Don’t even bother-not worth the trip if traveling from more than 20 miles away. If you’re looking for a quick baby gift… you might find something here. but not unique. Nordstroms is certainly better. No bling… no fun…

I was shocked at how little supply this store actually had! From the drool-worthy window displays with the highest-end children’s toys to the sheer size and prime location of the shop, I was expecting Cradle & Crayon to be the MECCA of Children & Baby stores in the DC Area. I am coming to it with New Yorker eyes, so granted I have seen the best of the best in children’s boutiques, but I think even if I didn’t live in NYC I would still be a little let down. Above all things children’s shops that SIZE should have is plenty of stock and plenty of options. Cradle & Crayon had a lot of clothing and gifty things, but as far as essentials– I was seeking to try out strollers and toddler car seats– it was way limited. Another negative– the website is horribly designed and has very little content, so I didn’t find it very helpful at all. :(Sorry, C&C. I was hoping to write a better review.

Very cute children’s boutique… but a WAY overpriced. Who would pay $ 78 for a baby onesie? Babies outgrow their clothes WAY too fast. More than likely if I spent that kind of money on a baby onesie for my son it would soon only be covered with a giant poop stain.

Off the main plaza, conveniently adjacent to a parking lot, you’ll find this lovely children’s boutique. In a relatively small space, the owners carry upscale items from infant booties and toys to clothing for kindergarteners, plus the occasional stroller or stuffed animal. It is a colorful, cheery shop; the kind of place you look for when you have a special child or a special event in mind.
