Have yet to even order my sandwich because I have been in line for 20 minutes. Who staffs this place? Who doesn’t expect Sunday lunch to be busy?

Port Of Subs, all of them, have the best BLTs around in the fast food sandwich realm. Quality bacon, and lots of it, making Subway’s ration of bacon look puny in comparison. I dig their new rewards program with the card. Basically the same as their old stamp card where you get a free sandwich, any size up to a large(why not get a large then?) after buying a certain number of sandwiches(old program was number of orders, now I think its $$). You can now manage your cards online and combine multiple cards.

As I look back on my memories of Reno, I see Port of Subs beckoning me softly with it’s loving words, yummy fresh baked bread, and delicious mayo/mustard combo of delight. I LITERALLYDREAMOFPORTOFSUBSANDNOTHINGCANCOMPARE

I work next door so I come here a lot. A lot of the employees know my order by heart! They’re always really nice here and provide excellent customer service! The cleanliness of the restaurant is great. They always make sure to wear gloves while handling your food. Plus the food is delicious!

Port of subs is great. Great flavor. I hate subway. There so much better. I hate that they don’t have n e port of subs in the bay area.

Love the food… the staff at this particular location however needs to come to the realization that paying customers don’t like to feel like they are interfering with the employees personal conversations. If you want customers and tips, don’t act like you hate your job, life, etc. Would be five stars if the staff wasn’t so unhappy to have customers.

July 23, 2011 Saturday — lunch 12 noon 2 adults and 1 kid Atmosphere — 5 stars Food — 5 stars Service — 3 stars Atmosphere — Clean fast food restaurant located in a larger strip mall. You walk down the counter as the employees ask how you want them to build your sub sandwich. Food Appetizer — none today. Main Course — I ordered the No. 1 on wheat medium(8 inches). The No. 1 has Ham, Salami, Capicolla, Pepperoni & Provolone Cheese, and I love a good Capicolla. As their slogan states«Sliced Fresh Sandwiches!», and they do slice their meats and cheese in front of you and it really does make a difference. Dessert — not a big dessert fan during the lunch hour. Service — They had four people working the counter and were the only ones there. It was if they were trying to rush us through. The person working the slicer was hard to hear and prying to get our orders from us. At the other end of the line was the cashier. She wanted to take the order complete order from me, but all I could give as we were spread out was each order as we completed. Because the way we exchanged information, I ended up with a drink short. So I had to pay cash for that drink after charging the rest of the meal. Yeah I know I could have charged the drink and ding them for a small transaction.

This place is getting it right for me. Their bread is always soft. They’ve been giving out calendars with coupons. They have an $ 11.992ft sub deal. The staff is young and laidback, but they are respectful and do their jobs. I’ve never had a problem here.

Port of Subs is probably the best sub shop in the Reno area, certainly better than Subway(ugh). I pretty much always get the same thing – smoked ham with pepperjack, mayo/mustard, pickles, tomatoes and all the shakers and oils. It rocks. If you get a large you basically get two meals because the subs are pretty darn big, especially if you get the combo. Prices are pretty good – I saw another port of subs reviewer(for a different locale) complaining about the prices, but I don’t find this place to be very expensive(and all port of subs charge basically the same price). Its usually around $ 12 – 13 for a large combo meal which is a TON of food. Medium or small is cheaper. Its really not that bad since you get chips and a drink. Plus if you go there regularly, you can pick up a repeat eater card and after like 10 or 12 visits you get a freebie. I usually order the medium combo and then take the large as my freebie. :)

I love Port of Subs! It’s a great place to get a sandwich and would prefer them over Quiznos or other chain sub places! YEAH!

There should be a warning label on the door letting you know that if you consume ANYTHING at this place you will crave it daily and never be satisfied with another sandwich as long as you live. I was reluctant to try POS initially. The concept of multiple meats and cheeses being sliced one after the other without cleaning the slicer in between products was EXTREMELY unnerving to me. I caved however, and have never looked back. Delightful and delicious. I recc. a number 3(salami, turkey and provolone — sub the provolone for smoked cheddar) on wheat. Definitely try to the smoked cheddar — it’s amazing. I typically like BLT’s but I don’t like their bacon. WAY too much pepper. If you like really strong pepper bacon you’ll enjoy the BLT. I’m not a mustard fan, so I have never tried their signature mustard /mayo condiment combo, but i’ve heard from others its great as well. If you haven’t tried it yet, do it… but be forewarned you’ll crave it… daily. Your craving will NEVER be satisfied either!

I love Port of Subs! Definately the best sub joint ever! But this port of subs is in desperate need of a make-over. It has a dirty feel and it is always packed! BUT, the subs are always delicious, even though they keep raising their prices. You can’t go wrong with a #1!

This is the best Port of Subs in Reno, as far as how well the sandwich is prepared. They really do everything in their power to make it good. Still, being Port of Subs, they don’t spend a whole lot on meats. Deli Town is way better. Other wise, very good, will drive across Reno, past a dozen other Port of Subs, if that’s what I want to eat.
