fan of this neighborhood gem.
