After a 45 year break from guitar I decided to take it up again. I found Eric, and after 2 months have learned far more than I expected was possible. Great mix of the practical and theory. I look forward to my lessons every week and am very pleased with the results.

My 10 year old autistic son takes lessons from Eric. He has a lot of patience with him and is helping him learn how to play. It is pretty awesome watching his progress. Eric does a great job with him and he is learning how to play with private lessons and videos clips that Eric tailors to his needs. It has been a great experience for my son and I. I highly recommend Eric if you are looking for guitar lessons in this area.

I came to Eric to expand my knowledge. A number of musicians around town that I’ve toured with or played shows with kept telling me to hook up with Eric. Wish I wouldn’t have waited so long, Eric blew my mind in very tangible constructive ways. He never tried to overload me leaving me to fend for myself the rest of the week lost in music theory confusion. I think everything he showed me was in one way or another used to write new songs. Beginner or experienced doesn’t matter Eric will take you to that next level of playing! Take some lessons see for yourself.

I started playing guitar later in life at age 50 with no prior musical experience. I had always wanted to learn to play guitar but life just got in the way. My children had grown up and moved out so I decided to go for it. After doing some research I found Eric was rated the #1 guitar teacher in Reno several years in a row. My first lesson started off like, «So Eric how do you hold this thing?» Eric taught me the songs I wanted to learn and answered my «why» questions with his thorough knowledge of music theory.
You know the saying, «You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.». Well Eric can and I can’t thank him enough.

Eric is brilliant! I had been playing for a few years before taking lessons. Within 3 months of lessons with him, I made more progress than I would have made in a year teaching myself. I highly recommend Eric for all levels of guitar! It doesn’t hurt that he’s an all around great guy as well!

We found Eric through a Groupon years ago. We gave it to our teen as a Christmas present and haven’t stopped going since! He’s an excellent teacher and a great man. He works great with our daughter and meets her at her level. Eric is always encouraging and pushing her forward, it’s been a great «zen» opportunity for her to be able to play the guitar. :-). Eric is totally down to earth. He taught me my first 3 chords 21 years ago. He is a professional. Teaching guitar has been his life’s work. It’s how he feeds his family. He’s the guy who can help you get to where you want to be with your axe. I have referred many, many students to him over the years without one unhappy student.

I have taken lessons from Eric off on and for years. I started out as an adult with no musical background, and it was a bit nerve-​wracking to start playing music, but Eric has always been laid back and fun to work with. I have a busy career and a family, so I only ever wanted to be a casual player, and even though Eric is very successful with young and serious students, he always knows how to scale the lessons to work with me. He has also always been able to teach me exactly what I felt like learning. He has taught me rock, folk, pop, theory, and he has even helped me to choose and set up my equipment.
I know many other students who have had great experiences with Eric. No matter what your guitar goals are, he will help you achieve them.

Eric is a great teacher. Not only have I learned to play the guitar, but I understand what I’m playing and why I’m playing it!
For years l tried teaching myself to play with books and videos. I could string together a few power chords and knew a scale or two but that was it. Now with Eric’s help, l can break down pretty much any song and play along with it. I’m currently trying to master complex solos. Eric has a way of teaching that makes the impossible, seem doable!
