Landing Auto Service is a great place to bring your car for repairs. Family atmosphere with a super friendly staff. The owners, Kevin and Mollie, where outstanding people to deal with.
My Kia Sedona lost a bolt that held a pulley and belt. In an emergency unscheduled visit, I limped my van into their lot and Kevin had the size of my missing bolt in his shop. His crew fixed my van almost instantly. No hassles, no huge $$$, plus with the greatest & friendliest service ever… i thought i was in the Twilight Zone… it was almost to good to be true. Afterwards, I immediately scheduled my van for front breaks, something i had put off because bad experiences with car repair mechanics. I now also bring my Nissan 350Z to Landing Auto Service as well. They have done such fine work and you get this level of comfort from the fairness and honesty the people at Landing Auto Service provide. I recommend them to everyone I know now when car repair is talked about. Hope they stay forever!!!

I have brought my cars here for a few years and truly appreciate the quick and honest work they do. I was referred to them by someone at work and know they have a good reputation with many other people here at work as being Good, Honest, and Knowledgeable auto service provider. Just to let you know that i have probably experienced at least 8 other service shops in Renton and had horrible and expensive experiences. The Landing is the best shop in Renton!

They never let me down! After fixing the brakes on one daughter’s car, they noticed during their 57 point inspection on my other daughter’s car that she was near metal to metal as well! I had them take care of her car too! Why? Because I trust them without question!
On top of that, my son’s car blew a water pump the evening before and all I had to do was tow it there with my truck and they handled everything! This family is one big happy customer!

Kevin was wonderful. Got us in with a emergency repair and fixed my wife’s brakes on her truck within the quoted price. I will go back again. They even gave me a ride back home. :)

Great service! They fixed my heater and a/​c which was not blowing air at all. Had it done the same day and were awesome people to deal with. Also price was more affordable than other shops I have dealt with in the past.

These guys did an amazing job repairing my 2000 Honda Prelude and I plan to bring my car back to them for any future maintenance or repairs. They diagnosed the initial issue and then made sure to call about anything else they found– and the things they found were items I already knew needed repair but had forgotten to tell them during the initial estimate, so I know they weren’t just making up stuff to fix. I’m so glad I found these guys on Unilocal.Great service and I wound recommend them to anyone.

My scion was making some sort of whining noise while idling and I consulted with a few acquaintances but they couldn’t really figure out what the issue was. So I decided to just suck it up and take it to an auto repair shop. As a premise I must say I DO NOT trust most auto repair shops because in the past I’ve been taken advantage of a couple of times and ended up spending too much than what was really necessary. So I always have my suspicion.
Anyways, before I reached Landing auto repair I called multiple places like Gregs, Toyota, etc. And they need to run a full diagnostic test to see what was really going on. The costs for this ranged from $ 150-​$ 250. With the Landing Auto Repair, Kevin and Mollie were very accommodating. The estimate cost me only $ 60 and Kevin had me listen to where the noise was actually coming from. They gave me the quote right on the spot and I trusted both Mollie and Kevins knowledge. They were able to schedule me 2 days later and the price was very very reasonable. Also, they gave back the cost of the estimate for choosing their service! Before you choose other scandalous auto repair shops I highly recommend to go to them first. I know this is a pretty lengthy review but they deserve all the credit.

I was looking for an auto mechanic and decided to check Unilocal.There are some things in life you want to get right the first time, like finding a good doctor, dentist and auto mechanic. Kevin and his team at Landing Auto Service are fantastic. They keep my ten year old Honda in perfect running condition. Kevin is a master mechanic and he really knows his stuff. He runs an honest business and I’m happy to offer the highest recommendation for him and his staff. Kevin did great work on my 2005 Toyota 4Runner. AC wasn’t blowing very cold and compressor was making some noise. They got me in same day and diagnosed that the freon was low and nothing wrong with the compressor within a couple hours! I now have freezing cold AC on one of the hottest days of the year. He also let me know about another issue he noticed and gave me a price quote on it. Highly recommended, very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Kevin is Lexus and Toyota ASE Certified as well. Price wasn’t too bad either.

I came to Landing Auto Service based on its good Unilocal reviews. Gladly, they did not disappoint and did a great job on my car. They specialize in Japanese cars, especially Toyota and Lexus, since the technician master has had decades of experience at both Toyota and Lexus dealerships.
I brought my car in to check on this whirling noise that seemed to come from the engine whenever I step on the gas. Kevin, the technician master, examined my car and came to a conclusion that the water pump in engine had a bad bearing and needed to be replaced. They quoted me a price that was reasonable because before deciding to have it fixed here, I have made a few calls to other mechanics asking for the same quote, and they were either similar or more than what Landing Auto Service quoted me. After the new water pump was installed, the whirling noise was gone and I was happy.
Right after the car was fixed, I left town for two weeks so the car was just sitting in the garage. When I came back after two weeks’ time, I noticed a squealing sound upon ignition. I made a call to Landing Auto Service telling them about the problem. They said to come in and they will take a look at it that afternoon. Kevin knew exactly what was going on. He said that the Serpentine belt that he installed might have been a little loose so that he will adjust it. It took less than 10 minutes and the noise was gone. My car runs smoothly now again thanks to Landing Auto Service!

