Went into the team shop during the latest visit to the park. Foolish me, I trusted the weather report on this visit. It was a bit cool when I left for the park, but the report said it was going to warm up, so I work just a light jacket. While watching the game, the weather turned colder, and I needed to buy something warmer. I went into the store thinking I needed a sweatshirt. I have been thinking about buying one before, just did not want to spend the money. I bought a nice sweatshirt without a hood for $ 22. Not too bad a price I felt. Some of the other prices were very steep. If you look through the shop you can find a few good deals there. The prices here are not much more than you will find in Wal-mart or Scheels.

If you’re a baseball fan and have never seen minor league baseball(insert Dodgers wisecrack here), you’d probably be surprised by the impressive abilities of the players and the intensity of the game. The experience will cost you a fraction of what an MLB game commands, and you might even enjoy playing«talent scout» for the evening, later telling your MLB-watching friends, «Yup, he was my pick to click several years ago.» I’ve done as much with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. The Reno Aces are the Triple-A(highest level) minor league team of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and were established in 2009 to play in a brand-new stadium that anchors a revitalized Downtown section a block from the Amtrak station and Harrah’s hotel/casino. The team is managed by former Dodgers and Giants center fielder Brett Butler. The Team Shop sells apparel and souvenirs that aren’t so budget-conscious as the rest of the minor-league experience, but appear well-made and stylish. My choice was a 3XL t shirt for $ 20, $ 2 more than the XL and smaller sizes, and one of the store’s best values(it has no bargain bin). If the opportunity ever arises to visit Reno in the summer, scheduling the trip to coincide with an Aces home game will be a must.
