The Royal Gold Store

I began to write this review in 2013… and I never finished … I didn’t want to leave a bad review .now all my reviews are only good reviews and having benefited from reading both positive and negative reviews, I decided to post this old but honest review to prevent someone from making a mistake or wasting there time by going to this place if possible — there are so many other great gold buying stores out there… And there are gold buyers who do not take 60% or even more of the Gold Spot price! Here, the customer service was non-​existent it was as if I was bothering the man who sat behind bullet proof glass and the gentleman behind the glass was not nice. He said «what do you think everything that is gold color, is gold?» I presented him with jewelry that was stamped and he said It was plated — just by looking at it. The Royal Golds website claims to purchase jewelry, it’s my opinion they actually do not, they only want gold scrap. They offered $ 55 for 6 grams, saying gold prices are down. This was in 2013… Prices were not as low as they are now and for 6 grams one would expect $ 75 — $ 85 at the prices today (around $ 1,100 an ounce). My suggestion would be to avoid this place and try a top-​rated store here on Unilocal… there are business who will treat you fairly or even excellently so why bother with anything less?

I was recommended to Almaco Gold buyers by a friend of mine, and I am glad that I found this place. I went to about 4 – 5 places to sell my gold in los angeles county, and they offered me much more than I was offered at other places. I live in down town los angeles and made the commute to sell my gold at Almaco gold. They are great gold buyer in LA, I would definitely recommend my friends!

I created a Unilocal account just to post this review for my friends at Almaco Gold. I have now been a customer of Almaco for 6 months. And I have not but the best to say about this family owned business. They truly value customer service, and they have a passion for what they do. I know that there are hundreds of other «cash for gold» spots around town, but I like to think of Almaco Gold, the best kept secret in town, at least for now.
Bottom line, they have never disappointed me when I bring my gold. They always pay up front, in cash. I have been doing gold parties for a long time, and always am working with Almaco gold in selling my gold. They simply pay the most, and they are a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!
