I have to disagree with the previous review. La Scala is amazing. Maria the owner know what she’s doing. This is not a foo foo-ey bridal shop full of fake sales people trying to make you feel special. It is one on one focus of you and your dress. Yes it is a little bit of a drive to get to, but it is well worth it. Just by being there for 10 minutes you can tell the customer loyalty she has. she is always busy! There was one woman who came in while i was there who had her make her own wedding dress, and was coming back for her twins to have their christening gowns made. I wouldn’t trust my dress with anyone else. :)

I hate to give bad reviews, but this one is necessary for the other trusting brides out there. My bridesmaids and I met the owner at a Bridal Expo. Now, we had done our research when it came to the bridesmaids’ dresses and picked out about 10 we liked from a specific designer, Bill Levkoff. At the Expo, we asked the women at the table if they carried Bill Levkoff, and the response was«Of course! We have the whole line!» My bridesmaid and I, excited and astonished that she had the WHOLE line, went through each design we liked, asking her if she had the dress. She said yes, perhaps in different lengths or colors(of course) but she had each style. We were so excited that we could potentially try on everything we liked in one place that we made an appointment on the spot for the next weekend. When we got there 15 minutes early — I was greeted not by «Hello» but by «You cannot come in here with that(my travel coffee mug).» Understandable — I put it back in the car. However, that was the only thing anyone said to us within the first 15 minutes. No «How can we help you today» or «Here are the bridesmaids dresses, what are you looking for?» There was another bridal party there trying on dresses and the women working were paying attention to them, so we(my 3 bridesmaids, my mom, and I) found the bridesmaids’ section and decided that it was a «help yourself» kind of place. First of all — the dresses were in horrible shape and were not well kept. Many were wrinkled, torn, dirty, and pilled. Secondly, they did not have a SINGLE one of the dresses we had asked her about a week prior. When I asked her where a certain dress style was, she said, «Oh I told you on the phone(What phone call?) that we have similar dresses to that style» and then pulled out a dress in a different material, with a wide belt(not something I wanted to put my petite bridesmaids in) with a different neckline and a different shape and said, «This one is exactly like one you’re talking about.» It definitely was not. Thirdly, when we found a couple to at least try to make the best of a horrible situation, we received no assistance in clipping the dresses to make them fit(I have tiny bridesmaids) — we were simply handed a handful of safety pins. After a half hour in that store, we had had enough and walked out. No goodbye, no thank you, nothing from the owner. A definite waste of time as it was 30 minutes out of our way. We went to a different bridal shop(Precious Memories where I had gotten my dress) where, even though it was PACKED and we didn’t have an appointment, we had an assigned saleswoman to help us, who made suggestions, helped my bridesmaids in and out of their dresses, and who we decided to buy our dresses from because the experience was FANTASTIC(and the dress she suggested was GORGEOUS and within our price range). La Scala is probably good for prom dress shopping, but definitely not worth the terrible customer service or the drive or the money.
