There is quite a selection of pastries and bread here. I got an almond croissant and monkey bread. The croissant was okay. The monkey bread was crunchy, which was odd to me, and had a sourdough taste to it. Can’t say I would come back, but I’m sure it would be better if it was just made.

The couple who own this bakery are very nice and accommodating. The wife took her time to try and find the perfect hot chocolate for me. They make real hot chocolate with real chocolate pieces. I tried several of the baked goods, the majority were good, the monkey bread was a little stale, but I think it was because of the time of day. There is plenty of parking and the prices are very reasonable.

Been here a few times and the baked goods does not disappoint. The price are a little higher but the portion of each pastry was big so it’s worth it. I would come back to try everything that they have. My favorite so far is the monkey bread and the cream puff. This place definitely deserve more business. It’s a delicious bakery

Made from scratch! Uses real milk chocolate and very good customer service. Took their time to explain the process of making their stuff. Had raspberry turnover, goat cheese artichoke croissant, a peach bar and hazelnut milk chocolate mocha!

Full cabinets of beautiful pastries at 5 p.m. sounds great! However, shelves that full might lead to my experience, stale cookies and cream puffs. The cream puffs tasted rancid and we threw them away along with half the stale cookie. This bakery is trying too hard to keep the shelves full and this is leading to stale pastries. I’d rather have a small selection and know what I am getting is fresh. The cashier was pleasant but alot of items were not marked with descriptions. This made picking out pastries more challenging then it needed to be. I won’t be returning to this bakery after my dispappointing trip to this hard to find location.

My mom and I LOVE this bakery and the woman who runs it. She’s so kind and makes the most delicious stuff. Some sweet, some light and less sugary. A lovely variety of pastries and such. The owner/baker made a custom key lime pie for my father’s birthday on August 16th. It was incredible. He, and everyone else who tried it, LOVED it. It wasn’t overly sweet and was made with only a few simple ingredients. Much better than a pie bought from Safeway or something. We will definitely keep coming to this bakery. It’s fantastic. :)

I really enjoyed the variety of pastries at this bakery. It’s a small neighborhood place. Personally, I enjoy these bakeries the most. I thought that the interior was clean and modern. The artwork lends itself to a pleasant optimistic perspective. I came here with my son for a mother-son visit. My son enjoyed a mild hot chocolate and I enjoyed a mocha latte and we both have had our share of Spanish pastries. You should really check this place out if you like intimate breakfast places to grab some caffeine and fuel up on tasty pastries. The man who helped me was very kind and down to earth. You won’t get your cheesy Starbucks introduction but you will get somebody who is down to earth and a real person. Check it out I think you won’t be disappointed. To be honest, I got the feeling that the staff was not prepared for us to come in. I feel like this might be a small business that does not get the attention it deserves. There is a conglomerate of pastry and coffee and tea places out here that basically entertain the masses. If you want something different and you live in Renton it’s really not out of the way. Check them out they’re are very happy servants and do their job well it’s really worth a try.

If you ever see mini palm sized pies, GETTHEM. DONOTHESITATE and get one(or two!). They are AMAZING. I had their peach pie and the crust is just absolutely amazing. Their fruit bars are a must try! I got the guava and mango bars. They both have real chunks of fruit in them. I wasn’t a huge fan of the guava because the seeds made it tough to eat. Regardless, the flavor was excellent. They also have made to order ice cream sandwiches! Will be back for one of those next time.

Tucked away in the back of the VietWah Shopping Complex in Renton, this little bakery is a delight. It’s a small little shop with a few tables. The woman who helped me was sweet and charmed my socks off. They have beautiful pastries. Cakes, cookies, bars, breads, Mexican pastries, elephant ears… I could go on and on, but the drooling makes it hard to think. They have two large display cases full of pastries and a rack of breads. The cakes are beautiful. There was a carrot cake that was so gorgeous, it was almost what I went for. Then I saw the molasses cookie sandwich. Two very large molasses cookies with cream cheese frosting as the filler. SOLD! The cookies are the size of a toddler’s face and the whole things is quite weighty. And delicious. So… so…delicious. The cookie had all the right spices. The cookie texture was spot on, not too hard & not too chewy. The cream cheese frosting was good, not too sweet and had a nice cream cheese tang. My cookie cost $ 4.50, which may seem pricey, but the cookie is the size of a small pie. Totally worth it. I’ll definitely go back!!!

I was searching for some delicious baked goods on the way back to SeaTac from Woodinville and came across this place on Unilocal. Other Unilocalers are right– this bakery is definitely hidden and off the beaten path! Drive down behind the big grocery store and into the small lot on the left. They even have reserved parking spots for customer convenience! Everything looked good and tasty– but I decided to be adventurous and go with the Coconut Cranberry Scone. Service was very friendly from the manager/owner. The scone was a little dry and bland on the outside– but parts of the interior were moist and tasty! Flour, Sugar, and More seems like a great option in the area!

