If you expect the truth, action or communication you best go elsewhere. In April 2014 I contacted this vendor. They did not return my calls or emails. I stopped by their store and left a personal message for their sales person to contact me. NADA. I gave up and set the project aside. This year(2015) I once again stopped by their store and talked in person to the sales person. I was not taken seriously, and had to go measure my own windows. I returned those measurements. I was told a price estimate. I stopped in and paid 90% down on the estimate in the hopes that this would spur action. It did not. I had to call over the next 3 weeks to get them to actually schedule the«professional» to come and remeasure. I finally got that done. Weeks went by. I had been told it would be 3 weeks and we would schedule the installation. Fine. Only after 3 weeks, I had to contact them to find out when this would be installed. I was told that the order was ready to go to the manufacturer. What the ^&*)! This was supposed to be ready to install at this point. Anyway the order went in. And I waited. 3 weeks later I called again. I was told the manufacturer was shipping them«today» and we set an installation date for the following Friday. The following Friday, the installer did not show. I called. They said they had to look into it. I waited. I was finally given a call back that said the Manufacturer had left these sitting on the shipping dock for the past week. Right. But we could schedule the installation for the following Friday. We did. The installer was over an hour late — without any contact to tell me so. Finally he arrived. He was disorganized but finally got started. He got the first two up. Then discovered he didn’t have all his materials to finish the job. What a professional! Finally got the job finished, and the NEXTDAY I had an invoice in the mail demanding the remaining 10%. No concession or adjustment for all their screw ups. Not even an apology. But even though they couldn’t communicate with me or do anything on time for me, they sure got that bill out fast. This was so disappointing that I will make sure I tell others about this experience. BESMART. JUSTDON’T USETHISCOMPANY.

My contractor used iris as a sub for motorized shades and they turned out perfectly. I was not involved in the customer service or timeliness aspects of this deal. Then later when the contractor was done with the job, I asked iris to come back to do some of my smaller bedroom shades. The gentleman with the samples book and measurements was nice and responsive. He told me that the shades would take 2 to 3 weeks. I called him back two weeks later with a technical question and I discovered, to my dismay, that he hadn’t yet ordered the shades. To his credit, he said that he had been waiting to hear from me to finalize before ordering. Nonetheless it was disappointing. When the blinds finally came, two of them were the wrong color, one was an inch too long. The installer noticed the inch too long and said they could either cut or remake it. When I called the next day to report the wrong color, I left a message and didn’t respond. When I called to follow up, I was told«the paperwork has been put in.» I’m still waiting for the next step. Overall would not necessarily recommend, but I will say the quality of the shades we do have is nice.

We chose Iris Window Coverings for this project as they installed sun shades in our living room several years ago. That experience was good and we were hoping for a similar experience with installing black out shades in our baby’s room. Sadly this was the worst experience of its kind that we had. Their representative came to measure the windows and sent us estimate. Some time later I emailed him indicating that we would like to proceed with the project. In the middle of discussing details of installation this gentlemen disappeared for a week, with email and voice mails going unanswered. Eventually I received auto-response to one of these emails with a different contact. Another few weeks went by when the representative came by to do the final measurement. It was specified clearly both verbally and in writing that the product we ordered was black out shades. He mentioned that it would take 2 weeks to make the blinds with installation to follow. Three weeks later we were called with installation appointment. Not only the installers did not show up at scheduled time, nobody bothered to email or call indicating that they were running late or were unable to come. 3 hours later I received an email from their Scheduling and Dispatch manager saying that the installer got sick and would not be able to come. I responded with alternate times and pointed out the dissatisfactory experience with the company. A few hours later the manager called me again and said that he was able to find installers who would come in 20 minutes. About an hour later the installers came by and installed the new window shades. To our dismay these ended up being sun shades and not black out shades that we ordered. In summary, bad customer service and sloppy order handling. Not recommended.
