In need of travel vaccinations, I came across Passport Health — a company that specializes in consultation and administration. They have several locations in the Triangle, and also came recommended by friends of ours. My biggest issue was trying to get in touch with them. I first tried calling several times, but there was no answer. I left a voicemail after my third attempt, and received a call back at 5pm(their closing time). I was not able to get to my phone before it turned over to voicemail. Upon seeing the missed call was Passport Health, I immediately called back — only to once again not have anyone pick up the phone. I called the following day and left a voicemail which went unreturned for two days. So I called AGAIN — and this time, miraculously, someone answered the phone and I was able to schedule an appointment for the following week. I was directed to an online portal where I could enter information about my health, medications, travel plans, etc. This saves time in the office, and allows PH to research recommended vaccines and precautions in advance of your visit — all of which are conveniently compiled into a spiral bound booklet for you to take home. The office is quite small — a sitting room and then the nurse’s office. I believe she runs the whole operation. She was very pleasant(a nice calm speaking voice!) and thorough with the information. She had visuals ready to pull up on her computer, to demonstrate density of disease in specific regions, etc. I received four vaccinations and two prescriptions, all of which were handled courteously and professionally, and even followed up with a piece of chocolate! I got a stamped immunization travel booklet, and was on my way in under an hour. Note: they do not accept insurance.