I learned about Flour, Sugar and More through the strong recommendation of a friend, who was so enthusiastic about it that I ended up coming by the next day! This no-frills bakery in the Viet Wah shopping center is a great place to stop by for fresh breads, cookies, pastries and cakes. The store can be a little hard to find — it’s in the back of the main strip, so you go through the main parking lot into the rear parking lot and it will be straight ahead. I went on a Sunday afternoon and the cases still looked pretty full. There are baguettes, rolls, and bagels out on a self-serve table in the center, as well as large flavored loaves like rosemary garlic and blue cheese parmesan. In the cases, you’ll find brownies and cookies, empanadas and pan dulce, tartlets and pastries, and whole fancy cakes. Prices are reasonable — $ 5.75 for the AMAZING blue cheese parmesan loaf, $ 2.50 for a slice of chocolate pound cake, and about $ 2 for a Nutella croissant. Individual pastries range from $ 2 – 5 and they’re all clearly marked with prices. The macarons seemed a little high at $ 2.50 apiece, so I skipped those. As delicious as the baked goods are, the interior itself isn’t very cute or inviting. It’s pretty basic, with a table in the center and a couple of chairs by the door, but the store is small enough that I’d feel right in everyone’s way. So, not really a place that you’d want to hang out, more for takeaway(although I hear their mochas are delicious). Overall, a nice little place with high-quality, tasty baked goods, and I can’t say enough about that fantastic blue cheese parmesan loaf. I’ll be back for more breads and pastries, for sure.

I’m sad this place is hidden. It needs to be in a location where it has more visibility. As soon as I walked in the lady at the counter was very nice and friendly and ready to take our orders. I got a guava bar(Devine!), you can taste the actual guava in it. I also got a passion fruit macaron, I wanted to like it, the texture was there but the flavor wasn’t. It was huge too! And last I got a sort of small individual pound cake. It was called garibaldi, which I loved it had lots of sprinkles in it and the cake inside had a hint of orange. Perfect consistency, dense and moist. I will definitely come back for more guava bars and garibaldis.

Really wanted a macaron today and all the bakeries close to home closed at 5pm(it was 5:20)… Decided to make a quick drive to Renton to try out the macarons here… Glad we did, these macarons are a little more expensive then the other shops(2.50 each) but they are probably ¼ bigger then your typical macaron hence the small price difference. We tried 5 different flavors each one delicious!

I first heard of Flour, Sugar, and More from Unilocal and made a mental note of it due to the glowing reviews. Several days later, a Facebook friend posted about it, so I figured it was time to give this place a try. Due to the location, Flour, Sugar and More is not a place you’d stumble upon by happenstance. It’s located next to Tea Palace in a half-empty strip mall that’s hidden behind a much larger strip mall. There were so many options to choose from, but since it was breakfast and I wanted something to go with my coffee, I decided on the Monkey Bread, which is basically pieces of croissant squares amalgamated together and coated in cinnamon and sugar. It was good, very good, but probably should not be the deciding factor on their overall capability. I’ll go back again to get a larger sample of products and will update my review. The girl working behind the counter recommended the chocolate croissant and said their croissants typically sell out quickly. I made a mental note and will come back again to try that.

I stopped by here for some treats on a rainy Saturday afternoon, after reading the great reviews of other Unilocalers. I didn’t know this bakery was here before, despite driving down this street many times, because It is set back from the street, kind of behind another strip mall. So I’m thankful to all the others who have reviewed Flour, Sugar and More, because they are great, and I want to help pass the word about them! So my kids and I came in looking for a couple of snacks. The couple that works there are very friendly and patient, particularly with my 9-year old who loves to ask a million questions about everything. They have a huge selection of baked goods, ranging from truffles, to cakes, to pastries, to breakfast-type pastries, to freshly baked loaves of bread. They had samples out of their bars. I tried the pumpkin and the apple, and they were delicious. I would go back and buy some of those. The kids ended up going with the French macaroons and a slice of chocolate pound cake, and proclaimed them delicious. I tried the apple cranberry turnover, the pineapple turnover, and a sugar cookie. All were very good, but the pineapple turnover was the highlight — a type of treat that you just don’t see or get to eat every day! I also picked up a loaf of the sundried tomato-olive bread, and it was really good! It had a different texture than I expected. It was more brioche-y than the country-style types of olive breads that you see. It made great toast the next day. I’m thrilled that Renton has a good bakery now, and I think everyone should go there and treat themselves once in a while!

What to give it? The goods average out to be a 3.5, but the person manning the place was so friendly and sweet that she elevated the rating. Also, the interior was very clean and presentable, thus rounding up to a 4. It’s a French influenced bakery, therefore the macaron must be tried. $ 2.80 for a single macaron? It is large, but at that cost? I opted for the salted caramel macaron. Wow. I first judge a macaron on how well it splits. I cracked it down the middle. Beautiful. It held together very well, and as for the taste? Lovely. It impressed me so much more than Le Panier’s, and Bakery Nouveau’s. Probably because the filling was rich. Finally a place where the filling has some focus! I also got the veggie braid and the guava bar. The braid was filled well with vegetables with a cream cheese layering on the bottom, but as it was cold and not warm, the braid didn’t taste as good as it could have, and tasted under seasoned; needed more salt. It was quite bland. The guava bar was tasty; can taste the guava well. But, for those with weak teeth, you are warned. The guava seeds are hard! I thought my teeth were going to break, but that didn’t stop me from digging into it. For the macaron, and to try other pastries, I would come back.
