Last night I unfortunately had to run in at the last minute to buy 2 extra bags of concrete for my boyfriend bc he was working on a project and running out. I arrived at the store about 5 minutes before closing, knowing exactly what I wanted, where it was etc. As I walked in I was approached by an associate, telling me the store was closed, I said, its not 8pm yet and went along my merry way. I saw an associate(Chris from Tool Rentals) and asked him to lift the 80 pound bags of concrete for me and he did without hesitation, and I asked about taking it to my car, and he said the cashier will be able to call someone. So I rang out and was done with the transaction at 7:59. Your store closes at 8, I expect full service until the store is closed. She could not locate anyone because they have already left, or punched out. Well thanks for nothing, now I have to try and lift 280 pound bags of concrete myself. The cashier asks, «Is that okay?» I replied«No its not» and left, but what was I to do? I was out the door and saw the same guy, Chris, locking up some lawn tractors out front, and he assisted me to my car. He seemed to be the only person in the store who understood a job needs to get done, and regardless of it being 8, he had to finish his work before going home. He did not complain and helped me with a smile. If the store closes at 8, associates shifts should not end at 8, it should be 8:15 or later to make sure that each customer is given the attention they need. Regardless, if it was poor planning on our part as far as the amount of concrete needed, I was still out of there by 8, and expect the same service I would get any other time of day. As far as your associates, Chris from Tool Rentals deserves a raise, why? Because he is the only damn person who actually does his work there, and the people who don’t should not be getting the same pay as him. If you don’t give him a raise you should dock all the other employees for lack of proper work ethic.

It’s Home Depot — what more can you say about it. They help you get what you need and get you on your way. I can’t say I have had any experiences that either stand out as superb or as absolutely atrocious.

The layout if this store is backwards in comparison with all other HD stores I’ve been to, making it tricky to find what you’re looking for. The appeal of box stores is supposed to be that they are all the same no matter which one you go to.

Staff is helpful and there is a lot around. Although we had to ask twice where we could find regular household vacuums because we were just not seeing them. Layout of the store was a little annoying to me.

I got helped very quickly at 8am ish. I got schooled on the differences between push brooms(who knew there is different brooms from concrete, asphalt, and otherwise?) I’d use you again if I have to but you are further away from my home than True Value.
