Description Of Work: Ben of Nofar Construction, Inc and I entered into a contract dated 3÷18÷13 to redo my condo in 45 days. It is now Sept 6,2013 and my job is still not complete. Ben has repeatedly lied about what is being done. Ben does not answer his phone and does not return my calls. On several occasions, Ben yelled and screamed at me and spoke to me in a very condescending manor. .I have not had anyone doing work in my home since the end of June. Ben also, on several occasions, insisted upon payments, some of which were included in the contract but he was charging extra for them, or things that he decided to do but I did not authorize and he was making me pay for, or he would not send his crew to finish. Member Comments: March 18th, I signed a contract with Nofar Construction, Inc. to redo my condo in 45 days. I needed everything done when I moved as I have physical problems and needed this to go smoothly. I moved in May 4, 2013 and had to live through construction, dirt & dust. Only the boxes for my cabinets were in, my kitchen appliances had to sit in my living room for a month before they could be installed. I could not use my master bath as it was not complete. The inside of my closet was installed incorrectly and not completely so I had to have it removed June 10th and bring in a closet company so that I could unpack my clothes. More expense to me. I could not begin to unpack or set up my furniture until mid June. As of June7th, the only thing left is the doors, drawer front etc. for my cabinetry. In these past months, Ben has not returned my phone calls, but when he does, he keeps telling me that the doors are ready but no one has come to install. Liz, Ben’s wife, works in the office. I was speaking with her for a while but then she stopped returning my calls and I was told that I can only speak to Ben. I have tried to contact Victor(the cabinet maker) but he has a cell phone he will not answer and does not have voice mail. I found out that since June, Victor has started another job and has not worked on my cabinets because Ben has not paid him.. July 11 Ben tells me that another manufacture is making the doors, but they were cut wrong and have to be redone. Ben keeps telling my that the doors are being primed, sanded, painted, etc, and that Victor has some of them ready for me. I ask to go to see my doors and was told that I am not allowed to go to the shop to see my doors. August 28, I go to victor’s shop… there are no doors. He never made any because Ben never paid him. I gave Ben a time limit to get some of the things installed or I would be done with this. He did not deliver and continued to not return my calls. Sept 4, 2013, I went to his office to pick up my keys and terminate the contract. I now have to get another cabinet maker in to finish my job. I recommend that you do not use this contractor.

Do not use this company! The contract stated that they would finish all work in 8 to 16 weeks, however, it took them 9 months and the job was never finished. They were good for the first month, but then there were some days when workers never showed up. Additionally, the price kept increasing as time went on. The owner was very unprofessional. We had to fire him due to the lack of unprofessionalism and broken promises on project completion. Furthermore, the work that was completed is not of great quality. The walls already have cracks. This company will promise you everything at the beginning, including a great price. Unfortunately, you will get what you pay for… crappy service, work and an overall poor experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Our experience was very negative. Unfortunately so many issues we had we could never recommend. Yes It was this Nofar company we had do our job. I was unhappy with every aspect of the work including the communications, price increases and in my opinion not following the blue print plans and materials. This company is not for me. Nope!