I will definitely try Landing again. I called in to get a quote for a replacement headlight. When I called in later that afternoon, they were still able to squeeze me in that day. The work was done efficiently, and everything looked great. Don’t feel like I was ripped off as I had checked into pricing elsewhere. Location was great too.

OK, I was tired of going to the Big Guys at the dealership. They’d done a good job in the past but when they sold to a big national chain, I definitely noticed they seemed to be coming up with a lot more «recommended» work with the vague idea that something could go terribly wrong if we did not get it fixed. But I am not here to bad mouth anyone… I am here to Good Mouth Landing Auto Service.
I was in the market for a new regular shop to have our Toyota Highlander maintained at and I feel like I struck gold. Molly at the front desk was not only super friendly, but very knowledgeable. Her Husband Kevin seems to LOVE working on Toyotas and he did everything ours needed (and more) and did it with loving care. Now not to give you the impression that this is a two person operation, it’s not. They have a number of mechanics, but that was the «team» that helped us. We had a few things that needed to be done in addition to the tune up and oil change, battery, replacing a headlight which had for some reason become unsealed and had moister inside causing it to, after some time, begin to fail. I have NEVER seen anyone take so much care in every little detail. also the price… don’t expect to get gouged here. It is very reasonable. If you are looking for a good gouging there are plenty of other places you should try. Molly called all over to get us a new headlight at a reasonable price (because they can be pretty expensive and it is a sort of unusual repair as they don’t often fail this way)
Even after we paid and were ready to leave, Kevin was out by the car and would not let me go walked me through a few other things they did. He truly seemed to love working on it. Nice to see a professional with such pride in his work. Reminded me a bit of Jerry Seinfeld’s Mechanic who loved Jerry’s BMW and treated it like a special baby, Only Kevin will probably not become crazy and try to liberate the car from a bad owner (Never mind, you had to have seen the episode)
We’ve found a new home for car repairs and if anyone is looking for a local, friendly, reasonable price with top quality work. This will make you happy too.

You always give real peace of mind in no time. Excellent service along with genuine charges, very hard to find anywhere else. Everybody else focusing on meeting their franchise targets and making money telling lies and ripping customer’s money but you focus on true customer satisfaction with a truthful charges for your unmatched services. You know cars better than anyone else, you treat your customers by stepping into their shoes. I bet if I would have been gone to anyone else, he would have been charged me for 5 extra things before getting it to the point and fixing the root cause of the problem. You reach to the root of the problem in the first shot and fix that without misleading the customers. You deserve 5 start again * * * * * thank you.

The only place I’ll be taking my car to from now on to get repairs ! They DONT try and rip you off like 90% of other mechanics. I’ve had bad experience in the past with other places. They’re honest and very decent priced.

These folks are great! They do great work for a reasonable price.
Looking for a new mechanic about 6 months ago was so stressful — you just never know what you’re getting yourself into. They are knowledgeable and explain things fully.
Definitely the place to go!

This place is different. I went in for brake inspection and Kevin told me it was all good! Plus he rotated my tires for me!
… For free!!! And he gave me so much info on brakes plus how much it would cost for the future.
I’m coming back here if my car needs anything. Kevin was very nice and patient with my questions.

UPDATE: Never mind the above. It looks like when the pressure is on, the seams burst.
I took my car in to have them do an inspection and fix everything. (Going on a road trip.)
The found problems with the front end, and I okayed the repairs. ($ 1800.00).
They sent it out for an alignment, which they never told me they were going to do. They sent it to a place I would never take my vehicle having had bad experiences there. (Firestone). Surprisingly, the alignment was goofy. I took it back to Landing and they said they would align it wherever I liked. Les Schwab, please.
Les Schwab said they couldn’t align it properly because there were bad parts in the front end (still). Landing came to Les Schwab and looked over what the mechanics at Les were talking about. They told me that the parts were bad. (On was a wheel bearing. They missed a bad wheel bearing.)
I asked if the parts were bad. Landing said «Yes.»
I asked if they missed it on their inspection. They said «Yes.»
I asked if they were going to take any responsibility whatsoever.
Here is where they had the chance to go for gold, or come in last.
He said «Nope.» and turned and walked away.
The Les Schwab manager saw and overheard all of this, and he replaced those parts for no labor. The cost of the parts only.
It took about an hour. Landing could have simply said «Yup, we missed it so we’ll replace those for the cost of the parts.» But they didn’t. For about an hours labor they threw all their goodwill down the toilet.
I’ve spent over $ 4000.00 there on this vehicle, and had planned on taking in others.
No longer.
Am now in the market for another shop that I can depend on.

Without a doubt the best auto repair shop I have ever been to. The people there are honest and work hard to find affordable solutions. They give you a list of what should be done to get your car to it’s best running condition, but then tell you what has to be done now and what items can be put off until later.
Kevin, the owner and head mechanic, knows Toyota and Lexus inside out, and has taken great care of my aging Toyota Avalon. Don’t think that they only deal with imports, as they have also done a great job with my husband’s PT Cruiser.
This is the kind of shop our parents relied on. A Neighborhood business that really seems to care about the people in the community they work for.

These guys are great! Not only are they super nice & do honest work but they’ll even have it done when they say it will be done. No jerking you around & no trying to get you to fix things that probably dont need to be fixed.
I took my Chrysler 300 in to have both control arms replaced which is not a quick or easy fix & they had it done by the end of the same day! Its a miracle!
I’m happy to have finally found a shop I can rely on.
