Had the original gyro. Got admit it wasn’t bad. But not the best I ever had. Downfall, the gyro was super cold.

Got the Caesar pita for lunch one day last week and have wanted another ever since! Definitely a popular lunch choice for those in the area. So good!

This place is a good for a cheap quick lunch. I have tried their pita sandwiches and salads and they are both decent but to me the food is too plain for my liking and I’m not a huge fan of hummus.

Yuck!!! The meat/falafel used in their pitas are just bad. Stick to the hummus appetizers and salads. Prices and speed are ok — it’s the protein that needs improvement. Still, I’m glad they’re close to my office, and reasonably priced. Just not real tasty.

Warm and fresh pita sandwiches. It’s tucked away in this office bldg. They need a sign outside because it’s the perfect quick and healthy lunch. Had the veggie delight… and I am a carnivore!

Generally like the fresh ingredients and selection — I’ve been here a few times. Agree with other comments about falafel and that Café Sano is so much better. But the service is HORRIFIC. No matter how friendly and polite a patron is the girl at the register is fantastically unfriendly, doesn’t smile and doesn’t have manners. Just right now as I’m writing this ignored my smiling thank you to her. Yeah I’m sticking with Café Sano.

As far as pitas and sandwiches go, this place is pretty mediocre. It’s a nice quiet find but the falafel was too fried, ingredients were just plain, including somewhat wilted iceberg lettuce and soggy tomatoes. I ate it and I was content, but I was not impressed. Also, and I don’t know how only one reviewer has mentioned this, but this place is not an easy find. It is hidden in the lobby of a building with no signage whatsoever, leaving anyone that makes their way down the street to believe that Unilocal has lied to them. Trust, it is in the building, despite what it may look like.

Falafel, hummus and veggies on a warm whole wheat pita for me. Gyro and Tzaziki for him. Inexpensive and delicious. I followed the Unilocal directions and used the pictures you peeps submitted to help find the right office building. Easy peasy, thanks folks! It was hopping when I was there at 11:30, but they were friendly and efficient. The Line moved quickly. Looking forward to trying the sampler appetizer platter in the future, but I would order my pita again easily.

Pita Pit it is not. Save your money — drive the 1.2 miles to Cafesano and have a fantastic meal for just a few more dollars. Also, this location sits unmarked(from the street) in a nondescript office building, so best of luck finding it(as GPS takes you to the building next door). Both my wife and I left without finishing our meals and drove immediately to Cafesano to get a proper meal. If you do go AND find the place, get it to go as they don’t have seating for more than 20 people.

Nearly three years later and nothing has changed. I am convinced that they have the best pita bread that you will ever consume, and that their pita sandwiches are killer as well. My jam, and go-to is the chicken hummus veggie with red pepper hummus, and no cheese at all. It makes it healthier and I HAAAATTEEEEE feta cheese. Been here 50+ times now(literally) and I’ve never been disappointed.

I first discovered Perfect Pita in Crystal City. Then I moved to Reston for work and there was one there too! Great place to grab lunch or breakfast. I love their egg, ham, and cheese pita for breakfast. The gyro makes for a tasty lunch, esp. that tzatziki sauce. Yum! The thing I recently discovered was their rice pudding. This stuff is AMAZING! It’s the perfect balance of sweet and creamy. Seriously some of the best rice pudding I’ve ever had and at such a reasonable price — under $ 3. I also like that you can place a phone order to pick up on rush days.

Yeah, this place is pretty damn good. The hours are really inconvenient, but the pitas are great. I’ve tried the gyro hummus veggie and the steak and chicken, which were both around six bucks, and are a decent amount of food for the money(not QUITE Chipotle portions, as someone suggested, but certainly not disappointing). I’m gonna stick with the pitas that contain hummus from now on, though. the extra 50 cents to get hummus instead of mayo is beyond worth it.

***UPDATE– I came here last week craving these lovable pita creations only to be stonewalled with a print-out reading that Perfect Pita will be closed at 3pm starting in October. That’s nice and all except for the fact that it was 2:40pm on August 9th. Very disappointed I was. My rating is now 4 stars. As my past reviews have indicated, great food comes with great responsibility and unfortunately bad management is the only way to screw up great food. — — — - Finally an establishment that lives up to its name! I would have to agree that this place does have a perfect pita. The warm, oven-fresh, pitas are only the beginning. I have ordered the steak & cheese, chicken & cheese and dared to order the steak & chicken pitas and yet to be disappointed. Although I should warn you that the chicken & cheese comes with mayo and I’m just not a mayo person, so I asked for the thousand island dressing on it instead and the flavor is just amazing. Like my favorite original location in Springfield(previously known as «Atillas», which is not on Unilocal by the way), this place is hidden away in the lobby of an office building and unfortunately only open until 3pm daily due to the nature of it being in an office building. My ONLY gripe about this place is that it’s not open later. Overall, brought back great old memories of eating their pita pockets back in high school in the 90’s at their shady warehouse location off Fullerton Rd in Springfield, in fact I think it actually tastes better now. Whether you go to Springfield or Reston locations, you will not be disappointed.

