Kimora Lee Hair is on point with creativity and styling. She’s my go-​to for all my hair needs. She’s flexible with her schedule, responsive, personable, and always has new ideas. I had her dye my hair for the first time in 10 years and I was thrilled with the results. I can’t wait for my next appointment with her!

I had been looking for a cut and color opportunity for a while, and found New Lookz in my search. When I called, they were very casual and immediately handed the phone over to the stylist available, Mimi. She asked me to send her a photo of my hair, and she gave me a consultation right on the phone. Our appointment was on the next Sunday.
When I got there, I arrived 15 minutes early to a shop that looked completely closed. No lights, no people, nothing. I waited and waited and finally called the salon. The man who answered apparently uses the shop number as his personal cell, but he helped me out and called Mimi. He called back right away and told me she was almost there, and if I knocked on the door I would be let in.
Once Mimi got there, she got right to work. I ultimately loved the color and cut she did, and for much less than I expected. If you are looking for a casual family business, this is a great place. But if you are looking for upscale professionalism, this is not the place for you.

New Lookz is a great family friendly salon. I was in desperate need of a stylist (for relaxers) when I moved here from Florida two years ago. I tried a few places but either the stylist, the environment or both weren’t up to par. New Lookz solved all my problems.
There is always a friendly greeting when you walk through the door and never any extensive wait times. The salon is nicely decorated and always clean. The stylists are very kind even if you’re not their specific client. Any one of them will offer you water, cereal bars and the like to ensure you’re comfortable. They also do their job well. They determine what the client wants and always go above and beyond to honor those wishes, leaving the client with fabulous (for lack of a better word) hair.
My hairstylist Memee is a God send and I can honestly say my hair is healthier now than it has ever been. I always get compliments on it. My husband gets great haircuts from the owner, Lenny. Not only do we always have good looking hair, but we are always able to get our hair done when we need to. Both Lenny and Memee will get to the shop early or work late so that we can get our hair done before a flight or special event. Flexible stylists are a must for us! (I imagine the other stylists there will do the same.)
We also get great recommendations on restaurants, parks and events in the area. We discovered some of our favorite places by simply asking the New Lookz stylists for their suggestions. All in all, I love this salon. When my daughter is old enough, this will definitely be her salon as well. For the best experience I suggest you book an appointment in advance. They’ll do their best to accommodate walk ins but I’ve observed that they really pride themselves in not having clients wait too long for services.
I’m glad that we found a salon where we’re treated like family!

After coming here the first time, and a second time I will say that the people here are really kind and caring for your hair. They really focus on natural hair, and have specialized and very educated staff that will give you awesome tips in hair care. I was seen by Ashanti, and second Keisha. These two really made my hair feel and look great and after leaving their chair I felt really great about my look. You never have to wait, and in most cases they will even get you in at last minute if you need that cute look for a night on the town.
The Salon itself is really clean and neat, it really feels like a salon you can spend time in. The owner does work at the shop, and as soon as you enter he welcomes you like your part of the family. He picks up your name and never forgets, this is what I really like about this shop is that you never feel like you are an outcast.
They have music and TV to watch, however, they really need a snack section. I mean sometimes you just get hungry and when getting your hair done you really want something to snack on. Once they obtain a snack section this is easily a 6-​star establishment.
Oh and their prices are really great here, I never have to worry about breaking the bank just to have a great look.

After spending 4 hours getting a twist out only to leave with a ponytail. I will never go back. I had dye stained all over my face and neck and they didn’t even say anything. I noticed it when I got in my car. Smh I think they should stick to doing men’s hair

Made an appointment last week and showed up to an empty salon. Called the stylist and she didn’t seem to remember that we had an appointment. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Amazing spot to get a clean cut, new up due, congregate (with class of course) and network. I haven’t been to a more «note worthy» establishment! I’ve been a faithfull customer for at least 10months and I can comfortably say that you won’t find a better place for all your cosmetic needs! OHH AND I can NOT forget the facials… Borderline orgasmic! Hands down, toes curled up and knocked out! Lol! Go see for yourself!

I love this place. I’ve been there a few times for haircuts and it’s always a relaxed atmosphere. Staff are nice to talk to, sometimes there are barbecues happening and they’ll even accommodate your music choice, if you have one. To top it all off I’ve never had to wait. Simply set your appointment, get in and get out.

This is definitely the première hair salon of Washington. Step into there relaxing atmosphere free of judgment. There is always more than one person to greet you when your walking in. There is a very plush upscale and urban feel to the décor. There are refreshments available upon request. On any giving day you can find uplifting gospel music playing or relaxing jazz tunes in the background. This place is very kids friendly as well. I have two small children whom I have brought with me on many of occasions to get my hair done and they are always welcome and comfortable. I get my hair done by Ericka Childs, who has been doing my hair for over 6 years now. She is professional and talented. She has grown 4 inches of my hair since she has encouraged me to go chemical free. She can do anything from weaving, to coloring, twist for dreads for men and women. She also provides a comfortable facial massage. Ericka Childs is awesome at educating the customer on hair care and products. This salon and spa is managed and owned by a gentlemen named Lennard who is always there to say hello with a big smile, even if he is busy working on one of his immaculate hair cut designs. I noticed on Facebook that one of my friends always had super cute hair and she referred me to her hairdresser at New Lookz. I’ve been seeing Ericka for almost a year now and can’t imagine having anyone else do my extensions! She is so nice and personable which makes getting my hair done fun, and she does an AMAZING job! Almost everyone I know can’t even tell I have extensions until after I tell them! I’m not planning on going to a different salon anytime soon because Ericka has been so awesome for me! Everyone else that works there is really fun and nice also. If you are looking to get extensions done in Renton, I couldn’t recommend Ericka enough!!! THANKS GIRL!

I live in Portland but, its worth the drive to get my hair done @New Lookz salon. Im being so serious when I swear up n down that Ive seen Ericka do miricles on ppl’s heads. My hair, is healthier, longer n thicker. The sew ins she does 4me look so natural n real that ppl dont question me if it’s mine or not. Thanks E!!! See you soon!

New Lookz is one of the best things about my family. Lenard, the owner/​barber, is a perfectionist when it comes to cutting hair. Everyone of the stylist provide a world class service to their clients and the community. Visit the salon, its completely worth it.
