Pewter Nail Spa

Made an appointment quickly for a Saturday morning. Kim did a great job, great conversation– never a weird moment… the type you get when you first meet someone doing a service on you. The color selection was massive, and I loved how I didn’t need to search through bottles, and try to figure out what it looked like from outside the bottle. Kim offered a range of beverages as well, which was a nice touch. The house they are set up in is so adorable as well.

I have been looking for someone to give me a manicure and pedicure and when I found this place I knew it was the one! Michelle is AWESOME and their space is so cute! Located right off of Wells in a cute older home that Michelle has decorated. She is so detail oriented and my nails always look fabulous. She takes her time and does a wonderful job. The pedicures are great as well! I will be a «regular» for sure!

I had my very first nail service ever today with Kim, and she did an awesome job. My nails came out exactly how I was hoping they would. I got gels and not only are they gorgeous but they’re nice and durable and I’ll absolutely be making regular trips back. The place is cute and welcoming and Kim was a lovely, friendly person. I really look forward to coming back in the future.

My daughter and I had mani/pedi’s today. What a fabulous place. Michelle and Kim were super fun and extremely knowledgable about their profession. We will definitely return. My fingers and toes haven’t looked or felt this good in a long time.

Michelle has been amazing with my nails since I’ve moved here. I had been going to those terrible walk in nail salons that destroyed my nails and she has done everything to fix them. She is super talented and is such a wonderful person. Great pricing.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to have visited this quaint, cute, fabulous, sanitary, personable, lovely… Ohhhhhhhh I could go on forever! I’m so grateful to have found this spa. Other nail salons and spas need to take a lesson from Pewter Nail Spa.
Attention everyone in Reno and people from out of town, please take both my and the other Unilocaler’s words for it! You will be glad you did. Michelle was sooooo professional, and was yet able to make me feel like I was a regular… I didn’t feel like an outsider, if that makes sense. I was a little nervous at first, but Michelle made me feel right at home!
I never looked at my feet until she was done working, but when I looked down I gasped in amazement! I don’t have the best looking toes okay, but Michelle worked a miracle!!! I will definitely be coming back here next time I’m in Reno. I am seriously comtemplating taking a train every month from the SF Bay Area just to have Michelle work her miracle again!!! No joke! She is that good! What a beautiful salon, but more importantly, the people working there are truly exceptional! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! Xoxoxoxoxo

I am so impressed with this adorable little place! I got a groupon for a mani pedi with Kim from my sister for Christmas.
Kim was completely fabulous. Not only was she prompt in communication for scheduling (and rescheduling…) me, she was incredibly professional and friendly. My mani and pedi turned out beautifully. Additionally, she was very prompt and quick with her services without sacrificing quality.
The salon is in a house built in 1935 and it is very quaint and homey. I had no problem parking. Kim and Michelle are both equally charming and professional.
I do not live in Reno full time anymore but you can bet I will be visiting whenever I come to town. I highly recommend pewter to anyone wanting a beautiful mani or pedi :)

Just had the best nail experience yesterday. My mom and I went in for mani/​pedis and got the platinum package for her birthday. Seriously a spa experience! Michelle and Kim were both so kind and personable, and they absolutely doted on us! We had tea and cookies, chatted away, meanwhile getting the BEST manicures/​pedicures we have each ever had.
They did them individually (pedi then mani) so we got to relax and really enjoy the experience. We never felt rushed, we were there enjoying it all for three hours (of course they have other quick services if that’s what you need, but we didn’t)
Our nails look and feel better than before (totally ravaged by previous gel nails and winter dryness). I’m a horrible customer (honestly) and I usually mentally nitpick all that I wish was better, but there wasn’t anything. It was just wonderful, through and through.
I will FOR SURE be going back. This is going to be my go-​to place in town to treat someone for a birthday or special occasion.

Kim is just amazing! My mom came in off the Unilocal reviews and gave me a gift certificate to get gel polish on my fingers and a regular pedicure. Kim called me after I made an appointment online to confirm and make sure that worked for me. She opened an hour early so I could get my fingers and toes done at the same time. I came in and she offered to do gel on my toes because she’d misplaced her regular top coat. I loved that I didn’t have to have my fingers filed down in order to get gel. My fingers and toes look so good and she’s just a joy to visit with while you get pampered. Will definitely be back!

This place is a gem!!! Tucked into a little brick house with the most knowledgable ladies… Just two of them doing an awesome job.

Highly recommend this charming Nail Spa. Michelle was a delight and took such care to removed the existing shellac polish from my nails. Can’t wait to return on my next visit. Now I need to find someone like Michelle back home.

Had a groupon with Kim, she was wonderful! So kind and helped me decide what I wanted from their 210 gel colors! No extra cost for doing the ring finger a different color. So glad I got this deal!

Michelle is great. I have had my gels for a week now and they are still in awesome condition. I’m a server so I’m rough on my hands and have them in water often so I need something to withstand that and these are just the ticket. This is my second time with Michelle and I couldn’t be happier. She’s very knowledgeable and we have cool conversations. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking to change their nail salon.

I got my fingers and toes done by Michelle today. I was able to schedule an appt online, and she called to make sure I knew where to find the shop. I am really happy with the way they turned out. She is great with designs. Fabulous.

Michelle does a great job with my nails, hands and feet, and is very thorough with her work. She is gentle on the cuticles and teaches you how to keep your nails healthy as well because as time goes on, you have more of a nail bed to have to make your look a lot better. The Rockstar toenails are so much fun to do and so pretty in sunlight! I’d recommend this place 100% and have not gone to anybody else since I found her shop!

I needed a long overdue pedicure. Michelle was awesome. The soak and rub were awesome. And the outcome was amazing. I recommend this place 100%. I will definitely be back!!!

I had been needing a pedicure for awhile now and with the summer weather upon us it’s really important my feet are flip flop ready. Michelle who is half owner of this cute quaint shop on Wells and Wonder is really gentle and knowledgable about the services she provides. I shaved my legs this morning so she did the massage on my feet only because the scrub they use has salt in it that can cause ingrown hairs, so next time no shave for 24 hours before hand. Michelle has done my feet before a few times and I never felt rushed and she is gentle. I have ticklish feet but she used just the right pressure on my points and I felt very relaxed after my service. They are reasonably priced for the experience you get.

I came to this salon because it’s super close to my house, and I was in serious need of some pampering. And pampering is what I got! I walked in and was greeted by two women, and asked if they could take a walk it. Thankfully, they said yes. I filled out a little customer questionnaire, offered wine (um, yes please!) And was brought back to a cute little pedicure room. They have custom built pedicure thrones that were super adorable and comfy! I sat down with my wine and told Michelle that I wanted mermaid toes. Boy did she deliver on the mermaid toes! The customer service was excellent, the salon was beautiful, and the experience was fun! I love this place and will definitely be coming back.