I eat here every day since I work in this building. The pitas are decent, kinda chewy, but not bad. The hummus is awful though. It’s really thin and acidic, like they put in 3x the right amount of lemon juice. I started buying hummus elsewhere and keeping it in the office kitchen. The stuffed grapeleaves are alright, again too acidic. I think they treat lemon juice as Magic Make It Good juice and fail. Also, they don’t have tahini, just tzatziki, which isn’t very friendly to non-dairy people like me. Edit: on the plus side, they have Boylan’s! Boylan’s root beer is pretty much the best root beer there is. They’ve got a big range of Boylan’s beverages, including birch beer, which I didn’t think I could find south of Buffalo.

I’ve been here twice now, both times getting one of their«signature» pitas. It’s just on the outside edge of how far I’m willing to go from my office for lunch — which unfortunately means I’m going to have to abandon it when my office moves — but for now, it’s a good, fairly healthy, very tasty lunch. If you’ve been considering going, go. it’s somewhat out of the way, tucked away back in an office park with no other restaurants around(or if they are, they’re even better hidden than this place) Moderately expensive for«fast food» type lunch, but better for you(I suspect) than chipotle, it’s similarly fulfilling without the resulting bloat & food-coma.

This little shop at the bottom of this corporate building is a perfect half mile drive for me to have a quick meal during lunch for cheap. You can walk away from this place with a hefty pita, chips, and a drink for less than $ 7 and be content until dinner. I prefer the turkey veggie humus(jalapeño) pita on whole wheat. Add hot sauce as necessary. Tasty…

Preface/background: I eat more than average in terms of quantity(I’ve eaten 2 Chipotle Burritos in one sitting) but appreciate quality and am always looking for a great deal. I came here on a recommendation from an acquaintance. I’ve been here about 4 times now. **$ 5.99 for the Chicken Hummus Pita. **$ 5.49 for the Sir Caesar Pita. I’ve tried both, the Sir Caesar Pita didn’t quite cut it because it’s a cold pita. The Chicken Hummus(with the red pepper hummus) is a solid choice. The warm/toasted pita was bigger than expected(think: ½ of a Chipotle burrito quantity) and it had melted provolone cheese with feta cheese crumbs scattered on the inside, as well as the standard lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. The hummus is awesome, it is the kicker for what makes this pita so awesome. The Caesar Salad is pretty standard and is nothing to get excited about. Like the other Unilocalers said, it’s in an office building, so once you turn on Alexander Bell, you just keep driving straight, cross the pseudo cul-de-sac and keep driving until you’re about to hit the building. That building is 1835, and the Perfect Pita is right there. «The Perfect Pita» is a little bit of an overstatement, but at ~$ 6.50 for a decent sized, above average quality meal, it is a definite keeper and I am probably going to come here at least once a week.

I was sent a recommendation by a friend about a favorite lunch spot and she knew there was a location in Reston. I am always down to try new places and thought to myself… I have to know about this place. I mean come on, I am a Unilocaler! lol Well after getting name and direction to this place I still had a hard time finding it. It’s in a business office on the ground floor. Diamond in the ruff? We will see. I had the Chicken and Spinach melt w/white bean salad. Staff was friendly, place was clean and everything in the menu looked pretty tasty. While I waited for me food to be prepared I sampled various hummus dips… very tasty and made a mental note to pick up some for the next cookout/party. The pita was nice and fresh, plenty of chicken and spinach, added Jalapeño hummus per recommendation. This place rocks, good change of pace for lunch and great spot to eat with my veggie friends. The white bean salad was on point and would order it again. Basically this place has earned a spot in my rotation and will soon try everything else on the menu. Only suggestion for this place is to maybe get a sign on the main road, as there are several office buildings in that area and makes it quite difficult to find.

Going the full 4 stars this time. Had a delicious sandwich — steak and chicken. It was jam packed with chicken and steak, the way it should be. As a combo its a bit under $ 7. Not a bad price, not sure why i didn’t go 4 stars last time. Only problem is location, its the first floor of an office building in an office park. Very tasty this time though
