Vain Salon

This place is closed ~~~~~~~~~~~ Per the sign on the front door it closed February 2016. Refers everybody over to Gina at Salon Bliss.
Bummer — It was a charming place I liked going to get my hair cut by Gina. Very personalable.

Lisa is great! I have very difficult nails and she is able to make them stay without lifting for the entire two weeks. Definitely a huge plus for me because I work with my hands all day. When I have had a break she is super quick to get it fixed for me.

Julie K is AWESOME! She did a fantastic job and I would definitely recommend her! She is very likable and makes you feel comfortable. Her salon is reasonably close to the casinos so not a hassle if you’re from out of town. Next time I’m in Reno I’ll be a return client!

I go to Julie to get waxed, and she’s absolutely amazing! Gets the job done in under 30 mins usually, and is extremely thorough! Nice salon.

Great, basic salon with a fun atmosphere. I’ve been a customer for 3 years with Lisa Norman who does gels for $ 20.

I’ve been going to Jen Solaris for years. I’m not too picky, I keep my hair pretty simple. But I always trust any suggestions she gives me. She always does an awesome job and I always look forward to sitting & chatting with her durring my cut!

LOVE this place. Very professional and full service salon. Jennifer Solares has done my hair for years and does an excellent job. She is fun to be around and talk to and she always has great suggestions when I want a change. I am very picky about my hair because it is short and takes a long time to grow back if messed up. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Jennifer does my hair perfect everytime.

Okay. So I admit, I love groupons, coupons, deals and even sometimes «not the best» service if it’s cheap enough. BUT no matter how cheap I may be, I will never EVER again settle for an esthetician.
My experience with Leslie was great in the beginning! The deal was too good to be true… which come to find out was just that.
Leslie does have a great personality, down to earth and has a great vibe, along with the rest of the staff at Vain. With that said it is not exactly my main focus when looking for a decent esthetician although it is on the list. (I’d rather be rude too then have a bad wax.)
The groupon was for a brazilian wax along with a notorious «vajazzle». I quickly laughed that off and denied it. cheesy much?
As awkward as the bright room already had been, along with the uncomfortable dentist looking chair, she didn’t even leave the room to let me undress and get situated. I may be in her face as I’m getting waxed but I like to prepare myself???
It would have been amazing timing, the quickest I’ve ever had if it were done anywhere close to appropriate. Instead it took her 15 minutes to roughly rip a few pieces of hair off my vagina, double dip some sort of oil and thoroughly fail at her job. Leaving me with more hair than I would have had, getting a bikini wax anywhere else!
I must have been too short in places and instead of doing her job and not waxing that area, she did anyway and offered a free appointment to get the rest in a week? Let’s just say I won’t be getting waxed or laid for that matter due to the worst skin irritation I have ever had in my life!
Thanks for the hospitality but this literally ruined my weekend!!!

I can’t believe that Leslie doesn’t have more reviews after the Groupon that she offered. Yes, I got the brazillian groupon, and I have to say, I was very happy!!! Leslie did a great job. It was my first brazillian and it didn’t hurt as bad as I expected. She did a great job! There was no bruising, or irritation. She did miss a few hairs but that was because the hairs were too short for the wax to pull off. I can’t wait to go back and see her again. She is amazing!!!

Leslie Aluffi is an amazing Aesthetician! I have seen her for waxing and facials for years. Her dynamic personality and wonderful bed side manner are second to none. Leslie also keeps up with her education and up and coming trends such as «Vajazzling». Her strong work ethic, upbeat attitude and willingness to work with my busy schedule makes me a devoted client…
