Top Fade Barber Shop

The place was a dirty, smelly place. The wait was over an hour and smelt like all kinds of drugs.

I went here for my toddler son’s haircut after driving by and checking the Unilocal reviews… Either the reviewers are all friends of the barbers or there is one bad apple and I happened to pick it.
I’m a first time mother with no clue about clipper or barber techniques so I’m pretty uneducated about how a haircut and trim is supposed to go down but when I got home, my husband unleashed about how sh***ty my son’s hair looked!
The top is super uneven in length, the fade is all over the place, cutting way up into his cowlick in the back, the front is just all wrong around his face.
Barber was the tatted up Asian dude and I am pissed that my kid has a whack cut 2 days before his birthday party!
Thankfully my son is gorgeous and he’s making the silly haircut look halfway decent (and it’s just hair, will grow back)
Perhaps the other barbers provide a «Top Fade» like in all the photos plastered on the exterior and interior of this barber shop, but I got a «Bottom Chop Job»

My friend had recommended me this place. So I decided to check this place out and I’ll will be most definitely coming back. They take their time and they do a wonderful job on designs. And everyone in the shop was really nice.

Choose this barbershop based on reviews and i was glad that i did. The shop was in an odd location but was clean and presentable, every barber was actually cutting hair vs. talking on their cell phones, etc. Walked in and got a great cut right away and the price was reasonable as well.

What can I say good, about a shop, that has not been said, already. The shop is the best south of King county. In fact, one can argue best in all King county. The barbers take pride in their fade game. But here’s what makes this spot PERFECT. Nick the barber does straight razor shaves. And does them well! Not only will you come out with a good fade (taper, line up) but come out lookin’ FRESH! Big up’s to Nick, and the rest of the crew at Top Fade. You will not be disappointed.

Carlos did a nice job trimming and shaping up my beard. I’ll definitely be back.

I’m a very anal person when it comes to my fades and these guys always deliver. Not only do they get the job done right but they get it done in a timely manner. If you haven’t been here yet you are definitely missing out.

I try to get this done earlier but just didn’t had a chance. These guys are just incredible and kids safe. They really take efforts to give you best service with a smile. I would definitely recommend the over and over

First time in here after hearing from my brother recommending it and reading Unilocal reviews. I was greeted right away by Boun, he was real nice and easy going. I didn’t have to wait either, i was in and out there in about 30 – 40 minutes which was a plus because my old barber even scheduled i would end up there waiting and sometimes up to 20 – 30 minutes after my scheduled time. I was a little nervous going to a new barber, I am usually pretty picky about who i let cut my hair. Boun seemed really confident when I told him what i wanted which made me feel more at ease. After he cut my hair i was real happy with the results, it was exactly what i wanted. I will for sure be returning here for my future cuts and recommend it to anyone needing a good barber!

The very first barbershop I went to here in Washington. I’m pretty loyal to barbers but I needed a to find a new barbershop ASAP since moving here from LA. Shout out to ya boy Boun who gave me a really good cut. I got a 2 all around and a taper on the sides and back. Lined up my beard too. Parking lot is small and can get filled quik when it’s busy. I didn’t make an appointment, just walked in and got a cut. I did have to wait for about 20 mins which really wasn’t a long time. Definitely will be coming back.
Oh and my cut was like 23 dollars, not too pricey.

First time in after a friend recommended it, and now I can see why. The guys in there seriously know what they’re doing. They cut my hair exactly as I wanted it even though I wasn’t sure how to describe the kind of cut I wanted (I walked in with more of an idea than a road map). In and out in about 20 minutes, yet I didn’t feel rushed at all. I went in at 1:00 p.m. On a Thursday, so I don’t know how busy it is on the weekend.
Needless to say, I’ll definitely be back

I had my little boy haircut by Boun he is the best definitely skilled. He takes his time and make sure everything is perfect before you leave. He’s capable of using scissors your not a real barber if you don’t know how to cut hair with scissors enough said. My husband also got his haircut by one of the barbers can’t remember his name and it turned out nice clean lines. Give them a try you won’t regret it! Don’t forget to bring cash since its cash only!

