The food is good. Really good. But seriously, no substitutions? If you’re going to give people a pound of fries with every order, at least give us the option of trading those fries for something I might actually eat. Fries are good but can’t a brotha get some onion rings instead? I ain’t trying to eat a lb of potatoes if I don’t have/want to! Super lame! Whatever the food is good so enjoy.

Best burger in Reno. They don’t stuff the local RNR poll either. The atmosphere is one that makes you want to take a shower afterwards. But that is one of the things that make it worth visiting.

I have to admit that I prejudged this burger. On the surface it just didn’t look that great. It appeared to be average at best and overdone. But to my surprise it was quite juicy and tasty!!! Some folks thought the red onions were too strong but I thought it was divinely perfect. Plus it cleared my sinuses a bit– and I like natural remedies! The fries could use some umph. They were sprinkled with some green seasoning and lots of pepper– of which I’m not the biggest fan. But overall, the Awful Awful burger gets high recommendations from me.

They are known for the awful, awful burger which is also featured on Travel Channel’s Food Wars. This little and I mean little diner is located inside The Little Nugget Casino. It was $ 7 the last time I went and now it is $ 9.50. Still a great deal though; you get a big burger with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, special sauce and cheese on an onion bun with 1 pound of fries… yup I said ONE pound of fries! I felt my stomach filling up just looking at it! Lol. The burger was cooked well. I have never been able to finish the whole thing. I is definitely meant to be shared. There is enough fries to feed like 3 people, maybe 4! This diner is tiny… barely enough room to walk in to order when people are eating inside. There are tables outside the immediate diner and inside it is all bar seating. You order at the counter and they will call your number when it is ready, so listen for your order to be called. Drinks are $ 2 each and you are allowed 1 free refill. However, you can ask for ice water or cups of ice at no charge. It also says that they charge 50 cents for to-go orders, but if you eat and then ask for a box for left overs, there is no charge either. They also serve other items, all of which seem reasonably priced as well. We also tried the chicken wings this time. They were pretty good and did pack some heat! This diner is open 24÷7… a major plus if you’ve been out drinking or partying! There is also breakfast served here. I’m not sure if breakfast is served 24⁄7 and I have yet to try the breakfast. I’m a fan of this place and glad I learned about it from the Travel Channel. It’s those little local places that you don’t know about unless introduced. The workers were friendly. If you use your credit/debit card for less than $ 5, I think there is a 50 cents charge. You can bet I’ll be back here to eat again the next time I’m in Reno. It’s cheap, good, and you get alot! This place gets really busy!
