My wife and I moved to Agoura Hills from North Carolina and as an older Afro American the very first thing I wanted to secure was a barber. I’m extremely particular about that. Well it took me a while but I finally found a barbershop that represents the new school as well as the old school minus the profanity and loud music. I met the owner Gene and he has been my barber ever since. I can appreciate the atmosphere and most importantly the barbers can cut.

Worst service ever! I called ahead of time for an appointment at 12. The guy that answered said on and booked me. I came in 5 minutes early didn’t get acknowledge. Finally after 20 minutes of waiting I had to tell him I’m on a time crunch and he was taking his sweet time with his current client, didn’t even care that I left the shop. Was looking for a new barbershop, you just lost a potential permanent client

Came here at 8:15 since it says they open at 8am. The guy said he’s cleaning and will not start until 9. So why wouldn’t you change your working hours so people can know? Lost my time and didn’t get what I came for. Very unprofessional customer service (hope they are better at barbering)

I was a walk in to the shop and Gene helped me out. Did an amazing job! To date is the cleanest and best comb over I’ve had! I am new to the area and have found my new barber for sure! He is very friendly and the overall vibe and atmosphere of the barbershop is welcoming.

I just left this place with my son. I am writing this review as I feel obligated due to the exceptional service we just received! I am impressed by the atmosphere. The place is clean inside & we didn’t have to listen to foul language or anything crazy. Gene gave my son sound advice & was helpful~the good reviews are accurate! We will be repeat customers.

I just got a low fade with some hair thinning and trimming done here. I went with Gene the owner because of all the good reviews. He gave me a very clean fade, good conversation, and some tips on how to make it in LA, all within about 35 minutes. The shop is beautiful and there are plenty of good barbers!

Gene was extremely friendly and professional. We chatted about various things and he made sure I was comfortable. Even though I was not completely sure about what I wanted, he figured it out and gave me a perfect cut and a shave.
Will definitely be going back there again. I recommend that you make an appointment and arrive on time.
There is street parking and if you do not want to pay there is free street parking on Hart St.

I went here yesterday to get my hair faded. Skip helped me out and was attentive and patient to my requests. He washed it and put pomade (wish I knew the brand) too. I left feeling sharp which is always a sign of a good cut. The atmosphere is great and had 6 TVs to watch the game too which was a plus. Definitely a place to come back to!

I went here a few weeks back because I was desperately in need of a cut as my hair was very shaggy and I had to look presentable for my job the next day. All I wanted was a simple fade with a short combover on top. The fade was superb. The combover was pitiful. It wasn’t even a combover. It was more of a hack job. I think I could have done a better job with a weed whacker while blindfolded. It was so terrible that I went home and shaved my head. Or buzzed it I should say. I’m very mad I even paid for disaster.
The guy was nice though. So I guess that’s a positive.

I found this place on Unilocal and decided to try it out. I was greeted by the owner Gene when I walked in the shop. He did a great job, was very professional and we had a good conversation. I will definitely be coming back!

Just recently moved into the area and couldn’t find a barber that is open past 7. Stumbled across this hidden gem by just driving by. Needless to say, this place is awesome. Skip took care of me and knew exactley how I wanted my hair cut and did an awesome job at that! Kudos to Skip for staying late with me even though I showed up kinda last minute. Sorry! I highly recommend this shop if you’re ever in the area.

I have to give much love to my new barber, and owner Gene. I grew up in midwest and moved here from the east coast. I called the day prior and made an appt for my 40^th bday cut, immediately i felt like family. I was right in and was treated to the best professional hospitality. It took me back in the day when men were about their word n buisness. Got the best fade in over 10 years, not pricey either. Felt right at home in the clean atmosphere of the shop. If you want a real barbershop in the valley with no drama, this is your spot. I will definately be coming back, and i am picky. Thank you for making my 40 look so fresh n clean. Nate Moody

Haircut prices are $ 15 for men. There’s only meter parking as others have mentioned on Reseda.
The first time I went here I got a haircut from the owner. The haircut was good and the owner was pleasant.
A month later I came back to get another haircut. This time I got a cut from the barber who just moved here from Houston. I’m not sure if he is doesn’t have a lot of experience cutting Caucasian hair or what, but he ended up spending a really long time on my fade (30 minutes, yes I timed it) and maybe 5 – 10 minutes on the hair on my head.
This second haircut was not too bad, but the real downside is that I got really bad razor burn on my neck. I’m attaching a picture. I think he took wayyy to long on my fade and went over my neck area multiple times which was not needed. My typical haircuts are 20 minutes and under.
If you go here, get a cut from the owner, otherwise it may not be worthwhile.

Been coming here since I moved to LA and my son too! Actually I’ve been following Big Jon and he’s been here at the head quarters since it opened. I send all my friends here ! Ask for Jon and U won’t be disappointed!

Searched for a new barbershop today and went here for the first time with my buddy. I got my hair cut by the owner, Gene. First impression of this place is spacious, clean, a nice atmosphere, and the music was appropriate. I decided to get a taper cut with a shadow fade. Gene was cool and kept a good conversation going. He spent about 40 – 45 minutes on my hair and did a really good job. My friend also really liked his cut. I believe I found my new barbershop and I’ll be recommending this place to my friends!
***Note to anyone using the Unilocal phone app to find this place*** The address is correct, but when I clicked on the map it took us to the wrong location (Sherman Way and Amigo Ave). But the correct location is just around the corner on Reseda Blvd just south of Sherman Way.

First time taking my son here for a haircut. Recommended by Unilocal of course! Shop is welcoming and very clean. There are 6 TVs and a chess table– a little something to keep you occupied while waiting.
Gene is kind, professional and talented. My son wanted a shadow fade with a #2 on top and Gene did a fantastic job.
Parking is on Reseda Blvd. so be sure to bring coins for the meter.

Update: Margarita is extremely talented as well. My son is very happy with the results from her.

Gotta have more than 2 barbers on a Saturday morning. I don’t mind waiting but not because you’re under staffed.
Barbers make their own schedule but dang, gotta find a way to have a staff after 10am.
Hate to come across any kind of way so 4 stars out of respect and for a good cut but place was busy and folks walked out. A shame cuz this is a solid spot.
I’ll be back though!