I visited Top Fade for the first time today and I was beyond impressed. The entire staff was friendly and awesome. Josh saved the day for me after visiting a barber earlier in the morning that messed up my hair. They are down to earth awesome people that know how to do their job. this is my new official babershop!

My first time there and I requested kind of a challenging cut by the time he give me a mirror to check it out I was surprised!
Spot on what I wanted and you can’t beat the price anywhere for the work they do.
I definitely will be going back from here on out.

I have officially found my new Barber! This place on first appearance seems like an old beat up house and seems sketchy at first.
When I walked in I was warmly greeted by all the guys there and felt at home. The wait was short and they really know there stuff. My barber was able to do everything I asked and they also do a straight razor shave for your neck and hard part if desired.
As far as cost I payed $ 18 and feel it’s worth ever penny.

I found this place through Unilocal,and was impressed with the great reviews. I needed to find a great barbershop and I did. It’s a nice little place with three chairs and three barbers. Boun, who is the owner. Lannon. And Josh, the «Golden Boy».
When I walked in, Lannon was the only one there, and he was working on a client. So I took a seat to wait my turn. As I was waiting, Boun came in. From what I gathered, a regular customer called him up for a haircut for her son, and he rushed in. That’s great service!
When Lannon finished up, it was my turn. I sat down and showed him a picture from the reviews and said that i wanted the same done, which was a fade, with my part cut in, and for my beard to get shaped (Thank you Charlie H.!). He then went to work. He took his time to make sure everything was done right, but was still quick and efficient. When he finished, I looked in the mirror and was very impressed. This was by far the BEST haircut I’ve had. I thanked him and went to pay. I told Boun’s wife (she rang up the sale) to add $ 10 for a tip. I thanked them again, they thanked me and wished me a Happy New Year, and gave me some cards to give out.
I am so glad I found this place to get my haircut. I can’t imagine going anywhere else, now that I’ve had the best. Haha. If I could give more stars, I would.

Got to apologize to the Top Fade Shop and team. The last review was all emotion. Got a couple cuts since then and Boun has been hooking it up. I appreciate them still opening their doors and providing great service. Wish I can delete the last review. Good spot to go on Renton.

Just moved to the pacific north west from philly. Been looking for a barber. I got lucky. First haircut I get is perfect. Josh hooked me up with tight fade. Shaped my beard and cut my part in. Nothing is better than a good haircut. This is a talented shop. So stop wasting your time at supercuts and go get a haircut where they take their time and make you look right.

I made my first visit to this barbershop today at 2:00pm. My overall experience was great and the haircut I received was amazing. The guys that work here are very, very good at what they do. If you like quality haircuts done by meticulous, patient, and professional barbers this is definitely the place for you. The barbers take the time to make you look good.
I made the mistake of not knowing about these guys sooner rather than later don’t let the same happen to you!

My usual barber was fully booked, so I had to find another barber close to my work, since my hair was looking out of control. Im always nervous going to a new barber in fear they will totally mess up my haircut.
After looking at different reviews, I chose Top Fade Barbershop and Im glad I did! Boun, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. I asked for a shadow fade to a scissors cut trim on top. He knew exactly what I was talking about! After about 25 minutes, he passed me the mirror and told me to take a look. I was extremely happy with my haircut since it was just as good as my usual barber. Fade was very clean and just the right height, not too high or low.
Boun even finishes up his line ups with a straight razor, something a true barbershop should always do! He even vacuumed up my head and collar of my shirt, great service!
Haircut was $ 18. Tipped him a $ 5 and walked out a happy customer. In addition, he informed me that he does not take appointments, but rather walk-​ins, so try going during the work week to avoid long waits.
