My wife(then fiancé) found the Dandelion Patch to handle our wedding invites. They worked with a specific supplier that she wanted to use and all went well until it came time to fill our order… We had over 300 invites and the consultants were great to work with and very professional. Their customer service was phenomenal in the beginning, but it clearly did not last nor come from the top down as we left extremely disappointed with TERRIBLE customer service by the owner by the end of our experience. It all started when we first were quoted about $ 600 to have our guests’ addresses printed on all of our invite envelopes. Our order was already over $ 3,500 and we decided that my wife could hand address all of the envelopes to save some money. Although we were working under a rather tight deadline, we decided that it simply wasn’t worth it. Since my wife was designing the invites herself, she was constantly reminded of our tight deadline so she was quick and got the designs to the Dandelion Patch so they could get them to the supplier for production. We paid for the order in full when the designs were submitted for production and were told that our invites should ship within 7 – 10 business days. With the tight deadline, my wife repeatedly called to inquire and the Dandelion Patch had no updates. Finally, after about 12 days with no news, she contacted the supplier directly and was told that there was an «owner delay» as they had not received payment from the Dandelion Patch. When all was said and done, our invites were a full week late costing us valuable time because the owner had not paid the supplier. We got in touch with the Dandelion Patch and confronted them about the issue. They were very apologetic and we understand that mistakes may happen. However, we were spending over $ 3K at their store and expected some sort of action to rectify the issue. I spoke with one of the consultants and asked if there was anything they could do for us with the address printing since our invites were a week late because of them(and likely would have been more than a week late had my wife not taken it upon herself to contact the supplier). It would help us make up some of the wasted time and get our invites out sooner. The consultant said she would speak with the owner, Heidi, and let me know. When the consultant called me back I expected that they would offer to cover the address printing at no charge… Instead they offered a 25% discount on the address printing which would still cost us $ 450. It was somewhat insulting since we had already decided against the service due to cost but needed it because of their mistake. I politely declined stating that it was still too much. The consultant must have spoken with Heidi again because she called me back and said«I spoke with our owner and she really wants to make this right…» I was thinking to myself, «Finally, they’ll agree to cover the cost of the printing to help us speed up getting our invites out.» Much to my dismay, the consultant finished her statement by saying, «We can offer a 40% discount.» I couldn’t believe it… This was still $ 360 that they wanted us to pay because of their mistake! In the end, we declined the service and my wife hand wrote all of the addresses as quickly as she could to get the invites in the mail. Believing we should give them one more chance to make it right and acknowledge the issue, my wife wrote an email explaining our ordeal and voicing our dissatisfaction. The email went unanswered and we received no reply. Again, very disappointed with the AWFUL customer service. Would strongly recommend searching elsewhere for your invitation needs.

Really terrible service if you need anything customized. My friend ordered something(and I have been with her on each trip to the store throughout the way.) She ordered a custom wooden serving board with initials printed on it. It was for a wedding she would attend in four weeks. The board was set to be done in three weeks. At the three week time frame we went in to check on the board and they did not have it. My friend showed up to the wedding without a gift in hand. She then was told it was not there. For two weeks she went to the dandelion patch, and called the dandelion patch to find out where the board was. Finally they told her that the company they get the boards from was no longer responding that they though they would not be able to get the board for her anymore and that she could be refunded. If they heard back from the company they said they would call her back to let her know. We were in town center a few weeks later and went in to see if the order was still active. It was active and they said the company had been having some internal issues and that they were now making the board. Great! we thought, however for another three weeks we waited for the board. Each week they would say it would be done, and it never was! Finally today she gets an email to go in and get the board. ITISTHEWRONGCOLORANDWRONGTEXTFONT. The employees really could not care less. It’s too bad. Dandelion patch has some very cute items, but if you want anything made there or need any help choose another specialty gift shop.

I had 2 friends who purchased their wedding invitations at a different Dandelion Patch. This location was more convenient for us however. I made an appointment for Sunday on the Friday before hand. Easy email conversation and was happy to get such a fast appointment. We got there and was met by the manager Randyl. She sat us down, explained a couple things about how they run these type of things and then asked us what we had in mind. At this point we just kind of stared at her. We didn’t really know how to express what we wanted, we just knew things we didn’t like. She wasn’t phased and showed us some books. She asked us some questions when we came across things that made us pause but otherwise just let us look. After a few books she declared she had an idea of what we were looking for based upon our comments and what we had paused on. She then brought us a book which had a couple invitations we just loved. My fiancée and I were super impressed by her ability to take the itsy-bitsy amount of info we had given her and directed us to perfect wedding invitations without us having to spend 3 hours in the store going through every single book. After that she drew us up a cost spreadsheet, told us about the discount for wanting to order so far ahead of the wedding, and then sent us on our way. I was impressed she didn’t try to pressure us into buying the invitations right then and there. We absolutely plan to go back and purchase the invitations she found for us as soon as we agree on how many we need. I highly recommend the Dandelion Patch and Randyl.

(Reposting my earlier review that was associated with the wrong address.) The location was a bit tricky to find — I expected it to be on another block by address, but I’m quite glad I eventually found it. While I have not used the Dandelion Patch for any sort of custom order, the store has a wonderful selection of cards from companies including Crane, William Arthur, Vera Wang, etc. They also had a girl doing lovely hand calligraphy on a custom order when I was in the store. I wish they offered classes! The Dandelion Patch has a love — which I do not personally share — for things Vera Bradley and jokes about wine. They balance this out with some very sweet gifts for babies and younger children. It would be a great place to pick up a baby shower gift. I left with several boxes of stationary and cards. I will certainly be back. The customer service was very good.

This review is for The Dandelion Patch’s new location on Library street, located on the side of South Moon Under(I alerted Unilocal about the address change and they created a new listing, so I moved my recent review). The Dandelion Patch is a cute and cheery store boasting scarves, trinkets, sorority and university memorabilia, cards/stationery, bags(mostly Vera Bradley), and a variety of planners(momAgenda and Jonathan Adler etc). There were three staff people working at closing time on a Sunday so I assume they get a decent amount of business for personalized stationery and wedding invitations. I noticed patrons mentioning appointment times etc, so I am assuming that’s why additional staff is needed. I was looking for a pair of the World’s Softest Socks(brand) and this is the only local store that sells them according to the sock website. The Dandelion Patch had a small rack of socks and booties. I bought a pair as a gift and one pair for myself. They are pretty comfortable but get a little too toasty to the point my feet actually get cold, if that makes sense. They fit sizes 6 – 11 but I am size 8 and they feel a little tight. Anyways, this store is a good option if you want to personalize items or find a small but thoughtful gift for someone. They also had some really pretty university themed ornaments.
