St Stephen the Martyr

When we visit friends in Renton, Washington, we go to church at St. Stephen the Martyr. The church has a very spacious, relaxing, and inviting atmosphere. Unlike many churches, St. Stephen has a large parking lot so there is plenty of room.
Inside, they have something I have not seen at any other church. They have two projector screens facing the congregation. You can view either one of the screens from anywhere you sit in the church. You can sing along with the choir by reading the lyrics on the screens. They also use the screens to show other parts of the mass such as reading the responsorial psalm. It helps get more people involved in the mass. Great concept here!

I would say I’m a person that attends mass every single week, but isn’t ever active with any church’s event. I just go, do what I have to do, and leave. A friend took me here and thought I’d like it. I didn’t LIKE it, I fell heads over 4 inch heels in LOVE with it. It automatically feels like another dimension as soon as I enter the gates, like a peaceful dimension… maybe heaven on earth? It’s just a magical feeling.
The priest has an extremely humble personality. I’ve always thought going to church as a kid was boring until I got older and started actually listening to what the priests says when he lectures and the father here not only deliver a powerful message each time, but somehow adds spark to it so I don’t fall asleep.
My absolutely favorite part of St Stephen the Martyr is the projector screen with lyrics. I’m bad at hearing so this helps me clearly take in each word being sang. It’s a shame that I have to alternate between this church and another one because of my crazy different work schedule each week, both are fantastic places, but I usually make this my first choice when I have the option to.

This was my church while growing up – we first attended at the local high school with mass held in the bleachers while the church was being built.
The interior is quite peaceful, and also very large. The gardens are well landscaped. The parking lot is huge. Most of the people that go here are quite nice. They had good classes for teens held nearby. Deacon Marshall Denby helped us with our pre-​marriage classes.
They have a good band with guitar and good vocals.
The basement is used for events with a terrific catering guild.

I don’t go to church often which I know I should do more of but we came here for our friends son’s baptismal and it was pretty nice.
For starters this place is surrounded by trees n has a nice scenery and the parking lot is huge. As soon as u walk in there’s a huge fountain that I thought was just for looks but apparently is the holy water that u use to bless urself as u enter/exit…a little different from when I was younger when all they had was a little bowl full of water attached to a pillar by the door.
This place is alright but it’s just a little bit far cuz I live in Kirkland n I also wouldn’t mind the service being a little updated n not so old school… not sure if that makes any sense.

I am not at all picky where I go to church to pray – I do love going to this particular church.
When you drive in, it takes you through some greenery and opens up to the church with big ample parking. Inside is very nice clean and spacious, but the best of all — — an amazing musical staff!
I love music and I was super impressed and pleasantly surprised by the quality of music at this church. The gentleman that does most of the lead vocals sings wonderfully while playing his guitar, it’s quite moving. You have to check it out to see for yourself. The sound system is very clear as well so you won’t miss a word anyone sings or says.
They also have two big HUGE screens where the lyrics are projected to so it’s very easy to sing along without a hymm book, so you’ll see almost everyone singing praises. They also use it for phrases to follow along like the responsorial psalm in order to absorb every word.
