Great doctor. Super smart. Researched about my condition right in front of me, rather than disappearing into another room. I like him.

Dr. Sundstrom always treats me professionally and courteously. It is extremely easy to make an appointment with him through a web app(MyChart). He has been very punctual for all of my appointments. I have never had to wait for more than 5 – 10 minutes, regardless of what time of day my appointment was. He communicates clearly, timely, and precisely, including by email through the aforementioned app. Whenever lab results are posted he always includes his observations in the message I receive. Whenever I post a question on the web site, he personally answers it. I definitely and without reservations recommend him to anyone looking for a personal internist.

My son and I had a terrible experience with the scheduling and the actual doctor visit and staff. This dr was just randomly selected from a list of providers eligible for my insurance plan. We will not be going back to this office. First problem was in scheduling. All the calls are sent to a single master phone number and routed. I was connected to the office, explained the need and the office staff said they had to look into the question and call back. They did call back and left the main number and said to ask for Alena. I call and no one ever heard of «Alena«. I was then bounced from location to location. I should have been given a direct call back number or something specific to identify the person on how to reach them. When I did eventually connect, I set the appointment for my son. Specifically, he needed a screening for ashsma. They said they couldn’t do it and would have to be referred to a specialist but wasn’t willing to do that until he first saw the GP. That now adds another 4 weeks to the process. My son arrived at his appointment 5 minutes late and was given the riot act by the very grumpy receptionist. After the lecture, my son did see the dr. The dr had no bed side manner at all. He rushed through the general exam not spending more than 8 minutes in the exam room. He had never seen my son before and we expected that he’d take a few minutes to get acquainted. With a quick reflex check, listen to the chest, look in the ears and throat, he was on the run and out the door. It’s still not clear if the referral has been granted or not. This whole experience was chaos. You’d think that for a young man considering to serve his country in the armed forces and needing an ashsma screening he’d get a little attention to his situation and needs.
